Abstract

The sunlight that enters through the transparent glass will heat the Greenhouse Effect room, the air in the room will become hot, then the hot air naturally (air density becomes low) will rise upward following the slope of the transparent glass than through the Drying Rack while drying the corn. After passing through the Drying Rack continue to go above and out through the Turbine Ventilator, this Turbine will automatically move due to the pressure of the hot air coming out, and the turbine will rotate continuously if air temperature  is inside in the drying room larger than the outside air, and if there is wind speed around the Ventilator Turbine. The results of this study obtained a drying rate of 3.77 grams / minute and the efficiency of the corn drying equipment system was 52%, to use a Turbine Ventilator, whereas without using a Turbine Ventilator, the drying rate was 4.23 grams / minute and the efficiency was 32%.

Abstract

The creation of a good product PT. DIRGANTARA INDONESIA assisted with production machines, one of which is the machine CNC MACHINE (DOUBLE CINCINNATI Milacron gantry ALUMINIUM TYPE-F), the role of a machine type-f CNC machine itself is very influential in the existing production process at PT. DIRGANTARA INDONESIA. The lack of treatment systems for the repair and replacement of components caused because the machines that is already beyond the age of many techniques, resulting in the production of the company to become unstable.In this study used methods Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) and the concept of autonomous maintenance and using Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA) to determine analyze potential errors or failures, it is advisable to keep using autonomous maintenance as minor maintenance.            Analysis and discussion of the results obtained OEE decline in 2014 to 2015 is 86.15% to 75.62% drop is due to the low value avalaibility, and get the highest objective value RPN 441 on a 40 point damage to component Servo Off. Solutions to make improvements to enable the Total Productive Maintenance in which includes Autonomous Maintenance. Keywords: Total Productive Maintenance (TPM), Overall Equipment Efectiveness (OEE), Autonomous Maintenance, Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA)

Abstract

Indonesian taekwondo athlete's achievements have improved because he managed to win several medals in international championships. Being a taekwondo athlete requires a willingness, discipline, good physical condition, experience, mental endurance, unyielding spirit, and proper posture. The assessment process is still done manually by asking taekwondo for their availability in the match; therefore, it requires a decision support system to measurement of participants (taekwondoin).   Decision support is a way to provide problem-solving skills and be able to support the work of a coach in solving problems by giving suggestions towards certain decisions. The purpose of Simple Additive Weighting is to determine the feasibility of taekwondoin selection to become an athlete on the championship team. Dynamic criteria allow adding the criteria needed for coaches and managers. Coaches and managers also can refine taekwondo by adding the required criteria to the agreed additional criteria. The result of this paper is application can give the decision of athletes who deserve to enter the match team. To facilitate managers and coaches in screening the best athletes. The validation test results obtained 85% compatibility between the selection results in the application and manual calculations.

Abstract

Nature has been a great inspiration for engineering design. Flying insect, in specific, has been studied and being an inspiration in the development of flapping-wing micro aerial vehicle (FW-MAV). Each species of flying insect has its own wing kinematics, but most all of them generate the aerodynamic force with the same of three mechanism: delayed stall, rotational circulation and wake capture[1]. In this research, we conduct a parametric study on the FW-MAV with different wing shapes. There are two designs of the FW-MAV in this study, which have flapping angle of 80 and 120 deg. The three different shapes of wings are mimics from: desert locust, Monarch butterfly and rhinoceros beetle. The wings then attached to the FW-MAV and operated with voltage input of 1.5V. The force generated by the FW-MAV and the electrical current measured in a swing test, while recorded in 240 fps using action camera. From the test, we get the flapping frequency, generated horizontal force and power consumption. From this research we have several data that can be used for the further development of the FW-MAV.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is an expert system to diagnose diseases on web-based rice plants that can make it easy for farmers to get knowledge about rice diseases and how to handle them. Pagar Alam is a mountainous area, the majority of which are farmers. Data obtained from the Department of Agriculture of the City of Pagaralam stated that there were several types of rice planted in the Pagar Alam area, including Situbagendit, IR 64, Padi TS, Inpara 1-8, but most Cierang rice species were planted in the Pagar Alam area. It is not impossible for farmers to experience a yield setback, even to the point of crop failure due to lack of knowledge about the diseases that attack their rice plants. The system development method used is Rapid Application Development (RAD). Therefore, the researchers made an application of a Web-Based Expert System for Rice Disease Diagnosis to Improve the Welfare of Farmers in Pagar Alam City. With the application of an expert system, it can provide information on plant disease pests and can diagnose the symptoms of plant diseases, especially rice plants, as well as provide a solution to overcome them, which can later be used to reduce or reduce the risk of crop damage. The results of the study are in the form of an expert system for diagnosing diseases in web-based rice plants

Abstract

Electricity is one of the most elements needed in the life for any activities and productivities. In the other side, no electricity is the classically problem occurred for the any remote areas caused by no electricity supply by the agent of government. We are required to overcome the problem based on laverage of the existing resource, such as water, geothermal, wind, solar, etc. A small system use the waterflow in order to generate an electrical system known as microhydro has been developed for remote area in District Wonosobo Central Java. There are a waterways or water channel as a result of the dam of Galuh River. Flow of clean water condition has a constant throughout the year. Drains and location of research has a height difference of 6 m therefore has potential enough power to drive a turbine through an 25 cm diameter of a pipe used for the water input. The microhydro system has been developed with maximal capacity of 3000 kW. Electricity produced has been used for street lighting and any small enterprises, i.e. fish pond, chicken farm, and mushroom cultivation. This area was previously not affordable, now by this electricity become bright and productive.

Abstract

Sebagian Bandara di Indonesia dibangun untuk kepentingan Pertahanan dan Keamanan. Bandara tersebut dibangun dengan sistem pelapisan berorientasi lapis permukaan (bukan lapis pondasi/base). Saat bandara di design, traffic-nya sangat berbeda dengan traffic pada saat digunakan dari  sisi ukuran maupun frekuensi. Sebagian besar bandara di Indonesia dibangun secara bertahap dengab segmentasi perkerasan yang berbeda. Sebagian dibangun diatas tanah lunak, dengan kapasitas daya dukung yang sangat rendah. Sebagai contoh APT Pranoto Samarinda, H. Asam Sampit, Juanda Surabaya, dll. Sebagian dibangun di pegunungan, dengan luas bidang/medan datar (flat) yang sangat terbatas, contoh wilayah pedalaman papua). Bandara di Indensia yang telah dibangun juga dapat mengalamai kerusakan. Secara Umum ada 5 Tipe kerusakan :retak (Cracking), kerusakan pada sambungan (joint seal damage), kerontokan (disintegration), perubahan permukaan konstruksi (distortion), hilangnya kekesatan permukaan konstruksi (loss of skid resistance).  Bandara yang mengalami kerusakan dapat mengganggu operasi penerbangan: delay, cancel, diverted, RTB. Kerusakan yang sering terjadi adalah: delamination, depression, dan pothole. Kerusakan tersebut dapat menimbulkan Foreign Object Damage (FOD) yang sangat membahayakan pesawat karena adanya benda asing yang dapat merusak body dan mesin pesawat. Penyebab kerusakan struktur perkerasan movement area (runway, taxiway dan apron) ada 4 faktor, yaitu : air yang meresap melalui permukaan perkerasan yang retak, misal air hujan. air yang berasal dari bawah perkerasan dan membasahi subgrade maupun subbase, misal air tanah, air yang berasal dari kawasan di sekitar bandara dan dapat menggenangi perkerasan, overload atau beban lebih  pavement bearing capacity atau max allowable gross weight dari perkerasan lebih rendah dari pada bobot pesawat yang dilayani (RTOW atau MTOW).

Abstract

This research has an aim to know the effectiveness of fuzzy logic which takes over the controlling of Proportional Integral Derivative (PID) in repairing the dynamic stability of electrical power system. This research begins with making the mathematic model of electrical power system into a circumstances variable equation and the plant system diagram block model. The structure of fuzzy logic controller system is designed by using 2-input which has three, five, and seven membership functions. The formed system work test is conducted by giving a disruption of increase and decrease electric power, to perceive the result of dynamic order on system variable to rotor speed deviation, angle rotor, voltage terminal, and power electric. Fuzzy logic can increase PIDPSS performance in repairing the electrical power system dynamic stability. The overshoot value decrease to 73.881% - 89.069% and settling time is 57.81% - 67.01% to the rotor speed deviation.

Abstract

In the last decades the development of telecommunications technology has increased. In the network access, one of the factors that influences was multipath fading. This study was aimed to simulate the effect of noise on digital communication error detection for various combinations of Eb / No, as well as simulating the effect of various diversity techniques on BER values. In this study the performance of the wireless network communication system was measured in bit error rate (BER) as a function of the ratio of bit energy to noise power. Result of simulation from AWGN channels obtained BER values at Eb / No are 2dB, 4dB, 6dB and 8dB, respectively 4 x 10-2, 1.2 x 10-2, 2.2 x 10-3 and 2 x 10-4. The BER results on fading channels using spatial diversity were better than BER on fading channels without any use of antenna diversity with a difference of 10dB.

Abstract

Banana is one of the favorite foods in Indonesia, one type of banana that is quite popular is Pisang Mas. Sometimes consumers have difficulty expressing the maturity of bananas at this time. Image processing can be one way to overcome this problem. In this study we will process documented banana images using a method used to change HIS space to extract the characteristics of banana skin color. The characteristic that is taken is the center of the image of a banana that is experienced as much as 15x15 pixels. Images of bananas are 20 pictures for ripe bananas and 20 pictures of raw bananas. The level of success in this study resulted in a value of 100%.
