Abstract

This research aims to improve Indonesian language learning outcomes by using a problem solving learning model of class VI SDN 010 Talontam. Class action research is an effort to improve various kinds of learning problems in the classroom. Data analysis of teacher activities after the study is in the initial data of 52%, then the second meeting is 64%, the third meeting is 75%, and at the fourth meeting is 90%. Student activity data after research has increased at the first meeting only by 55%, at the second meeting at 67, at the third meeting at 73%, and at the IV meeting at 92%. Improved learning outcomes are obtained after a daily test, in UH I the average student learning outcomes are 75 and in UH II 89 is a significant increase. By looking at the data above that the application of an effective problem solving learning model to improve Indonesian learning outcomes in class VI SDN 010 Talontam District of Benai.

Abstract

This research is background by the existence of students who have low motivation, this situation is characterized by a lack of enthusiasm in the learning process activities, lack of student attention to the teacher which results in not achieving an expected goal. This study aims to determine the relationship between extrinsic motivation and mathematics learning outcomes. The type of research used is quantitative research with correlational methods. The sample was 2 classes at SD Muhammadiyah 6 Pekanbaru using Saturated Sampling techniques. Extrinsic motivation data taken from questionnaires that have been filled by students, mathematics learning outcomes data taken from odd semester exam scores. Data analysis techniques go through four stages, namely data presentation, normality test, linearity test, and hypothesis testing using the Pearson Product Moment (PPM) correlation test. From the results of data analysis, the relationship between extrinsic motivation and mathematics learning outcomes of 0.662 is relatively strong. With a contribution of 43.82%, the remaining 56.18% is determined by other variables and the significance value is t count> t table or 5.790> 1.681, then Ho is rejected, meaning there is a significant relationship between extrinsic motivation and learning outcomes in mathematics.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine the increase in the higher-order thinking skills of PGSD students by using an open-ended approach. The study was quasi-experimental research with a non-equivalent control group design conducted in the PGSD UNP department. The results of this study stated that there were differences in the average N-Gain of HOTS PGSD students who learned using the open-ended approach with students who learned to use the conventional approach in the basic social studies concept subject. This research proved that there was a significant increase in students learning by using the open-ended approach with students learning in using the conventional approach. The implications of this study can be used as an effort to improve student HOTS.

Abstract

This research is motivated the low  learning activity carried out by  students  which still passive so that the lack of student skills, one of which is communication skills. As an effort to improve students communication skills is  the aplication of a team quiz. Team quiz can be interpreted as a learning activity carried out in groups to discuss a material that is being studied. This research was conducted in class V SDN 016 Sako, Pangean District, totaling 75 students. The instrument used was the observation of students' communication skills. The results showed that the skills of students in the first cycle were 71.44 which was a good category, in the second cycle it increased to 83.23 in the very good category. Based on the research results, it can be concluded that the application of the team quiz method can improve students' communication skills. Students are able to ask questions and explain answers fluently and use language that is easy to understandably.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the low motivation to learn IPS students class I SDN 019 Aursati KecamatanTambang Kabupaten Kampar. This research is a research by applying instructional media with the aim toimprove students' IPS learning motivation. This research is a classroom action research conducted at SDN 019Aursati Kecamatan Tambang Kabupaten Kampar. Based on the result of the research, it is found that thestudents' learning motivation has increased every cycle, in the pre cycle the total score of learning motivationobtained by students is 369 with an average of 15 (low), in the first cycle increased to 436 with an average of 18(low) and in the second cycle increased to 693 with an average of 29 (very good). Based on this acquisition canbe concluded that the implementation of image media can increase the motivation of students of class I SDN 019Aursati Kecamatan Tambang Kabupaten Kampar.

Abstract

ABSTRACTThis research was motivated by the importance of naturalist intelligence on environmental care attitude. Naturalist intelligence is one of efforts to improve environmental awareness. Naturalist intelligence is a very important intelligence to have in this era. This kind of intelligence is needed because nowadays, the world is invaded by construction, technology and economics, which are caused by humans, so it is very necessary for people who have naturalist intelligence to devote themselves voluntarily to careand protect the earth. This study aims to determine the effect of naturalist intelligence with an environmental care attitude towards the fourth grade students of Gugus Harapan Public Elementary School in Salo District, Kampar Regency. This is a correlation research with quantitative methods. In order to obtain the data of naturalist intelligence and environmental care, this study used instrument in the form of a questionnaire. The results of the study showed that there was a relationship between naturalist intelligence and the environmental care attitude of the students of GugusHarapanelementary school in Salo District, Kampar regency. It can be seen that the value of r is 0.512 with the level of moderate relationship and naturalist intelligence influences the attitude of caring for the environment by 26.3%.

Abstract

The basic problem for students today is the low learning outcomes of students who have not achieved the completeness set by the government in the field of education. As found by researchers at SDN 06 Bathin Solapan, the low yield of class V Indonesian language learning. The research method used is classroom action research aimed at improving and improving the learning process in the classroom, classroom action research is an action research carried out with the aim of improving the quality of classroom learning practices. Data increases the analysis of observation of teacher activity at the first meeting by 58% with sufficient categories, at the second meeting of 70% in the good category, then at the third meeting amounting to 82% with a very good category, and at the IV meeting 95% with very good category. the increasing data on the observation of student activities at the first meeting was 60% with sufficient categories, at the second meeting 71% in the good category, then at the third meeting 86% with the very good category, and at the IV meeting 94% with the category very good. Data on the improvement of student learning outcomes, namely the daily test I of 83 and the second daily test of 90.By looking at the various data above, we can conclude that the application of the graphic organizer learning method can improve Indonesian language learning outcomes of fifth grade students of SDN 06 Bathin Solapan.

Abstract

POW+TREE Strategy helps students write and develop ideas easily. However, not all of the students were able to write text types. The objective of this research to find out whether there is a significant effect of POW+TREE Strategy towards students’ writing ability of the students at SDN 169  Pekanbaru.  This research was experimental research which had two classes experimental class and control class. This research focused on writing the next paragraph. The researcher applied the POW+TREE Strategy in the experimental class. While in control class the researcher did not apply the strategy. Further, the researchers gave two tests for the students, pre and post-test. Then, the researchers gave pretest before giving the treatment. And then, the researchers gave post-test after applied the treatment in the experimental class. The result of students’ score in the control class was, the researchers got a mean score of pre-test was 46.17. While, in post-test, the researcher got a mean score was 60.67. However, the researcher got the students’ mean score in the experimental class was 49.5. After the researchers applied the POW+TREE Strategy, the mean score of students become 65.50. Thus, there was an increase in students score after using the strategy. Based on the researchers’ analysis by using SPSS 22.0 program by using Kolmogorov-Smirnov, the researchers got a significant test was 0.05. it was same as the standard significant.  In brief, there was a significant effect of POW+TREE Strategy towards students’ writing ability of the students at SDN 169 Pekanbaru.

Abstract

Growing learning motivation and science processing skill are very difficult because of limited learning time at school which result in the application of learning motivation and science processing skill less than optimal. Through application creativity learning model, it is expected to be able to achieve the objectives of this research which is to analyze creativity learning model toward learning motivation and science processing skill. This research classified into quasi-experimental and the design was non-equivalent post-test only control group. All fourth-grade students belonged to the  population, contained 8 classes with 184 students. Technique for sample selection was random sampling and got experimental class with 31 students and control class with 30 students. Research instrument consist of questionnaire and essay test. Manova test was used to analyze the data and continue with LSD test. From the reseach, the result showed the significant effect toward learning motivation and science processing skill that proven by significance score 0.000 that means less than 0.05 then Ho is rejected and based on LSD test, ∆µ was less than LSD.. The findings portrayed learning motivation and science processing skill positively influenced by creativity learning model. Creativity learning model is suitable for dealing with low learning motivation and science processing skills and would be problem solving about learning especially in the use of learning model.

Abstract

Based on the results of observations of students in grade VI SD Negeri 001 Binamang known that during theprocess of science learning took place in the classroom seen that there are still many students who are lessconcentrated in learning, while doing the task of many students who see his friend's work, and student learningmotivation in the learning process IPA is not optimal so that result of learning result of IPA obtained by studentstill low. Only 55.6% achieved KKM in science subjects. The purpose of this study is to know that the applicationof thinking pair share learning method can improve science learning outcomes in grade 6 students of SD Negeri001 Binamang. This research was conducted in the 6th grade of SD Negeri 001 Binamang in the odd semester ofthe 2016/2017 learning year. This research started from September 2016 until October 2016. The subject of thisclass action research was conducted on grade 6 students of SD Negeri 001 Binamang. Number of students 18students consisting of 6 female students and 12 male students. This research is a classroom action research withthe application of thinking pair share learning method. This study consists of two cycles and each cycle consistsof four stages of planning, implementation, observation and reflection. The results of this classroom actionresearch is the application of thinking pair share learning method can improve the learning outcomes of sciencestudents of grade VI SD Negeri 001 Binamang academic year 2016/2017. Learning outcomes before PTK is 72.0with less category. The result of learning cycle I meeting 1 is 75.0 with enough category and at meeting 2 is 77.8with enough category. The result of learning cycle II meeting 3 is 80.0 with good category and at meeting 4 is82.2 with good category.
