Abstract

This paper explains the problem of the journey of Islamic law towards positive law in Indonesia in the perspective of legal politics Mahfud MD with the aim of actualizing Islamic law in the present in the Indonesian context. With a normative legal approach, analytical descriptive, this paper concludes that the actualization of Islamic legal politics in the thinking of Mahfud MD can be done through two approaches. The first is the cultural approach that massively Islamic law directly interacts with the culture and traditions that apply and develop in certain societies. Through acculturation of culture, Islamic law can adjust adaptation and dialogue with various social societies with a variety of traditions dynamically without losing theirauthenticity as humanitarian teachings. Both substantive approaches prioritize the spirit of Islamic universalism by not formalizing Islamic law positively both in law, local regulations and so on. Thus the actualization of Islamic law politics Mahfud MD is an offer to the formulation of Islamic law with the positivation of Islamic law in Indonesia through an elaborative approach combining cultural approaches and substantive approaches to real Indonesian law. Abstract

The Strategic Trade Policy of China in Sub-Saharan Africa Countries. In the past decade, Sub-Saharan Africa has been transformed into the 'rising continent'. The growth of the Sub-Saharan economy averages 6%. Some countries in Sub-Saharan are included in the most developed countries in the world. Economic growth, abundant natural resources, and a large population become the potential of Sub-Sahara to become a main trading partner for China as a global economic power. To enhance trade cooperation, China formed a Forum on China-Africa Cooperation (FOCAC). Through this forum, China offers a new development model, namely the Beijing consensus by prioritizing the principle of non-interference. This research aimes to find out the strategic trade policy of China to enhance economic benefits from multilateral cooperation. This research applies descriptive qualitative research method with the strategic trade policy as the research analytical framework. This research finds that China applies some of strategic trade policy in Sub Sahara Africa : sectoral targets, Special Economic Zones (SEZs), liberation of foreign investation, and export subsidies.Keywords: FOCAC Strategic Trade Policy (STP), Sub-Sahara Afrika

Abstract

This study aims to describe student participation in exercising suffrage in the 2019 presidential and vice presidential elections. The method used in this study is a qualitative method with the research subject being there are 30 students from Tadris Biology of IAIN Kudus. Sample selection technique with a purposive sampling The process of retrieving data and information is done through questionnaires, interviews and literature review. The results of the study were obtained by all respondents using their voting rights in the presidential and vice presidential elections. There are several factors that influence respondents in using their voting rights, namely political awareness, the influence of mass media and political discussion, and the influence of parents and society. As many as 29 people used their voting rights because of political awareness, that as citizens who were 17 years old they had the right to vote, and 25 people used their right to vote because they were influenced by mass media and political discussion. Whereas 11 are influenced by parents and society. Individuals who have political awareness then he will have an awareness of his position in a state of life. Political participation which is based on political awareness will encourage someone to use their right to vote rationally. While the media have an influence on political participation because the media are a means for disseminating political information or campaigns.

Abstract

Arti penting politik dalam sejarah Islam dilukiskan oleh Muh Kurdi Ali dalam bukunya  aqwaluna wa af’aluna  (teori dan praktek-praktek kita) bahwa kebutuhan umat dan bangsa akan politik sama dengan kebutuhan manusia akan air dan udara. Membahas politik, akan menjadi suatu hal yang menarik karena didalamnya menyangkut kekuasaan dan jabatan. Tulisan ini bertujuan membuka wawasan umat Islam tentang politik. Pada tulisan ini akan dipotret bagaimana praktek Rasulullah dalam memimpin umat Islam sebagai bentuk implementasi politik Islam. Hal ini kelihatan sekali terutama ketika beliau memimpin masyarakat di Madinah dengan mendirikan negara Islam, guna menguatkan kepemimpinan, dalam rangka merangkul semua golongan, Rasulullah membuat piagam madinah sebagai perwujudan dari perjanjian damai antara muslim dan non muslim. Disamping itu rasulullah menunjukkan keteladanan dan kewibawannya dengan adanya perjanjian hudaibiyah. Kata Kunci: Politik Islam, Rasulullah, Perjanjian

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role and position of individuals in an Islamic society based on al-Qur’an. This research is based on Charles Taylor's individualism theory of a separate person (The Disengaged Self). Interest related to selfhood according to him is an inseparable thing in a community to avoid taqlid, religious fanaticism, and blind nationalism and. Every individuals have to create a disengaged self and strong evaluator themselves.This study indicates that Islamic collectivity has often been distorted into practical collectivism which negates the role of individuals and constructs individuals into forced decisions. Finally, the actions of the community are not based on individual awareness in the community based on al-Qur’an. The freedom self-development will have an impact in buliding an strong Islamic community, and apart from blind fanaticism. Islam is a religion that uplifts human reason to be able to express as freely as possible, even in choosing state leaders.

Abstract

Arctic regions, on the northern pole of the earth, have attracted many countries with various interests. The United States, Russia and several Scandinavian countries, each have claims over its regions, which are known to have abundance natural resource. Besides its potential, Artic also become the most vulnerable area whom embrace the direct impact of global warming. Russia as a country with wide territorial borders directly to Arctic region, certainly has a big role in this region. But, Rusia’s relationship with several Western countries such as the US and Canada had not been in a good condition in 2015, since the Crimean crisis. Several psywar through mass media, even led Russian President Vladimir Putin decides to leave the G20 Annual Summit. Putin’s gesture somehow was seen as Russia implied response to the world related to the Crimea crisis which boldly stated that Russia was not afraid of the threat.  The instability of Russia's relations with its neighboring countries which incidentally also borders the Arctic region opens the role of other countries to participate in this region, including China. This articles focused on describing out the China Strategic Policy in the Arctic region by identifying its national interests, and what policies China has taken to achieve its goals. The concept of securitization developed by Barry Buzan and Ole Waever is used as an analytical tool to identify China's strategic role in the Arctic region          Keywords: China, securitization, national interest , Artic Region

Abstract

Democracy in Indonesia has developed rapidly after the reformation, this is evidenced by the improvement in the implementation of the democratic party event. The 2019 election is an election held simultaneously between legislative elections and the presidential election. Each party and party coalition presidential election support hand in hand to try to win the hearts of the people. Community participation is very important for the determination of the votes of both the legislature and the president. Each stakeholder seeks to influence the community by using mobilization efforts. Many of the mobilization strategies in this election were carried out by many parties. This study examines the strategy of political mobilization used in gaining votes in 2019 elections in Indonesia. Qualitative research methods are used to obtain results from research. The results of the study indicate that the strategy of political mobilization in the 2019 Election uses four strategies, namely: political identity, communication media, money politics, and the use of public figures. This strategy is very effective in influencing the masses in Indonesia. This is evidenced by the polarization between the two supporting camps, and the use of communication media, especially social media in the dissemination of information.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pola kepemimpinan kyai politikus dalam meningkatkan kecerdasan emosional  santri, dan ingin mengetahui realitas pola kepemimpinan kyai politikus dalam meningkatkan kecerdasan emosional  santri di pondok pesantren Nurul Ulum Pemalang. Penelitan ini menggunakan penelitian kualitatif natualistik. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa (1) Sebagai seorang pemimpin pondok pesantren dan sekaligus sebagai tokoh politikus, maka Kyai harus memahami betul siapakah dirinya, bagaimana melaksanakan peran, tugas dan tanggung jawabnya dengan baik, serta memenuhi berbagai kriteria yang menunjukkan kharismanya sebagai seorang pemimpin. Hal ini di tandai dengan ciri Kyai yang bersifat transformasional, responsif dan edukatif yang nantinya akan menjadi tonggak awal bagi terciptanya Emotional Spiritual Quotient (kecerdasan emosional) yang akhirnya bermuara pada pada asas amar ma'ruf nahi munkar dan Li-iqomatuddin. (2) secara umum realisasi dari pola kepemimpinan Kyai politikus dalam meningkatkan kecerdasan emosional  santri di Pondok Pesantren Darussalam Desa Tambak Selo Kecamatan Wirosari Kabupaten Grobogan dapat di katatakan telah mencapai hasil yang baik

Abstract

The Transnational Movement of Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt and Palestine.The Muslim Brotherhood is a large transnational movement in the Middle East. Its influence is very strong in education, then extends to the fields of politics, economics, and culture. This research will map the position of the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt, trace geneology, and the concept of movement. In addition, it also analyzes the influence of the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt and its influence on the social and political changes of Palestine. This will be explained using a descriptive analysis approach. This study concluded that the policies of the ruling leaders in Egypt experienced changes and ups and downs, especially in pre and post-revolution. This is related to its interaction with the Muslim Brotherhood. The struggle of the Muslim Brotherhood with the Egyptian government is often colored by conspiracies, oppression, which are then greeted with demonstrations and competition for power.

Abstract

Indonesia Trade Diplomacy in the Textile Product Global Value Chains to the Middle East Market. Textile and textile products are important commodities for all developing countries, including Indonesia. Despite of those significance, developing countries have to deal with the challenge of the global context. The crisis in developed countries previousely were major textile export destination add the challege. This paper aims to find out Indonesia’s strategy to maintain its textile industry as its major potential commodity. In doing so, this research focuses on the strategy of trade diplomacy in the context of global value chains. Considering the decline trend of export to the developed countries, this research focus on the market of Middle East as the non-traditional market. This reseach applies descriptive qualitative reseach metodh with the concept of global value chains and trade diplomacy as the research analitical framework. This research finds that, in the context of GVC, Indonesia has the highly competitive barrier to entry suitable to penetrate Middle East market. It has production chains domestically, while marketing chains to the Middle East countries. Furthermore, in trade diplomacy, Indonesia implements the function of representation, negotiation, and advocacy.Keywords:                Textile products export, GVC, trade diplomacy, Middle East market
