Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe the profile of class VII students of SMP Negeri 11 Kota Bengkulu academic year 2016/2017. This research uses quantitative descriptive method. Data in this research is data type and data in this research is student of class VII. Technique of writing data in this research is survey, a questionnaire. Data analysis technique is a percentage technique that is digging the data, calculate the percentage and analyze the data. Validity test using content validity and visible validity. The result of the research shows that the literacy profile of the students of VII SMP Negeri 11 Kota Bengkulu in the academic year 2016/2017 in 75% abituation aspect is appropriate but must be improved again and all the school should be involved in literacy activities. The literacy profile in making 78% decisions is appropriate but should be corrected again. The students' literacy profile in the learning aspect as a whole is 77% fit but must be folded again in critical thinking even though it is not included in the quality Keywords: profile, literacy

Abstract

The purpose of this research is know the category of vocabulary, phrase, and sentence of Indonesian child of PAUD Islam Al-amanah Tanjung Anom Village, Girimulya District, of North Bengkulu Regency. In this research, it is used descriptive method. Data collection techniques used recordings and field notes. The results showed that children have obtained nine categories of word classes, namely the verb, noun, numeralia, preposition, pronoun, interjection, conjunction, adverb, adjektive. The three categories of phrases are the noun phrase, the verb phrase, and the prepositional phrase. The six categories of sentences are clanged sentences, unpolluted sentences, verb sentences, orderly order sentences, command sentences and news sentences.Keyword: language acquisition, bahasa Indonesia, PAUD

Abstract

This research aimed to examine and develop three-dimensional drawing media pop up in learning to writing poetry in class VIII SMP Negeri 1 Ujan Mas Kepahiang Regency Year 2016/2017. The method used in this research is research and development. The subject of this research is the class VIII A which amounts to 29 students. Technique of collecting data  by observation, interview, and questionnaire. Data analysis technique is done by counting the number of percentage of the result of writing poetry. The results showed that SMPN 1 Ujan Mas needed media during the learning process, with the media can help improve students' motivation, in learning. In this research development, the researcher refers to research and development model (R & D) consisting of several steps as follows: (1) needs analysis, (2) development of three dimensional pop-up image media, (3). The percentage of students generated in writing poetry using three dimensional pop-up images is 76.96%. Based on the data analysis can be concluded the use of three-dimensional drawing media pop ups can help students in writing poetry. The learning process takes place more interesting using the three dimensional pop-up images. Keywords: learning media, pop ups, poetry

Abstract

This research entitled "Tradition of poem Reciprocated by Wedding ritual of Bengkulu Community". The poem reciprocated tradition is an ancient tradition which realized in communication, performances, containing cultural values, religion, ethics, and aesthetics and contains of text elements of text elements, place, instrument, audience and show context. To guide and direct this research writer used  folklore theory, oral tradition, and performaing arts. The data were collected by observation techniques, interviews, and documentation. The discussion result shows that the oral tradition of poem reciprocated has a noble value, namely socialization, aesthetics, religion, culture and history, on hereditary in Bengkulu society, especially in Penurunan and Sawah Lebar district. The traditions of poem reciprocated has been alive and developing in this region. the five stages of Poem reciprocated in the process of marriage ritual in Bengkulu community as follow are : 1) Telling/ delivering the intentions,  the intentions is delivered by elderly family from the groom. 2) Propose, the traditional head of the groom delivers the groom from man’s family. 3) handover the gifts, the delivery of dowries delivers from man’s family to the woman’s family to the woman’s family. 4) the marriage agreement. 5) The bride and groom is coming up, bring the groom to the groom to the bride’s house side by side on the aisle. The conten of the five stages of poem reciprocated traditions in the marriage ritual of Bengkulu people is guided by the community of supporters in their daily life, they belive that the social value in poem reciprocated, as a norm in the life demands and must be upheldKeywords: tradition, poem reciprocated

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine the perceptions of Indonesian teachers on Indonesian textbooks of the curriculum of 2013 class VII in terms of material or content and presentation aspect. This study uses purposive samples, the sample of this study are 9 Indonesian VII class teachers who already have certification or professional teachers in SMPN 1, 3, 4, 11. and 18 Kota Bengkulu. Data collection techniques used in this research is a questionnaire. Data analysis technique used this research is descriptive technique and simple count presented in tabular form. The result of the research shows that (1) teacher's perception on Indonesian textbooks of grade VII curriculum in material or content aspect get average grade 4,14 with appropriate criteria, (2) teacher perception on Indonesian text book of 2013 curriculum of class VII in The presentation aspect earned an average rating of 4.02 with the corresponding criteria. Keywords: perception, teachers, textbooks

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe the mastery of Indonesian language skills learning material of Indonesian Language Education Study Program of Teacher Training and Education Faculty of Bengkulu University in 2016. The specific purpose of this research is to describe the mastery of learning material of listening, speaking, reading and writing skills student of Indonesian Language and Literature Education Study Program FKIP UNIB. The method used in this research is quantitative research method. Based on the results of the study, its noted that the mastery of learning materials of Indonesian Language Skills on Undergraduate Studies Program Language and Literature Indonesia FKIP UNIB is still relatively low. The results showed that students who have a very good understanding of the category of learning skills of Indonesian language is only 10% of the overall research object. Students who have a good understanding of the category of learning skills of Indonesian language skills as much as 24%. The number of students who have sufficient mastery of the subject matter of Indonesian language skills occupies the dominant percentage with 45%. Students in the category have less mastery of Indonesian language skills learning materials as much as 16%. While 5% of students fall into the category of having knowledge that is still less once for learning materials Indonesian skills. Students should have a better mastery of learning materials in Indonesian language skills as a basic capital to teach Indonesian subjects, especially at junior and senior high schools. Therefore in the future it is expected to do more effective learning process improvement related to Indonesian language skills learning materials, so that students' mastery of learning materials of Indonesian language skills will be better. Keywords: mastery, learning materials, speech skills

Abstract

In learning activities always found the students who have difficulty in achieving the standard of competence, basic competence, and mastery of learning materials that have been determined. Broadly speaking the difficulty can be a lack of prerequisite knowledge, difficulty understanding learning materials, or difficulty in doing the exercises and solving repetition questions. In particular, the difficulties encountered by learners may include the lack of competence of a particular subject, such as numerical operations in mathematics, or reading and writing in Indonesian language. In order for learners to solve these difficulties need help. Such assistance shall be in the form of remedial or remedial instruction. For the purposes of providing remedial learning should be chosen strategies and steps appropriate after first held a diagnosis of learning difficulties experienced by learners. The purpose of this classroom action research (PTK) is to determine the improvement of student achievement by using Imaginative learning. This study was conducted in 3 cycles. From the results of actions performed proven to improve student achievement by achieving the ideal standard. From 70.58% in cycle 1, it can increase in cycle 2 to 75.33% and cycle 3 reaches 79.88% and has by-passed completion. The results of action research show that Imaginative learning can improve student achievement class VIII A with completeness reach 100% thus Implement Imaginative Learning Effective in Improving Student Achievement of Indonesian Language Lesson in SMP Negeri 20 Bengkulu Selatan..Keywords: Student Learning Achievement, Indonesian Language Lesson in Junior High       School, Imaginative Learning

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe the variation of spoken language in the column Mela Bengkulu People's newspaper commentary and language variations in the column Mela Bengkulu People's newspaper comments in terms of formality. This research uses descriptive research design and  using documentation technique as data collection tool. For data analysis, the following steps are used: (1) read carefully, (2) code every data obtained, (3) tabulate data used to describe language usage, (4) analyze data of spoken language in terms of level (5) classify the results of data analysis, (6) synthesize the results of classification, (7) conclude. From the result of the research, it is found that the variation of language in Mela Comments column used standard oral language and non standard oral language. Language variations seen in terms of formality are used diverse casual and familiar variety. The marker of standard oral spoken language is seen in the use of Indonesian vocabulary and diction and no regional language elements. Markers of oral spoken language use are not seen in non-standard word usage, regional/foreign language usage, slang usage and presence of expression statements. Markers of casual usage are seen in the use of regional/foreign languages, the use of non-standard words, the use of slang and expressions. The use of familiar varieties is seen in the use of the word hello, the use of regional/foreign languages and typical terms. Conclusion; Language variations in the October 26 to 24 November 2016 edition of Mela Comments column of 26 topics with 265 speeches, can be summarized by 38 speeches using standard oral language and 227 using non-standard spoken language. Abstract

The purpose of this research is 1) to know the ability to write text of critical responses of students of class IX SMPN 10 Bengkulu Utara, 2) to know the ability to write text of critical responses of students of class IX SMPN 3 Bengkulu Utara and 3) to know the difference of writing ability of critical responses between students Class IX SMPN 3 North Bengkulu and students of class IX SMPN 10 North Bengkulu. This research uses quantitative descriptive method. The population of this research is the students of IX class SMPN 3 Bengkulu Utara and the students class IX SMPN 10 Bengkulu Utara, the sample is taken as many as 100 students. Data collection techniques use critical capability writing text tests. The data analysis technique used is unpaired T-test. The results showed that the ability to write text critical responses in students of class IX SMPN 3 Bengkulu North categorized enough and students class IX SMPN 10 North Bengkulu good category. There was no significant difference between students of IX class 3 of SMP 3 Bengkulu Utara with students of class IX SMP 10 Bengkulu Utara. From the results of this study as for suggestions submitted for both schools are more understanding of the structure of text, language rules, and spelling of Indonesian so that the writings of students more qualified. Keywords: Differences, Writing Capabilities, Critical Response Texts

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe the quality of the language available in the novel teenager "D'Angel Princess" by Luna Torashyngu. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative method. Data in this study Various styles on the novel teenagers "D'Angel Princess" by Luna Torashyngu. Documentation technique is used in the data collection technigue. Data analysis technique in this research is done through steps, that is: (1) reading novelteenlit "Angel Angel" by Luna Torashyngu (2) hiding data, (3) classifying data, (4) analyzing data, and (5) conclude. Test the validity of the data is a credibility test conducted by increasing persistence with the supervisor during the process, and discussion with colleagues. The results found in the novel D'Angel Princess by Luna Torashyngu in slang and not used to separate the characteristics of the teen novel. Then the word denotation and author connotation to express and convince the compiler readers convey narration and description in the story, said Science used as a means to monetize a novel theme with a scientific theme, the words used to sort out teenage characters who look slang. The use of sentences is used to describe the main character in the sentence Usage. The author's written sentence contains descriptions and narrations to make the story more interesting and easy to understand. Comment topic sentence  gives a beautiful impression or a beautiful comment on the characters. Use of minor sentences is used  to give challenge and sincerity to what people say so that readers feel confidence. Minor sentences and reciprocal is used by writers when delivering narration in serious situations or moods.Keywords: language style, teenlit novel, "D'Anggel" by Luna Torashyngu
