Abstract

A prototype system for processing system and filling of drinks packaging using the PLC Omron CPM2A as central to the process and use the HMI as the interface to ease operator to set and view the condition of the system in real-time. There are 3 types of choice of materials that can be processed, in the process of processing liquid material will be transmitted to the main tank to be processed by means of heated and stirred with a mixer. When finished processing the results of processing will be filled into bottles. The results of tests on the prototype in part the processing in accordance with the design. There are 3 choices of beverage products namely coffemilk, Milktea and coffetea. On the third option can be processing operations properly. On the process of charging operations properly. On Charging there is 2 options i.e 200 ml and 250 ml. but for correctness of filling volume experiencing error 7-8%.

Abstract

Good airplane joining supports aircraft strength. The general joining process is using rivet as joining method. The parameter that affects the strength during the riveting process is the duration of the rivet head formation. The purpose was to determine the effect of the duration of rivet head formation on the quality of the joint. The research was carried out with the help of homemade tools, to ensure data consistency. The selected riveting duration is 3, 4, 5, 6 seconds. After connection, each connection was tested for strength through tensile testing and macro photo images from the joining. Results show that the 5-second duration provides the best connection with the tensile test results of 165 MPa. Based on the macro photo image, the 5 second rivet process produces the best connection because it produces the biggest rivet body so that it provides the greatest strength compared to the others.

Abstract

The public street light used to create good conditions for road users. The public street lamps must continue to be maintained to keep working properly. Currently, maintenance of street lighting is still done manually. In this research, a system was designed and implemented to detect lamp damage and control lights remotely using the WeMos D1 microcontroller. This system uses two LDRs as sensors and relays to activate the lights. The first LDR is used to detect ambient light. The second LDR is used to detect lamp conditions. Light control and detection use internet wireless networks and WeMoS D1 as a web server. The system can turn on and turn off the lights automatically, detect the condition of the lamps, and show the intensity of the light environment. Distance to control via a wifi hotspot using a computer is 72m and 20m for a mobile phone.

Abstract

Brake lining pad is important in driving safety. It must be able to stop the vehicle as quickly as possible. Calcium carbonate is The purpose of this study was to identify the effect of calcium carbonate to the brake brass-epoxy lining pad. Calcium carbonate meet have good physical properties, such as having low porosity and fine particles while brass has a good heat conductor and is corrosion resistant so it is resistant to heat. The tests carried out on brake pads include wear and hardness tests. The results showed that the optimal wear rate in a dry state (40% calcium carbonate-20% brass-40% epoxy) was 0.0352 mm²/kg. While the wear rate in wet conditions (20% calcium carbonate-40% brass-40% epoxy) was 0.0396 mm²/kg. The hardness brake lining pad (20% calcium carbonate - 40% brass -40% epoxy) was  176.44 kg/mm².

Abstract

Eco-airport used to reinforce critical decisions and supervision, to improving the operations and quality. In simulation of Urban Modeling Interface (UMI), the environmental component is shown, FAR (Floor Area Ratio) aspects used to determine the density of buildings in an area, Lyfecycle aspect used to determine the amount of pollution produced by the building sector in the region, energy operation aspects used to know the needs of energy are in use. In this study was obtained, the content of the highest CO2 emissions in the building owned by floor 2 of ATC with 679.77 kgCO2 CO2 / m2.

Abstract

Development of a class resource system that is integrated with the system that is the application-based system. One system that can be used is the Smart Class. Smart Class is a system that offers control of electronic equipment in the classroom using voice command control with a device that is Smart Speaker called Amazon echo dot which is used to facilitate the use of electronic devices in classrooms using Raspberry Pi Microcontroller technology by embedding smart class artificial neural network technology. With maximum performance at 1500ms to 2000ms on all conditions both sensors and actuators by iterating simultaneously 500 times with two hidden layers and the number of cells of each hidden layer is 9 and 5.

Abstract

Internet needs in education has become a basic requirement, whether it is for faculty, students, complementary components of universities such as bureaus, public relations, TU, and non-academic staff. As the number of Internet users continues to increase, especially in educational institutions, including STTA’s, an observation of the STTA Internet network data stream is conducted. A parameter to be observed is user's load, as it affects the quality of services that will be generated by the STTA Internet Network.This research provides an analysis to measure the size of user load as well as to know the amount of loss so that it can be a reference in subsequent research to reduce the amount of loss in order to fit in the good category traffic. Model sharing system is used to describe traffic data both elastic and stream at flow level.Observation results show that the average arrival rate of STTA is 11 kbps with average service rate of 59 kbps. This research uses the measured throughput of 86 Mbps. Throughput is calculated from the total number of bits of a successful packet arrivals per second via a network system. With the Internet link capacity of 100 Mbps STTA, after the analysis by the method of sharing system, it is seen that the traffic flow loss is 16%. From this traffic flow loss value, it can be concluded that the STTA’s Internet is include in medium category.

Abstract

In Indonesia the needs toward energy has been increasing. Therefore, eco-friendly renewable energy becomes an alternative power source. In relation to the idea, within the conduct of the experimental study the researcher designed a Savonius-type waterwheel with horizontal axis and the waterwheel was tested in the river stream. Then, within the design the researcher applied one waterflow regulator with the angle variation 30˚, 45˚ and 60˚. The study was conducted on river flow with a flow velocity of ± 0.6 m / s. the result is the addition of the deflector angle affects the ability to support the load, the maximum wheel efficiency(Cp) of 0.57.

Abstract

The need for electrical energy is increasing every year. The present electrical energy remains largely dependent on fossil energy and can not be renewed. Indonesia is one of the countries rich in renewable energy potential. The abundant energy in Indonesia is water energy as a mini / microhydro scale generator. The development of hydro power is to utilize the potential energy flow of water that has certain head and debit. Then the potential energy is converted by turbine and generator into electrical energy. The purpose of this paper is to conduct a theoretical study to design the optimal angle of archimedes screw with a relatively easy design method. Based on the results obtained geometry and arch angle archimedes screw design with 0.050 m external diameter, 0.030 m internal diameter 0.055 m and slope  angle (α) 450 generates shaft power of 5.11 Watt at 50 rpm rotation capable of producing efficiency 89% with head 1 m and debit 0.5 m / s.

Abstract

The power generated by a power plant driven by windmills and waterwheels and solar power is unstable,. each depends on wind speed, water flow, and solar radiation, repeatively. This results in the acquisition of energy not being optimal if the load is not adjusted to the capability of the generating power. In this study a load control automation system has been created that can adjust to the ability of the resource so that optimal energy is obtained by the hysteresis method. When the power goes up and down the load adjusts hysterically, so that optimal energy is obtained.
