Abstract

The lontar manuscript is one of the cultural heritages that must be preserved. The lontar manuscript contains many valuable things but is considered no longer exciting and challenging to learn. The study aims to develop a handwritten Balinese script transliteration system from digitizing lontar manuscripts. The peculiarity of this research is the use of research objects and the combination of algorithms used in transliteration. The method used is machine learning with SVM and CNN classification algorithms. 1001 Balinese script images in lontar manuscripts were used as training data. Using the CNN algorithm, an accuracy of 86.42% is obtained, and an accuracy of 82.32% obtains in the SVM algorithm. The model testing was carried out with 18 digitized script images from printed books and obtained an accuracy of 23.53% using the SVM algorithm. The low accuracy value of the testing data is thought to be due to the different shape of the handwritten script imagery with the training data used. This research opens opportunities to be developed by adding training data from various forms of images from different sources. This study also shows that machine learning approaches with SVM and CNN algorithms can potentially be used in developing Balinese script image transliteration systems.

Abstract

There have been many emerging approaches to software development in terms of architecture lately. One of them is the microservices architecture. The microservices architecture is often compared to the classic monolithic software architecture. Many organizations are starting to implement microservices architectures. However, deciding to implement a microservices architecture into software development is not easy. Many considerations must be taken into account when choosing a software architecture. In this study, the two architectures, namely monolithic and microservices, were compared to the development of the NekoToko POS system. The web services of the system were developed using these two architectures and tested for their performance through load testing. Tests were carried out with three different scenarios; monolithic uses Linux hosts, monolithic uses Docker, and microservices uses Docker. Parameters observed are CPU usage, memory usage, response time, and throughput. From the results of load testing using Locust with 100 users, the response time and throughput of the monolithic architecture are 421 milliseconds and 230.5 rps. While in the microservices architecture, the response time and throughput are 415 milliseconds and 233.8 rps. CPU and memory usage in microservices architecture (scenario 3) is on average 22% and 1,135 MB is greater than CPU usage in monolithic architecture (scenario 1). Therefore, the monolithic architecture was chosen for the NekoToko POS system because with smaller resources it can provide the same performance as microservices that use larger resources.

Abstract

Along with the latest technological disruption, changes in stakeholder behavior towards digital and the Covid-19 pandemic have directed various organizations to accelerate digital transformation (DT). However, there have been many failures in DT investments, which are thought to be due to a lack of governance. Previous research has identified the effect of traditional and agile/adaptive ITG on the success of TD in the private sector. Therefore, testing the model of the influence of ITG on DT and organizational performance (OP) in the public sector was conducted. This study took a case study of DT ministry A which has received many DT awards. The survey was conducted by distributing e-questionnaires to 50 respondents, then analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling. The results showed that traditional and agile/adaptive TKTI mechanisms had a positive and significant effect on BP and TD on KO. This research contributes to the knowledge base and becomes a reference for implementing the hybrid TKTI mechanism for TD and KO in the public sector.

Abstract

The selection of outstanding lecturers in an Information Systems study program at XYZ University is currently still done conventionally. That is, it is still subjective and has not used special calculation methods to support decisions. Thus, it is necessary to have an appropriate decision support system to assist in determining outstanding lecturers objectively. The method used in this research is the analytical hierarchy process (AHP) and simple additive weighting (SAW). From the calculation of the two methods, the final result is a decision to select an outstanding lecturer in the same Information Systems study program, namely Mr. Argiyan Dwi Pritama. The results obtained from the AHP calculation yield a value of 1.46 while the SAW calculation produces a value of 0.522. From the AHP calculation, it can be concluded that the use of too many alternatives makes the ranking process too complex. Meanwhile, based on the SAW calculation, the technical calculation is very suitable for many alternatives, so it is more effective and efficient to use.

Abstract

SD Negeri 3 Tugu uses the 2013 curriculum, which is an integrative thematic learning method, a scientific approach, and an authentic assessment. The method used is lecture, discussion, experiment, question and answer, skills, problem-solving, and assignments. Teachers at SD Negeri 3 Tugu use blackboards, notebooks, and textbooks as the media. Based on the results of interviews with fifth-grade students and teachers, it was stated that some students had difficulty understanding the mathematics material presented by the teacher in class. The number of formulas that must be understood by students, difficulties when doing assignments/Homework (PR) given by the teacher. This resulted in students getting poor grades in mathematics courses. The purpose of the research is to create an Android-based learning media application for grade V elementary school mathematics as an independent learning medium and help increase student interest in learning. The research uses the extreme programming method which includes the design stage to model the system from the application of mathematics learning media, the coding stage, namely the implementation of the system design using Microsoft Visual Studio software, and the testing stage using a questionnaire and involving material experts with an average of 84.28%, media experts as much as 91.42%, and student respondents as much as 84.28%. The results of the study indicate that the average respondent strongly agrees that the application is suitable for use as an Android mobile-based mathematics learning media.

Abstract

The increasingly widespread use of social media has led to the formation of a forum that can be used by the public to express opinions in various forms, one of which is the use of Twitter. One of the issues that is currently being discussed is related to public opinion re-garding the Blocking of Communications and Informatics that arose as a result of the gov-ernment blocking applications that had not been registered with the Indonesian Communi-cations and Information Technology's Electronic System Operator (PSE), which was a trending topic on various social media platforms, one of which was Twitter. This study aims to analyze the various comments on Twitter given by the public. Collecting data from this study uses several approaches, one of which is taking data from keywords and hashtags with a certain amount of data that can be classified, then after the data is collect-ed it will go through a data processing process using the text mining method. Support Vec-tor Machine (SVM) Algorithm. This research will obtain a system that can classify positive and negative comments.

Abstract

In the new normal era that has been set by the government, all educational institutions also impose face-to-face meetings or offline schools for their students. The existence of an offline school that is applied, of course, causes various events that are often experienced by children. This condition requires parents and teachers, especially Guidance Counseling (BK) teachers to be wise in making decisions, so that children do not experience behavioral disorders that will greatly affect their mental condition. This study aims to help schools and parents to make the right decisions according to the problems experienced by children. Solutions are provided through a case-based system, on the recommendation of the counselor. The research stages consist of (1) Literature Review (2) Modeling, (3) Model Evaluation, and (4) Prototype Development. This study resulted in a case-based system for junior high school youth counseling that could be used by junior high school teachers and parents, or those in need. System testing by users produces solutions for validation from counselors that are in accordance with reality, and can be used as a reference for solving problems in children in the new normal era.

Abstract

Security and public order issues are not the responsibility of the government and the police department only, but also the community. The low level of awareness of the urban/sub-urban community in the community security and order (CSO) program is caused by the community's fast-paced lifestyle, focusing on work, and often leaving their houses for a long-term period. An alternative solution that can be offered is to create an application related to the program in the village level. This application, besides being able to support CSO and involve all residents, can also increase mutual trust, communication, and social relations between them. The result is a Smart Warning Application that combines integrated security and order control functions. This application was created to help residents within the village and includes ten functions that are commonly used to provide information to each other in the surrounding area. Government officials can monitor and access the application through the website provided. The existing information will be inventoried and stored so that at the end, it can be used as a reference for making plans to improve public security and order in the future. Abstract

Keeping attendance is an activity that must done by employees. Attendance is usually collected by using selfie photos, yet this method still can be manipulated by the employees by sticking their selfie photos at work to make it look like they come to work. An alternative to overcome the issue is by involving the employee’s hand gestures. The employee’s attendance is recorded once his/her face is detected, and he/she makes hand gestures following the previously registered codes. The hand gestures indicate that there are humans onsite. The system was built using the prototype method, using Haar Cascade and Local Binary Pattern Histogram to detect faces and hand gestures. The results showed that the system can recognize faces according to its user ID and can detect finger codes based on the hand gestures. The recapitulation of arrival and departure hours from work is stored in the .xls. extension file

Abstract

Indonesia is one of the countries with the largest manufacturing industry in ASEAN, related to the Making Indonesia 4.0 program, which is a government program to prepare for the era of the digital sector and smart factory, therefore innovation and sustainable development are needed in terms of technology , in the manufacturing industry, one of which is the automotive industry. . Factors that determine the success of the manufacturing industry and its components include being able to reduce the number of reject products in the production process. The purpose of this research is to design an architectural design of a defective product inspection system based on Internet of thingss technology , which allows the quality control department to obtain more objective data in a fast time and make decisions based on analytical data, the research methodology is observation and literature study. , the result of the research is the blueprint architect of the defective product inspection system in the automotive component industry with an Archimate modeling language, which shows that IoT technology can be designed to prevent company losses caused by rejected products and improve the quality of domestic automotive industry products
