Abstract

This study aims to determine the application of the Problem Based Learning-Audio Visual approach in improving science skills. The research method used is quantitative. The type of research used is a quasi-experimental design with a nonequivalent control group design. The sample in this study was fourth-grade students in one of the elementary schools in Maros Regency, amounting to 44 people. Data collection techniques used tests to determine students' science problem-solving abilities. The data collected were analyzed quantitatively using descriptive statistics and inferential statistics. The results of descriptive statistical data analysis showed that the average value of the scientific problem-solving ability of the experimental class was 88.26, and the control class was 72.38. At the same time, the results of inferential statistical data analysis showed the value of sig. On problem solving ability less than 0.05 with a t value of 10.228 greater than t table 1.681. This means that there is an increase in the ability to solve science problems through applying the Problem Based Learning-Audio Visual approach.

Abstract

Learning Islamic religious education can not be separated from the results of learning or assessment. The assessment of Islamic religious education subjects did not describe students' attitudes. This study aims to assess attitudes toward Islamic religious education in elementary schools. This study used the descriptive qualitative method. Sources of data obtained from primary data and secondary data. Primary data are from 19th-grade and 5th-grade students.Meanwhile, secondary data includes principals, teachers, parents, and classmates. Data collection techniques used are observation, interviews, and documentation. The collected data will be processed using inductive qualitative analysis through data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing or verification. The study results reveal that Islamic religious education is less successful because parents still view that schools only carry out the task of educating children. Parental attention to children is only in the form of fulfilling material needs such as clothing, food, and board needs. At the same time, the problem of moral formation and development is left entirely to the school. In addition, because it underestimates the existence of Islamic religious education lessons, it is a lesson that is not too important and easy to learn without having to think.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the impact of a realistic mathematics approach on the mathematical problem-solving abilities of elementary school students. It employed a quantitative research method with a non-equivalent control group design. The study's participants were fifth-grade students from various schools in Tanete Rilau District, Barru Regency. The sample was selected using simple random sampling. Data collection involved a mathematics problem-solving ability test. The analysis included descriptive and inferential techniques. Descriptive analysis revealed that students in the experimental class, taught using a realistic mathematics approach, demonstrated significantly better problem-solving skills compared to those in the control class. The average posttest score in the experimental class was 61.85, whereas it was 46.40 in the control class. Inferential analysis, including independent sample t-test and Manova test, indicated that learning with a realistic mathematics approach had a significant effect, as evidenced by a sig value of 0.000, which is less than 0.05.

Abstract

This study aims to produce cursive writing skills learning textbook for lower-grade students in elementary school that is valid, practical, and effective. This type of research uses research and development with a borg and gall design. This study will focus on improving the cursive writing skills of lower-grade students in four elementary schools in the Karanganyar sub-district. Researchers collect data using observation techniques, interviews, questionnaires, and tests to determine the needs of teachers and students and determine the quality of the products that have been developed. The collected data were then analyzed using qualitative descriptive and statistical analysis techniques. The results of the statistical analysis were converted into qualitative values. The data on the cursive writing skills test results will go through N-gain, normality, and homogeneity. The results of this study indicate that the product developed gets a proper category based on the validation of experts and the responses of students and teachers. There is an increase in students' cursive writing skills after using soft writing learning textbooks.

Abstract

This study focuses on creating verse-based learning modules on the water cycle as mentioned in the Quran. The objectives include assessing the prototype of this module among fifth-grade students at SDN 50 Bulu Datu and evaluating its validity. Following the Research and Development approach, the study employs the ADDIE development model with analysis, design, and development stages. It was carried out at SDN 50 Bulu Datu in Palopo City, with 30 fifth-grade students as participants. Data collection methods encompassed observation, documentation, interviews, and validation processes. The findings indicate that the Water Cycle learning module, based on Qur'anic verses, underwent validation by three validators, incorporating revisions based on their feedback. The validity assessment revealed that the language aspect achieved 80% validity, while material validity reached 86%, signifying a high level of validity. Moreover, the design of the module attained a 90% validity rating, indicating strong validity in this area.
