Abstract

The city of Bengkulu, which is located on the southwest coast of Sumatra Island, Indonesia, is located in an area with quite high seismic activity. This region has a history of earthquakes and is prone to seismic events because it is located on a major fault line. The earthquakes that occurred in Bengkulu City in the 5 year period from 2018 to 2023, namely in 2018 there were 8 earthquakes, in 2019 there were 16 earthquakes, in 2020 there were 6 earthquakes, and in 2021 Until 2023 there will be 1 earthquake. Understanding the characteristics and impacts of earthquakes in Bengkulu City is very important in disaster preparedness and mitigation efforts. It is important for citizens and authorities to be aware of the potential risks associated with earthquakes and take appropriate action to ensure public safety. This includes implementing building codes and regulations that prioritize earthquake-resistant construction practices and conducting public awareness campaigns to educate the public about earthquake preparedness and response strategies.

Abstract

The focus of this research is to find out the efforts made by the community to overcome early marriage in Lawang Agung Village. Adapuan The aim of the research is to find out how efforts are made to overcome early marriage  in  Lawang  Agung  Village.  The  method  used  is  a  qualitative  method.  The  informants  that  the researcher took in This research consisted of ten people consisting of husband and wife couples who had legally entered into an early marriage, community leaders (village head, traditional leaders, religious leaders, village midwife)  and  the  community  in  Lawang  Agung  village.  Data  collection  was  carried  out  by  observation, interviews,  and  documentation.  The  data  obtained  was  analyzed  by  data  reduction,  data  presentation  and drawing conclusions. The research results show that the community in Lawang Agung Village has made various efforts  to  prevent  early  marriage  by  carrying  out  various  efforts,  such  as:  1.  Socialization  regarding  the negative effects of early marriage. Socialization has been carried out through youth posyandu. counseling about the health of childbearing age and the dangers of early marriage. However, socialization has not been carried out thoroughly. 2. Efforts to prevent early marriage for the community in Lawang Agung village.

Abstract

This research aims to observe the implementation of Sapta Pesona at the Fort Marlborough tourist attraction, Bengkulu City.  The fort has much interesting historical and cultural heritage, and as an important historical site, has great potential to become a tourist attraction.  To find out how Sapta Pesona can improve the quality of tourism in the area, researchers used qualitative and descriptive research by collecting information from tourist attraction managers and visitors through observation, interviews and documentation.  To attract tourists to return to this tourist spot, there must be elements of Sapta Pesona namely, Safe, Orderly, Clean, Cool, Beautiful, Friendly and Memories.  It is hoped that this research can provide suggestions for managers and related parties to improve the quality of tourism in the area.  By utilizing the existing historical and cultural potential, Fort Marlborough is expected to become one of the leading tourist destinations in Bengkulu Province, and attract more domestic and foreign tourists.
