<![CDATA[Framing analysis in this study is used to find out how the reality (events, actors, groups andso forth) is constructed by the media. In what ways and techniques are the events emphasized andhighlighted. Whether in the news there are parts that are omitted, escaped or even hidden in the news.All of these elements are not only part of the technical journalism, but indicate how events areinterpreted and displayed. This study aims to find out how online media Java post and kompasianaframe news about post closing localization dolly surabaya. Subjects in this study were Java onlinemedium post on May 15, 2014 and kompasiana on June 26, 2014 closing dolly Surabaya localization.The research method used in this research is qualitative with technical framing analysis. The unit ofanalysis used in this study is the reference unit. <![CDATA[Jeje Radio has some fresh and hits programs, one of them is a Marathon Hits Night which isbroadcasted from 19.00 – 23.00 pm. The concept of this program certainly brings the broadcaster tobe a high credibility person. In this study were selected 3 Marathon Hits Malam programbroadcasters in Jeje Radio Surabaya, among other Deli Aldiano, Imah Cinara, and Widi Ariyani. Theresults of this analysis show that Widi Ariyani is the broadcaster meets criteria for Derived andTerminal Credibility. She has most credible in term of experience, education, and attitude. While,Imah Cinara is the broadcaster who goes into all categories credibility but she is not really measureenough. Apart from that, the listeners have the Latitude of Acceptance because they have a flexibleassessment against the broadcast pattern Ima Cinara. The potential of each broadcaster will increaseby company support. <![CDATA[Television became a media that hit the hearts of people and still the media with the most audience.Excess television is audiovisual. This means that television can combine sound and moving imagesthat can attract the attention of the audience. The lack of television lies in the nature of the transistorso that it is only momentary or fleeting. This study aims to analyze the point of view of both journalistsTV One and Kompas TV in framing the news case Salim Kancil. So that can be seen from theperspective of each journalist and media decisions in reporting information coverage. Framinganalysis is done with Pan and Kosicki analysis model with a qualitative approach. <![CDATA[This research is motivated by the development of photography as a medium of visualcommunication to create an image as well as provide and deliver a message. One photographerIndonesia, Rio photographed create photographic works of folklore Indonesian theme with the title"Once upon a time". He tried to revive the appeal of folklore with a different delivery. This studyaimed to describe the meaning of photos contained in an image photographed Rio theme Alkisahwork. This study focused on five object Once among others Nyi Roro Kidul, Jonggrang, Pitung, MalinKundang, Kasarung. The theory used is the theory of Roland Barthes Semiotics which consists of twostages marking the denotation stage as the first stage and second stage stage connotation as inmeaning. The method used research methods used in this research is qualitative and descriptive. Datacollection techniques with in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation. <![CDATA[The development of information is currently very rapid with the internet. Mass media such asnewspapers have now done a lot of rebranding to online media or websites. Just like what has beendone by jawapos newspaper which now has an online newspaper or commonly called with onlinemedia. In jawapos there is a zetizen rubric that used to be called detection. Zetizen discusses youngpeople one of them contained romance articles. This study chose the romance article because it is oneof the articles favored by teenagers today. The formulation of the problem of this research is how theconcept of romance in the articles displayed on the website zetizen.com? This study aims to find theconcept of romance and describe the message content of the romance article on zetizen.com. Themethod used to reveal it is by content analysis, that is using an approach with framing analysis. Theresults showed that the concept of romance that carried by zetizen that is in the form of new thingsthat are popular among teenagers. <![CDATA[The problem in this research is about semiotic analysis on the use of kebaya dress in thetraditional ceremony of ruwatan village Jati Sumber District Trowulan, Mojokerto regency. Theruwatan traditional ceremony in the village of Jati Sumber is a ceremony of grateful expression of thecitizens who oblige to wear kebaya clothes, especially for women. This research uses Charles SanderPierce's semiotic theory to analyze the icon, index and symbol of the object under study. This researchuses qualitative approach (descriptive).. The meaning of this study shows that every element containedin the use of kebaya fashion in traditional ceremony ruwatan Jati Sumber village has the meaning ofsanctity for white kebaya and the meaning of eternal happiness for kebaya black. The conclusion ofthis research is the use of kebaya dress at ruwatan ceremony Jati Sumber is a form of nonverbalcommunication delivery. Simultaneously also implements the meaning and symbols of Javanesewomen's self-disclosure in maintaining the identity of Indonesian women, especially Javanese women.Namely as a form of cultural preservation of the use of kebaya clothes for traditions that have beenpassed down generations from generation to generation by the previous community to thedevelopment of modern society today.Keywords: Communication, Fashion Kebaya, ruwatan ceremony, Semiotics, Meaning]]>

<![CDATA[Among the programs shown by television stations, sporting events is a program that manyshown by private television stations. Fishing Mania one of them, an exercise program that aired onTrans 7. Fishing Mania is the only program in Indonesia which tells the good fishing activities at seaand in rivers. The activities of writer wanted to know how students' perceptions of SocialCommunication Sciences University August 17, 1945 Surabaya on Fishing Mania events in Trans 7.With the aim to describe the perception of students of Social Communication Sciences UniversityAugust 17, 1945 Surabaya on impressions and the credibility of the presenter after watching FishingMania Trans 7. This is a descriptive study with a quantitative approach, where researchers collectedprimary data that is distributing questionnaires to 40 respondents. The object of research is thestudents of Social Communication Sciences University August 17 1945 Surabaya force from 2013 to2016 who has ever watched the show Fishing Mania. From the results obtained in this study, 76% ofrespondents expressed positive about Fishing Mania. <![CDATA[This research is motivated by the development of the spread of symbols of satanism in the modern era that mushroomed in various mass media, especially video clips to give and deliver messages. One of the top bands named Dewa 19 has symbols associated with symbols of satanism and spread the symbol through the media video clips of the songs of God 19. The focus of this study is the meaning of video clip symbols scattered on each video clip kara band Dewa 19. The theory used is Charles Sanders Peirce Semiotics theory which has a triadic model and trichotomy concept consisting of Representamen, interpretant, and object. The research method used in this research is qualitative research with descriptive type. The results of the research found that the meaning of the symbols scattered in each of the video clips of the band Dewa 19 is the result of the symbolic representation of satanism, among others: Horus's Eye, Pyramid Terpanchung, Chessboard Chess, Photo of Satan Church Founder, God Ra, ANKH SymbolKeywords: semiotics, satanism, Dewa 19, symbols.]]>
