Abstract

The study about the comparison of analytical performance of the determination of Pb metal ions using Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometer in various laboratories in samarinda has been conducted. The validated methods are linearity, detection limits, quantity and precision limits. The results showed, a standardized regression test obtained by laboratory A, a value of R2 ≥ 0.4103, laboratory B a value of R2 ≥ 0.983 and laboratory C, a value of R2 ≥ 0.000. The detection limit found at laboratory A was 0.6728 µg/L, laboratory B was 0.1989 µg/L and laboratory C was 0.0001 µg/L. The quantization limit obtained by laboratory A was 0.6817 µg/L, laboratory B was 0.6063 µg/L and laboratory C was 0.0001 µg/L. The precision test of laboratory A was 7.2208, laboratory B was 5.4557 and laboratory C was 0,000. The result of determining Pb of gas station soil samples in laboratory A is 0.737 µg/L and laboratory B is 0.391 µg/L, so that means they have exceeded the quality standards set by the Indonesian National Standard (INS).

Abstract

The Research has been conducted on the synthesis of chitosan-silica adsorbents from chitosan and silica derived from TEOS (Tetraethyl Orthosylicate). The chitosan-silica was made by mixing chitosan solution and silica soles that were previously chitosan we were added with acetic acid and silica solution we were added with aqueous solution, ethanol and HCl(p). The result from characterization of FT-IR chitosan-silica adsorbents indicates the presence of OH, NH2, Si-O, Si-O-Si, chitosan adsorbents that only have OH and NH2 groups and silica adsorbents that only have OH, Si-O and Si-O-Si groups. Application of chitosan, silica and chitosan-silica adsorbents to adsorp Cd2+ ion. Cd2+ ion concentration after adsorption was determined by atomic absorption spectrophotometer (AAS). Adsorption Cd2+ ion in chitosan-silica successfully indexed Cd2+ by 98.67% while for chitosan adsorbents by 97.87% and while silica adsorbents by 79.45%. The Sem results showed that when adsorbents before soaking with Cd2+ it was seen that the morphology of the surface of the pores adsorbent there is still a cavity then when after soaking with Cd2+ pores filled by ions Cd2+.

Abstract

ABSTRACT The preparation of acetyl ascorbate by acetylation without solvent and catalyst has been carried out. The preparation of acetyl ascorbate is carried out by reacting ascorbic acid with anhydrous acetic acid using a 1:1 mole ratio without solvent and catalyst. The acetylation reaction was carried out using the reflux method at 700C for 5 hours. The result of acetyl ascorbate acetylation is a yellow powder with a yield percentage of 71.8182%. The functional groups of the synthesized compound in the form of acetyl ascorbate were analyzed using a FT-IR spectrophotometer. The FT-IR analysis results show the functional groups OH, CH sp3, C=C, C=O ester and C-O-C ester. Based on these results it can be seen that acetyl ascorbate has been formed.

Abstract

The research about in vitro trakeospasmolytic response of methanol extract of Macaranga lamellata Whitmore leaves was carried out. This research was conducted to determine the spasmolytic effect of the methanol extract of Macaranga lamellata Whitmore leaves on changes in separate organ of the guinea pig ring tracheal. The methods used include the bioassay isolated organ with two groups of treatment, control group and extract group. Methanol extract was given cumulatively on the organ bath. Positive control is used aminofilin and negative control is used DMSO solvent. Phytochemical test results showed that total methanol extract contained alkaloids, polyphenol, steroids, flavonoids dan saponins while phytochemical test results showed on ethyl acetate fraction contained alkaloids, polyphenol, steroids, quinons dan flavonoids. The Percentage change in tracheal smooth muscle as a spasmolytic response by using methanol extract with cumulative concentration of 0.3, 1 dan 3 mg/mL respectively -24.925%; -29.865% and -36.795% . This research is shown methanol extract of Macaranga lamellata Whitmore leaves have antiasthma effect based on the tracheospasmolytic activity. Keywords: Antiasthma, Bioassay isolated organ, Macaranga lamellata Whitmore, Marmot, Trakeopasmolytic.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Phytochemical test and antibacterial activity of methanol extract of Okra (Abelmoschus esculentus (L.) Moench) fruit have been carried out. Extraction using maceration method. The methanol extract of Okra fruit contains phenolic secondary metabolites, alkaloids and steroids. Antibacterial activity opposes the agar diffusion method against the bacteria Salmonella typhi and Steprococcus mutans. The Minimum Inhibitory Concentration Value of Okra fruit methanol extract against Salmonella typhi bacteria at a concentration of 0.625-1.25% and against Streptococcus mutans bacteria 1.25% -2.5%. Okra fruit methanol extract has antibacterial activity with wide variations. Keywords : Abelmoschus esculentus (L.) Moench, antibacterial activity, secondary metabolites, Minimum Inhibitory Concentration (MIC).

Abstract

Determination of the parameters verification of anionic surfactants in waste water samples based on the MBAS (Methylene Blue Active Substances) method using a UV-Vis spectrophotometer has been done. Verification of the measurement parameters refer to SNI 06-6989.51- 2005. The measurement results of several verification parameters is good showed that the linearity of the measurement indicated by the correlation coefficient value of 0.9909. The detection limit and quantitation limit values obtained were 0.3622 mg/L and 1.2072 mg/L respectively. The precision value with %RSD was 2.5415%, and the %RPD value was 3.0686%. It is stated that this method can be used for the analysis of anionik surfactants in laundry wastewater and can be applied as a routine test at PT. Global Environment Laboratory.

Abstract

Synthesis of silver nanoparticles (AgNPs) with the addition of Trisodium citrate 1% as a reducing agent and stabilizer in AgNO3 by chemical reduction. The obtained AgNPs were characterized using UV-Vis Spectrophotometer, PSA (Particle Size Analyzer) and TEM (Transmission Electron Microscopy). Concentration optimum gNPs is 1 mM AgNO3 with the addition of 6 mL of Trisodium citrate 1% at heating temperature 85OC for 13 minutes stirring. Characterization of AgNPs with TEM resulted in average particle size of 46,5 nm with various shapes of triangels, rectangles, hexagons and rounds. The synthesized silver nanoparticles (AgNPs) were used for analysist chloramphenicol. The measurement results of the calibration curve show that the linear equation y = 0,0078x + 0,8623 with a correlation value of r 0,9954. The results of the validation form precision values is 0,54759 % has met a good precision, namely KV 2%.

Abstract

Endophytic bacteria is one of the source of extracellular enzymes producer. Enzymes that produced by endophytic bacteria are more beneficial because they can be cultured in small spaces with big quantities, relatively fast time and cheaper production costs compared to the sources of enzyme from plants and animals. This study was conducted to obtain amylase, lipase and protease from endophytic bacteria of ciplukan leaves (Physalis angulata L.). The research method used is experimental, by isolating endophytic bacteria from ciplukan leaves (Physalis angulata L.) in Nutrient Agar (NA) media and screening tests of extracellular enzyme activity from endophytic bacteria isolates. The isolation results was obtained 24 endophytic bacteria isolates that 4 bacteria isolates produce amylase, 3 bacteria isolates produce lipase and 2 bacteria produce protease.
