Abstract

This research aims to produce teaching materials in the form of Student Activity Sheet (SAS) in transformations for students of class VII SMP/MTs based curriculum 2013 and to test the feasibility of SAS in mathematics learning. This research is a development with the steps of Research and Development (R&D) of the ADDIE   model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). The research is carried out at SMP N 1 Prambanan Sleman and SMPN 4 Kalasan, Sleman. The research data is obtained from the questionnaire evaluation media matter by media matter experts, questionnaire evaluation media by media experts, questionnaire evaluation student responses by students. The research data are analyzed by the process of descriptive analysis and the process of analysis questionnaire with Likert scale. The results showed that the SAS of mathematics developed are good quality with an average percentage of ideals 82,416% and validity criteria by 67,999% < 𝑋 ≤ 83,998%. DOI:  https://doi.org/10.30862/jhm.v1i1.804

Abstract

This study aims to improve student learning outcomes on the subject of equations and quadratic inequalities using cooperative model of NHT type. This research is a Classroom Action Research, using Kemmis and Taggart model, which is implemented in three cycles. Data were observed each cycle through learning result test, student and teacher observation, and interview. The data obtained are then analyzed through: data reduction, data presentation and conclusion. The results showed that the application of NHT, the type of cooperative model can improve students' mathematics learning outcomes, especially on the subject of equations and quadratic inequalities. DOI:  https://doi.org/10.30862/jhm.v1i1.733

Abstract

This research is an appreciation of local wisdom of Papuan culture. Various Papuan cultures that have been very united with the Papuan community, such as: Batik Papua, Rumah Kaki Seribu (Traditional House tribe Arfak Mountains), and the habits of eating areca in para-para pinang, are some Papuan cultural products that serve as subjects in this study. The three products of the Papuan culture was analyzed in relation to the mathematical concept so that it becomes a realistic context in this research. Abstract

This study aims to determine the understanding mathematical ability oftenth-grade vocational high school in making the exponent, squareroot, andlogarithm. This research method used is Qualitative Descriptive. This abilityis known after all the student complete ten questions given instrument testwas finding in the form of 10 questions understanding mathematicalcapability that has valid and reliable. The subjects were 19 student of class Xadministrative office in SMK Muhammadiyah 2 Bantul in the academic year2017/2018. Abstract

This research aims to design student learning activities on the concept of sets, especially operations on the sets. The research was conducted by using design research method with a mathematics realistic education approach. The subjects of this study are 42 students of mathematics education at the University of Papua taking lecture of realistic mathematics education. There are three stages in the implementation of this research, namely preliminary design, experimental design, and retrospective analysis. The results of the study show that the use of game "Lemon Nipis" can develop students' understanding significantly to the concept of operations on the sets. students are able to understand well and correctly basic operations on the sets, union, intersection, and exponentiation. DOI:  https://doi.org/10.30862/jhm.v1i1.770

Abstract

This research aim to develop the media of mathematics teaching using lectora inspire software in proportion material. This research was conducted as the research development, such as: visual aspect and audio, languages, the effect of use teaching strategies and material aspect. This research was involved the media expert, material expert and students’ response to conduct the research. Totally the media was developed showing the excellent criteria, it is 97% score based on the media expert and 86% based on the material expert. Based on the student responses, it shows 76% as the good criteria. So that why, the researcher can be concluded that this media gave a positive effect for the user, based on the results of students with 74% score and it can be as the alternative media to conduct teaching learning process. DOI:  https://doi.org/10.30862/jhm.v1i1.769
