Abstract

Prisoners with mental illness are more likely to engage in institutional violence and rule violations, especially those with psychotic or depressive symptoms. Mental health screening is an important way to identify Serious Mental Illness (SMI) of newly admitted prisoners. However, in Indonesia, health screening only focuses on physical examination, so mental health screening is overlooked. This research aims to conduct a factor analysis of the BJMHS in Indonesian version for male prisoners in Indonesia. The method used in this research is quantitative with a cross cultural adaptation approach which also displays elements of validity and reliability testing and confirmatory factor analysis (CFA). The sample collection method was purposive sampling with a characteristic, prisoners whose ages were between 18-60 years at Lapas Kelas IIB Kayuagung. This research obtained good content validity (I-CVI 1.0 and S-CVI 1.0), and satisfactory internal consistency reliability (KR20 0.771 and KR21 0.73). A good preliminary analysis (KMO 0.780 and Bartlett's Test of Sphericity p < 0.001). The coefficient of determination is above 0.3 with the goodness-of-fit value meeting the requirements (chi-square P-value = 0.001, GFI = 0.836, RMSEA = 0.072, and CFI = 0.752). The standardized estimate value both overall and for each variable is very good (0.11-0.22). The factor loading results are very good (P-value < 0.001), followed by the residual covariance results showing that each indicator variable has a relatively good matching relationship except for the PS1 and PS2 indicator variables. The Indonesian version of the Brief Jail Mental Health Screen is considered quite promising to measure the serious mental health experienced by male prisoners, but this requires further research involving more research samples in various correctional institutions and prisons in Indonesia.

Abstract

The use of smartphones is very beneficial for students to learn new things and share information, but they are also unaware of the impact that the situation can have. The impact of phubbing is very important to understand because it can interfere with relationships with family, friends, and even romantic relationships. Phone snubbing or abbreviated as phubbing is a situation where a person ignores the people around him because his attention is more focused on the smartphone he is holding, which makes them not care about what is happening around them. If this behavior of phubbing is allowed, social relations between individuals will decrease because it can interfere with the individual's ability to be present and involved with people. This research aims to describe and gain an understanding of phubbing and social relations in the lives of Sriwijaya University students towards their parents and friends in the city of Palembang. Using the theory of symbolic interactionism by Mead. The research method used is the descriptive qualitative research method. Retrieval of informants using purposive techniques. Data collection techniques are carried out by observation, interviews, and documentation. So that it can cause a decrease in the quality of communication and student relationships with their parents and friends.

Abstract

This study aims to find out how mechanical and organic solidarity mobilize Sialang honey production activities and also understand the strengths and weaknesses of mechanical and organic solidarity in the production activities of Sialang honey. This study uses a qualitative approach with descriptive methods. The results showed mechanical solidarity in the production activities of Sialang honey, as seen in the honey harvest process, where all honey farmers still have very close family ties and the trust of the farmers in customary norms is still very strong. If there is a conflict, then the principal will not produce honey again. Farmers avoid all types of conflicts, and if there is a conflict over honey, farmers will also take family paths in resolving the conflict so that basic sustainability is maintained. However, mechanical solidarity alone is not enough to market honey, so assistance is needed from other parties, namely the intervention of CSR PT RAPP in providing training and assistance in the processing, sales, and marketing of honey so that organic solidarity is formed. The strength of organic solidarity in Sialang honey production activities includes: Penetration of the Sialang Honey Sales Market, Starting from Pangkalan Kerinci, Pekanbaru, to Jakarta Sialang honey, which was previously not sold by honey farmers, has now been sold both offline and online. The use of technology to reduce water content so that honey becomes thicker attracts people to buy honey, and people believe in the quality of honey. The existence of the brand itself under the name of honey foresbi," which distinguishes Sialang honey from other honey.
