PiJIES: PEDAGOGIK Journal of Islamic Elementary School is a peer-reviewed journal which is published by Prodi Pendidikan Guru Madrasah Ibtidaiyah IAIN Palopo. This Journal publishes manuscripts on research in Islamic education and elementary school. PiJIES features research novelties and significance for science advancement in any new development and advancement in the field of education. The scope of our journal includes child development, cognitive psychology, social science, math and natural education to school learning and teaching. This Journal publishes current original research studies that contain data about school and classroom processes in elementary or middle schools while occasionally publishing integrative research reviews and in-depth conceptual analyses of schooling.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the teacher's strategy in learning multiplication of student multiplication in class III C SD Negeri 19 / IV Jambi City. This research was conducted at the 19 / IV Public Elementary School in Jambi City in the even semester of the 2019/2020 school year. This research was a phenomenological research with a qualitative approach. The qualitative approach in this study uses interview and documentation instruments using the Miles and Huberman technique. Data analysis is performed by data reduction, data presentation, and data vertification and conclusions. The data obtained in the form of qualitative data that contains a description of the results of interviews with teachers about the teacher's strategy in learning the multiplication of students in class III C SD Negeri 19 / IV Jambi City. The results showed that the teacher used several learning strategies including learning strategies that were centered on the instructor, learning strategies that were centered on students, heuristic or kuriorstic learning strategies, induction learning strategies. Then the obstacle encountered by the teacher is related to multiplication counting which is difficult to memorize multiplication, the child who has difficulty counting multiplication, the teacher will order the child to repeat his memorization again.

Abstract

The current study aimed to find a portrayal of learning activities held by teachers using a peer lesson strategy in grade VI students at SDN 02 Lebong Sakti. This study used a qualitative approach, and the teachers at the aforesaid school were involved as the key informants. The data were collected using virtual interviews because this study took place in the period of co-19 pandemic. This study concluded that: The application of peer lesson method conducted by teachers, especially Islamic education teachers, not only gave a new color to students so that they could engage in learning, but also could have a positive impact on the formation of students’ behavior, such as: having independence in learning, getting increases in curiosity and the courage to raise opinions in front of the class in a polite manner, experiencing high enthusiasm, and building up mutual respect for fellow students.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to describe acts of discrimination that occur between regular students and students with special needs in inclusive schools. This type of research is qualitative research with a case study approach. The subjects in this study were students with special needs in grade IV with the initials AN who had been diagnosed with cerebral palsy. The study was conducted at Giwangan Public Elementary School in Yogyakarta. Data collection techniques used in this study were interviews, observation, and documentation. The results showed that the forms of discrimination between regular students and students with special needs with cerebral palsy disorders in inclusive schools were ridicule, rejection, and physical contact. As a result, students with special needs withdraw from the social environment at school. Inclusive schools as child-friendly schools can certainly eliminate discriminatory attitudes in schools. The existence of acts of discrimination that still occur in inclusive schools means that schools have not been able to accommodate all students.

Abstract

This research has the aim of knowing the form of prosocial behavior of students and the factors that influence the prosocial behavior of elementary school students. This research uses a qualitative approach with case study methods. Participants or objects of this study are grade IV students and teachers (class guardians). Data collection techniques use observation, interviews, and documentation. Analyze the data in this study with data reduction, data presentation, and conclude. The validity of the data in this study uses triangulation. The results of this study show that the prosocial behavior that appears in class IV students in elementary school includes honesty, helping, sharing, generosity, and cooperating. The form of prosocial behavior in each student differs from factors such as 1) the stage of child development which includes physical skills, knowledge insights (cognitive), emotional and moral social 2) learning strategies used by teachers such as guidance and motivation, giving direct commands, providing examples of prosocial behavior in each school activity, through fairy tales or reading stories, songs or videos, and role-playing activities, and 3) environmental factors include the family environment, peer interaction, education system, and school culture.

Abstract

This research is a type of research and development aimed at determining the feasibility and effectiveness of Indonesian language teaching materials to improve the language skills of elementary school students. The development of Indonesian teaching materials uses the ADDIE model development procedure. The development procedure used in this study includes 5 steps, namely: 1) Analysis; 2) Development or Production (Development); 3) Implementation or Delivery; (Application) 4) Evaluation (Assessment). The product developed is Indonesian language teaching materials to improve the language skills of elementary school students. The data collection instrument was in the form of an assessment sheet for material experts and Indonesian language teachers. The method used to analyze the data is descriptive qualitative which is expressed in the distribution of scores and categories of the rating scale. This development research produces Indonesian language teaching materials in the form of books, which meet the aspects of content, presentation, language and appearance with an average of 3.57 with a percentage of 71.3% in stage 1, namely in the good category, while in stage 2 the average score is 3. .9 with a percentage of 84.3% which is a very good category so it can be said that the criteria are valid and feasible to use. On the assessment sheet the Indonesian teacher got an average score of 4.28 in the very good category. For language skills, the listening aspect of elementary school students got an average score of 7.25%. In the aspect of speaking language skills, namely speaking based on pictures and getting an average score of 76% and the reading language skill aspect, the accuracy range is 80 and the essay writing skill aspect gets a score of 78%.
