Abstract

This research aims to classify students who have the potential to drop out using the Multilayer Perceptron (MLP) Backpropagation Artificial Neural Network method. The dataset consists of 1337 students which are then divided into training and test data with a ratio of 80%:20%. The classifier results show an accuracy of 94.7% for training data and 95.9% for test data. These findings indicate that the Backpropagation method with the MLP model is able to provide a very high level of accuracy, on average reaching 95%. This research is important because it can help campuses identify students who have the potential to drop out and provide timely intervention to prevent this. In this way, drop out prevention efforts can be improved, ensuring student academic success.

Abstract

The implementation of a feasibility study is carried out to assess a system whether the system being developed is feasible or not to be implemented. Later in this paper an assessment will be carried out on the suitability of the Riau Province Culture Service website using the TELOS method. The TELOS method consists of five feasibility factors, namely technical feasibility, economic feasibility, legal feasibility, operational feasibility and schedule feasibility. One of the feasibility factors for TELOS is economic feasibility using Payback Period (PP), and Return of Investment (ROI). The process carried out in this test is conducting literature studies, determining test factors, carrying out feasibility tests, analyzing the results and formulating test results. Based on the evaluation results of the 5 feasibility factors, a final score of 8.2 was obtained, which means that the evaluation of the development of the Culture Service website is WORTH IT (B), with a low risk of development occurring, so the Riau Province Culture Service website is suitable for development. Abstract

Chili peppers are one of the most popular vegetable crops among the Indonesian population. According to BPS data, both the consumption and production levels of large chili peppers and bird's eye chili peppers in 2022 exceeded those of previous years. Despite the high production levels, cultivating chili peppers is very risky due to frequent attacks by diseases and pests. Therefore, a system that can identify diseases or pests in chili pepper plants is needed. In this study, classification is divided into four categories: Healthy, Whitefly, Yellowish, and Leaf Spot. The method used is Convolutional Neural Network (CNN). The accuracy achieved from the training data is 88%, while the validation data accuracy is 82%. After conducting ten trials for each category, good accuracy was obtained. The Healthy category achieved 100% accuracy, Whitefly 70%, Yellowish 80%, and Leaf Spot 90%

Abstract

Smart dustbin is an application of IoT in the field of hygiene to increase efficiency in sorting wet and dry waste automatically, using gas sensors and buzzer speakers as a warning if smoke is detected which indicates a fire. Serial communication between Arduino Uno and NodeMCU esp8266 connects the system to a Wifi connection where data will then be sent to the blynk application to control the height level of waste in the waste container. Based on the trials that have been carried out, the results of the wet and dry waste sorting trials reached 90%, for the gas sensor and buzzer smoke detector trials went well with 100% results. controlling the trash height level from the blynk application, the percentage of trash height level goes up and down.

Abstract

This study explores the application of the Laravel Framework in developing an Online Quality Assurance Information System at Muhammadiyah/'Aisyiyah Universities (PTMA). According to the Indonesian Law No. 12 of 2012, Higher Education encompasses educational programs beyond secondary education and has three main functions: education, research, and community service. PTMA adds a special function, Al-Islam and Kemuhammadiyahan, making its functions fourfold (caturdharma). The Quality Assurance System (SPM) at PTMA is governed by the Internal Quality Assurance System (SPMI) and External Quality Assurance System (SPME). Laravel, with its Model-View-Controller (MVC) architecture, offers an efficient solution for developing a system that meets PTMA's specific needs. This study aims to assess the advantages of Laravel in enhancing the quality and effectiveness of quality management at PTMA, with the expectation of providing valuable insights for improving higher education quality and achieving the established quality standards.

Abstract

Waste is a persistent issue in Indonesia and worldwide, with increasing waste volumes driven by population growth and consumption. One effective solution is waste sorting, but public awareness and limited infrastructure remain significant challenges. This study explores the use of image processing technology based on Deep Learning, specifically Convolutional Neural Networks (CNN), for automated waste sorting. The data consists of 3300 waste images categorized into six classes: cardboard, glass, metal, paper, plastic, and organic. The study focuses on the use of the DenseNet169 architecture to determine the model's effectiveness in classifying types of waste. Based on previous research, the DenseNet169 architecture has shown advantages in terms of computation and accuracy. The results of this study indicate that DenseNet169 achieves a classification accuracy of 92% for waste, with an F1 Score of 0.92 or 92% in both macro and weighted average metrics.

Abstract

The Community-Based Drinking Water and Sanitation Provision Program (PAMSIMAS) is a government initiative that focuses on a community approach in providing clean water and sanitation. One of the institutions involved, the Drinking Water and Sanitation Facilities Management Group (KP SPAM), is responsible for the management and maintenance of clean water supplies at the village level. However, KP SPAM faces problems in recording and processing monthly payment data because of the manual system used. This research aims to develop a web-based clean water bill payment information system using PHP and MySQL. The waterfall method is applied in system development, with Blackbox Testing to ensure the software functions as required. This system is expected to increase operational efficiency and reduce the risk of errors and delays in processing monthly bills. This web-based clean water bill payment information system has been successfully implemented.

Abstract

Gold is a precious metal with a high demand from the public. High demand causes the price of gold to fluctuate and be uncertain, so predictions are needed to know the state of the market price. This research will focus on forecasting the price of Indonesian gold through the ARIMA (Autoregressive Integrated Moving Average) approach. This study uses Indonesian gold price data in the form of time series from January 2014 to December 2023 with 3652 data. The smallest AIC value, 71827.3, makes ARIMA (0,1,2) the best model. The best scenario was found with testing data of 15% with MAE of 6990.226, RMSE of 8272.612, and MAPE of 0.62%. The prediction results show that gold prices are constantly increasing, with the highest price on the 31st day reaching Rp1,138,078.

Abstract

Teknologi informasi telah banyak diterapkan di berbagai perusahaan, salah satunya PT XYZ yang telah menerapkan sistem informasi penjualan atau BEI sebagai otomatisasi proses bisnis perusahaan. Namun pada praktiknya manajemen risiko sistem informasi BEI belum diterapkan dengan baik, masih terdapat kendala dan insiden pengelolaan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis manajemen risiko sistem informasi ISX dengan menggunakan framework FMEA (Failure Mode Effects and Analysis). FMEA dapat mengidentifikasi risiko berdasarkan tingkat keparahan suatu kejadian, seberapa sering kejadian tersebut terjadi, dan seberapa tinggi tingkat deteksinya. Dari variabel-variabel tersebut akan dihasilkan Risk Priority Number (RPN) yang dapat menentukan prioritas risiko atau permasalahan yang paling kritis. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa sistem ISX mempunyai 2 risiko dengan tingkat sangat tinggi, 1 risiko dengan tingkat tinggi, 1 risiko dengan tingkat menengah, 21 risiko dengan tingkat rendah, dan 5 risiko dengan tingkat sangat rendah. Risiko yang berada pada tingkat yang sangat tinggi dan tinggi merupakan risiko yang diprioritaskan dan perlu mendapatkan tindakan dan pengendalian risiko.

Abstract

The performance appraisal for salary increases at Toko Maestro Parfum is still done manually, leading to employee dissatisfaction due to lack of objectivity and fairness in the evaluation process. Simple Additive Weighting (SAW) is a suitable approach for this purpose, as it identifies the optimal option among several choices based on assigned weights from the performance assessments of each option. This method is chosen for its ability to select the best option according to predefined criteria. Black Box testing of this system indicates its alignment with the requirements for evaluating employee performance. Test results indicate that 6 out of 10 employees, or 60%, are eligible for a salary increase. Therefore, the implementation of this system is expected to effectively and efficiently improve the salary appraisal process at Toko Maestro Parfum.
