Most of the previous articles show the discussion from the point of view of a daughter-in-law, but still rarely discuss it from the point of view of the mother-in-law. The method used in this article is the conceptual method. This method uses several references in discussing the issues raised. The purpose and benefits of this research are to enrich existing studies, but viewed from the perspective of the mother-in-law, then contribute to the resolution of conflicts that occur between the mother-in-law and the daughter-in-law who live together at the beginning of marriage. The conclusion is that mother-in-law entering middle adulthood must make adjustments to the changes that occur. One adjustment that must be done by the mother-in-law is the change in new family members, namely the presence of a daughter-in-law. The adjustment that must be done by the mother-in-law refers to five aspects. these aspects are having a perception of reality, someone's ability to deal with anxiety and stress, someone having a positive self-image, one's ability to express emotions well, and having a good interpersonal relationship with others. In addition, as a Javanese woman, mother-in-law must have values that are upheld, namely harmony, respect, self-control and patience.Key Words: Adjustments, Javanese Woman, Mother-in-law, Daughter-in-law

Abstract

The result of this study indicates that Dani women, viewed from the level of Education, Health, Economy, and Social Sectors have not been directly involved, but only a few involved in the four aspects studied. This is because the workload of women in the domestic sphere is far more than that of men, thus consuming women's time and energy. Besides that, the culture and mutual power are also quite high compared to other regions in Papua. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative method. The purpose of this study was to determine the situation of Dani women based on their involvement in aspects of Education, Health, Economy and Social sectors. Abstract

Abstract: This paper is based on the experience of nurturing and educating from a social worker at the Berdikari Foundation (pseudonym) in South Jakarta, in collaboration with the Manunggal Foundation (pseudonym), to educate abandoned children, who plunge into the Night world, as aneffortto "Reduce" these children. The Children collected and accommodated at the Berdikari Foundation are mainly girls from the ages of 17 to 24 years old and not married, nor have children. They are coming from Jakarta and the surrounding area. These girls are trained to live a disciplined life, educated ethically and to get regular junior and high school diplomas through education Package B and C. These children are accommodated and educated for a maximum of 1 year and a minimum of 6 months. During this education, contact with relatives and friends outside the shelter is limited, to the extent that is important and given the rules that they must obey. If they cannot obey it, these children will be returned to their parents. Thus, the gathering of these children must be acknowledged and approved by their respective parents. Thus, the data and finding sobtained are based on direct sources in the field. Hope from this Foundation, these children after the training period can come back in to the community with more confidence and equipped with adequate knowledge and skills. The Foundation's good relations with other parties and donors are the main stay to look for jobs that match the children's talents. The finding sobtained in the field that there is still a large number of failures, i.e. around 40% of young girls will return to prefer a free life and not expectfor a normal life, as expected by the Foundation and donors who contribute their energy and thoughts for this project. Therefore, other efforts also need to be considered in addition to educating them is the approach to the families of these "patients", so that they not only try to be free from the burden of responsibility for coaching their children, but also hope for a decent life and future for them. Abstract

Purpose: The purpose of this study is to investigate the extent to which male and female leaders report engaging in participative versus directive intellectually stimulating transformational leadership behaviour across three different contexts (business, government and military). Design/methodology/approach: Semi-structured interviews were conducted with 64 senior leaders (29 female and 35 male) across Canada. Findings: Leaders were more likely to describe using a participative versus directive approach to intellectual stimulation. Gender similarities and differences also appeared across contexts: government leaders reported almost twice as many directive examples as business leaders, and men and women in both of these contexts were very similar in their reports about how they enacted intellectual stimulation. In contrast, men and women in the military diverged, with male leaders reporting more participative behaviour than female leaders. Research limitations/implications: This study extends the leadership literature through an integration of participative and directive leadership theory with transformational leadership theory. Sample size and self-report data are possible limitations. Practical implications: Findings provide insight into the behaviours leaders engage in to enhance creative thinking and problem solving within organizations across different contexts and suggests that this aspect of transformational leadership is most likely to be enacted in a participative way by both male and female leaders. Originality/value: This is one of the first studies to empirically investigate participative versus directive transformational leadership behaviour. Gender differences between contexts are worthy of further study, specifically regarding the implications of these findings for female leaders’ promotion and career progression.

Abstract

This article describes the role of women members of the BPD (Village Consultative Body) in fighting for women's aspirations by taking case studies on female BPD members in Sindanglaya-Lebak Village and Hiliweto-Nias Village. The interests of women are sometimes still ignored and women do not have the space to convey their aspirations related to their needs, this is due to the social culture of the village community which considers women to only move to take care of the private sphere and do not have rights to a more general reach in society. The role of women who are placed in a strategic position, namely the BPD, can be present to fight for the interests of village women. This research was conducted using a qualitative approach. The collected data were analyzed using descriptive analysis. The results showed that the involvement and influence of female BPD members in Sindanglaya and Hiliweto villages had almost the same influence, such as in planning and participation in decision making, female BPD members were given the same opportunity to convey suggestions and decisions in BPD internal meetings and can convey their aspirations directly to the chairman of the meeting to channel the aspirations and interests of women so that they can be realized. The aspirations and interests of women in the village of Sindanglaya have been realized one by one, starting from the development of the posyandu and its equipment, to the provision of assistance to the Sindanglaya farmer group (KWT). In Hiliweto village, too, the aspirations and aspirations of women to be actively involved as village administrators have been realized by opening access to women as widely as possible.
