Abstract

The research abaout the use ash of eggchell as source of base catalyst in application for reaction of transseterification from fish baung fat. Conten of base compound in eggchell ash was analyzed by AAS and acidy alkalimetry. The result of the research showed that calcium concentration as carbonat calcium salt in the as of eggchell was 74,8% (w/w). weight variation on the eggchell as catalyst transeterification process is performed to find the optimum reqaction condition if the biodiesel production. Aqquisition of the highest biodiesel yield at catalyst weight of 2,5 % was 96.7663 %. The composition of fatty acid of fish baung fat from transesterification result it is determinate with FT-IR and GC-MS. GC-MS analysis showed that fatty acids are the dominant constituent in the biodiesel is methyl oleate in the amount of 39,39%.

Abstract

The research about application of electrocoagulation method regarding the decrease level of metal ion such Fe, Mn, turbidity and color on peat water treatment ini batch method had been done. The research in batch method using alumunium (Al) plat as electrode until obtained higher efficiency elimination on voltages of 12 volt with electrocoagulation process time, 120 minute in batch method. The result on variation of voltages was capable to decrease Fe level with efficiency 99.87% from 3.6899 mg/L become 0.0045 mg/L and followed by Mn 95.90% from 0.0244 mg/L become -0.0008 mg/L, turbidity 98% from 385 NTU become 0,95 NTU and color 97.67% from 338.08 Pt-Co become 7.8646 Pt-Co. Long term variation of contact was capable to decrease fe level with efficiency 99.57% from 3.6899 mg/L to 0.0158 mg/L followed by Mn 93.03% from 0.0244 mg/L become 0.0017 mg/L, turbidity 99.74% from 385 NTU to 0.97 NTU and color 98.73% from 338.08 Pt-Co become 4.2985 Pt-Co. Abstract

Antihyperuricemia activity tests were conducted on an ethanol extract of green leaf plant red bud (Syzygium myrtifolium Walp.). Hyperuricemia is a condition in which uric acid levels in the blood increases due to the consumption of high purine is converted into uric acid. Antihyperuricemia activity test ethanol extract of green leaf plant red bud (Syzygium myrtifolium Walp.) Conducted on male white mice with a variety of doses of 1.85, 3.7 and 7.4 mg/kg. Extract dose of 7.4 mg/kg dose is the closest percentage drop on allopurinol which lowers blood uric acid levels at 55.04 %. Phytochemical screening showed that the green leaf plant red bud contains alkaloids, triterpenoids, steroids, phenolics, flavonoids and saponins. These results indicate that the ethanol extract of green leaf plant red bud has antihyperuricemia activity.

Abstract

A decrease in the intensity of dye Remazol Red RB 133 in batik waste with electrocoagulation method using electrodes aluminum and stainless steel has been done. Analysis was performed using a spectrophotometer Visibel. The results showed that the optimum effect of adding NaCl at a concentration 7 g/L with degradation was 84.95% percent, optimum contact time 60 minutes with degradation was 86.36%, stronger optimum voltage 12 Volts with degradation was 94.31% and pH optimum at pH 4 with degradation was 96.86%. Electrocoagulation in optimum condition dye Remazol Red RB 133 produces an average degradation was 96.41%, and electrocoagulation of batik waste obtained an average degradation was 91.38%.

Abstract

The synthesis of plastic production which can be degreded use manihot esculenta extract already researched. The method of this research using blending according to physics with the addition of glycerol as a plasticizer and FT-IR characterization. The result show that the glycerol concentrate that produce plastics which is easy to degreded well, exist in 45% concentrate whit a value of 25% water resistance and degradability value of 19,7 mg/day. The date of FT-IR give information that there are group alteration or between before and after glycerol increasing in long wave intensity

Abstract

Telah dilakukan penelitian analisis variasi nutrisi ammonium sulfat dan urea dalam pembuatan bioetanol dari kulit pisang kepok (Musa paradisiaca. L) dengan fermentasi menggunakan saccharomyces cerevisiae. Pada  penelitian ini hasil  menunjukkan  konsentrasi  ammonium  sulfat  0,5 %, 1 % dan 1,5 % yang optimum masing-masing konsentrasi menghasilkan kadar etanol yaitu sebesar 7,799 %, 5,195 % dan 3,121 % sedangkan pada konsetrasi urea yang optimum masing-masing konsentrasi menghasilkan kadar etanol yaitu sebesar 21,409 %, 16,809 % dan 22,439 %. Waktu fermentasi optimum pada ammonium sulfat adalah 7 hari sedangkan waktu fermentasi pada urea yang optimum adalah 5 hari. Berdasarkan uji statistik koefisien determinasi R2 dan dilanjutkan dengan koefisien korelasi terdapat hubungan waktu fermentasi dan penambahan nutrisi ammonium sulfat terhadap kadar etanol dan waktu fermentasi dan penambahan nutrisi urea terhadap kadar etanol. Kata Kunci : Bioetanol, Pisang Kepok (Musa paradisiaca. L), Ammonium Sulfat, Urea.

Abstract

A research on the analysis of metals Fe, Cu, Pb, and Zn in lubricating oils new Turbolube 32 and used using X-Ray Fluorescence aims to determine the differences in levels of Fe, Cu, Pb and Zn in the lubricating oil of new and used and know their the effect of duration of use of used lubricating oil to elevated levels of metals Fe, Cu, Pb and Zn in compressors operating system F4K-3. Lubricating oils are used to reduce friction and wear two metal surfaces, the existence and the increase of heavy metals in lubricating oils indicated the occurrence of wear and tear on the engine compressor. From the research, it can be concluded the difference between new and used lubricating oil, lubricating oil does not contain metal new Fe, Pb and Zn but contains Cu amounted to 25.36 mg / L. In Used oil contains metals Fe, Cu and Zn with elevated levels of various metals iron (Fe) 6.243 mg / L, metal Copper (Cu) 41.260 mg / L and zinc (Zn) 32 469 mg / L except metals Lead (Pb) there is no difference between New and Used Lubricating Oil is still 0:00 mg / L or below the Lower Limit of Detection XRF 5.3 mg / L. using Simple Linear Regression correlation coefficient lows of iron (Fe) 0913 and the highest zinc (Zn) 0969 this suggests there is a relationship between duration of use of lubricating oil in the compressor with elevated levels of metals iron (Fe), copper (Cu) and Zinc (Zn). Improved metals in used lubricating oil indicates the wear and tear on the compressor engines except metal Lead (Pb) no elevated levels of metals.

Abstract

Synthesis of ascorbyl palmitate from methyl palmitate and acetyl ascorbate through interesterification reaction has been done. Modified were done to improve the nature of ascorbic acid that only soluble in water (lipophobic) become soluble in oil or fat (lipophylic). The interesterification reaction conducted with molar ratio 1:4 (methyl palmitate:acetyl ascorbate), lipase from coconut as a catalyst with amount 70 % from its substrat, pH 7, the temperature reaction 40-50 °C and the reaction time is 48 hours so the yield produce is 46,7241 %. Characterization of the functional group were confirmed with FT-IR. Analysis of antioxidant activity using radical reduction method 2,2-diphenyl-1-picrylhidrazyl (DPPH) result the antioxidant activity value of ascorbyl palmitate is 45,41 ppm. The result showing that ascorbyl palmitate synthesized is have a potency as an active antioxidant.

Abstract

The extraction avocado seed (Persea americana Mill) is done by soxhletation method using ethanol 96%. Results soxhletation 146.01 grams powder of avocado seeds obtained 85.76 grams of ethanol extract. Ethanol extracts of avocado seeds concentrated using a rotary evaporator obtained 43.38 grams. Phytochemical results showed that the ethanol extract of avocado seeds contains of compound flavanoid, tannins and anthocyanin. Stability test of the color substance ethanol extracts of  avocado seeds conducted on the influence of 40 oC, 50 oC, 60 oC, 70 oC and 80oC, the influence of pH 3, 4, 5 and 6 and the influence of prolonged storage of 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 days at a wavelength of 200 to 400 nm. Observation data were analyzed by ANOVA and Duncan test.Keywords: Phytochemicals and color substance stability.

Abstract

The research about analytical performance optimization to the determination of fluorine’s concentration inside coal using visible spectrophotometry method has been done. The optimum result of the obtain for measurement, some parameters of measurements were validated. Parameters of validation used in this research are accuracy, precision, linearity, LOD, LOQ and robustness of the method. The results of research obtained, the accuracy was 99,34% described in percent of the recovery, obtained precision are 0,4309% described in percent of RSD with linearity equation was y = 10,79x + 16,77. The result of measurement is very good which described by the value of LOD 0,0638 ppm and LOQ 0,2127 ppm. The conclusion of results are the determination of fluorine's concentration inside coal using visible spectrophotometry method have good precision and accuracy which can be accounted.
