Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kualitas kimia daging abalon beku H. asinina yang dicairkan dengan beberapa metode.  Penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan acak lengkap, dimana terdapat tiga perlakuan yaitu pencairan dengan melakukan perendaman pada air es (4oC), pencairan dengan melakukan perendaman pada air biasa (28oC), dan pencairan dengan menempatkan pada suhu ruang (30oC). Sebelum dilakukan pencairan sampel yang digunakan dibekukan pada suhu -20oC selama 3x24 jam. Parameter yang dianalisa antara lain, kadar protein, kadar lemak, kadar protein terlarut, kadar air, dan kadar TMA-N. Dari hasil penelitian ini diperoleh perlakuan pencairan dengan melakukan perendaman pada air biasa (28oC) memberikan kualitas kimia yang lebih baik dengan kadar protein 14,08%, lemak 5,43%, protein terlarut 4,09%, kadar TMA-N 6,71 mg/100 g, dan kadar air 78,40%. This research was conducted to investigate the chemical quality of frozen abalone (H. asinina) which thawed using different thawing methods.  A completely randomized experimental design (CRD) was used. It consisted of three treatments of thawing (A; immersion in cool water (4oC), B; immersion in water at ambient temperature (28oC), C; placement at room temperature (30oC)) and done in triplicates. The samples were frozen at a temperature of -20oC for 3x24 hours and they were packaged by air packaging method. The content of protein, fat, soluble protein, water,  and TMA-N were analyzed. The results showed that thawing by immersion in water at ambient temperature (28oC) gave the best chemical quality compared to two others thawing methods in this research.

Abstract

Pengembangan sektor perikanan   perlu diarahkan untuk dapat meningkatkan peran dalam menciptakan keterkaitan yang kuat dengan sektor yang lain baik keterkaitan ke depan maupun ke belakang melalui peningkatan nilai tambah, penyerapan tenaga kerja, dan pendapatan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui ; keterkaitan (linkage) sektor perikanan dengan sektor lain pada perekonomian Jawa Tengah. Metode  penelitian  menggunakan  studi  kasus  dan  dilanjutkan  dengan  analisis  deskriptif.  Data  yang dianalisis adalah  Tabel Input Output Transaksi Domestik atas Dasar  Harga Produsen  Klasifikasi  19Sektor Propinsi Jawa Tengah Tahun 2007, sebagai hasil pemuktahiran data (up dating). Analisis data dilakukan dengan menggunakan matematika ekonomi dan model input output yang dibantu dengan menggunakan program Excel, IOW dan GRIMP 7.1. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa analisis keterkaitan sektor perikanan ke belakang yang lebih besar daripada ke depan, hal ini menunjukkan bahwa sektor tersebut lebih mampu menarik sektor hulu, dibandingkan dengan sektor hilir atau lebih berorientasi memanfaatkan input dari sektor yang lain dari pada menyediakannya. Akan tetapi jika dibandingkan dengan sektor yang lain, nilai keterkaitan sektor perikanan baik kedepan maupun ke belakang masih rendah,  sehingga  akan  lebih  banyak  dipengaruhi  sektor  lain,  untuk  menyediakan  input  maupun penggunaan output. Kata Kunci : Keterkaitan, Perekonomian, Jawa Tengah

Abstract

Parasit yang sering menyerang ikan koi adalah Myxobolus sp. Ikan yang terinfeksi Myxobolus sp. akan mengalami gejala klinis berupa nodul kemerahan dan pembengkakan pada organ insang. Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian deltamethrin terhadap ekspresi CD4 pada ikan koi (Cyprinus carpio) yang terinfeksi Myxobolus sp. Pada penelitian ini dibagi menjadi 4 perlakuan (A) Kontrol, perlakuan (B) ikan koi terinfeksi Myxobolus sp., perlakuan (C) ikan koi terinfeksi Myxobolus sp. dengan pemberian deltamethrin dosis 0,5 µl/g dan perlakuan (D) ikan koi terinfeksi Myxobolus sp. dengan pemberian deltamethrin dosis 1 µl/g. Kemudian dilakukan pengamatan eritrosit, leukosit dan immunohistokimia untuk mengetahui ekspresi CD4 pada usus. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian didapatkan eritrosit pada perlakuan (A) sebesar 500.000 sel/mm3, (B) sebesar 1.850.000 sel/mm3, (C) sebesar 1.110.000 sel/mm3 dan (D) sebesar 1.670.000 sel/mm3. Hasil pengamatan leukosit perlakuan (A) didapatkan sebesar 121.600 sel/mm3, (B) sebesar 333.550 sel/mm3, (C) sebesar 265.770 sel/mm3 dan (D) sebesar 145.620 sel/mm3. Berdasarkan hasil Imunohistokimia  didapatkan hasil pada perlakuan (A) nilai DAB sebesar 15,0%, (B) DAB sebesar 30,2%, (C) DAB sebesar 24,3% dan (D) DAB sebesar 19,2 %. Dari penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa pemberian deltamethrin berpengaruh terhadap eritrosit dan leukosit serta dapat menurunkan ekspresi CD4 sebagai respon imun pada ikan koi (Cyprinus carpio) yang terinfeksi Myxobolus sp. Parasites that often attack koi are Myxobolus sp. Fish infected with Myxobolus sp. will experience clinical symptoms of red nodules and swelling in the gill organs. The study aimed to determine the effect of deltamethrin administration on CD4 expression in koi fish (Cyprinus carpio) infected with Myxobolus sp. In this study divided into 4 treatments (A) Control, treatment (B) koi fish infected with Myxobolus sp., Treatment (C) koi fish infected with Myxobolus sp. by treatment a dose of 0.5 µl / g deltamethrin and treatment (D) koi fish infected with Myxobolus sp. with the treatment of 1 µl / g of deltamethrin. Then erythrocytes, leukocytes and immunohistochemistry were observed to determine CD4 expression in the intestine. Based on the results of the study obtained erythrocytes in treatment (A) of 500,000 cells / mm3, (B) of 1,850,000 cells / mm3, (C) of 1,110,000 cells / mm3 and (D) of 1,670,000 cells / mm3. Observation of leukocyte treatment (A) was obtained at 121,600 cells / mm3, (B) of 333,550 cells / mm3, (C) of 265,770 cells / mm3 and (D) of 145,620 cells / mm3. Based on the results of immunohistochemistry the results obtained in treatment (A) DAB value of 15.0%, (B) DAB of 30.2%, (C) DAB of 24.3% and (D) DAB of 19.2%. From this study it can be concluded that the administration of deltamethrin affects erythrocytes and leukocytes and can reduce CD4 expression as an immune response in koi fish (Cyprinus carpio) infected with Myxobolus sp.

Abstract

 Bottom set long line and Boat seine are the divece which more used by fisherman at Juwana - Pati. This research is used for learn and comparison of productivity rate and many factors and profit rate rate of catch applied of Bottom set long line and Boat seine in Juwana - Pati. This research is used descriptive method. The output of this research is the productivity average per unit of Bottom set long line is 39,09 ton/unit/trip. Productivity per ABK is 0,89 ton/people/trip and the productivity average per trip is 12,27 ton/trip. The productivity average of boat seine is 260,10 ton/unit/trip. Productivity per ABK is 0,92 ton/people/trip and productivity average per trip is 12,60 ton/trip. Abstract

ABSTRAK   Betahwalang merupakan wilayah pesisir dengan mayoritas penduduk yang memanfaatkan sumberdaya rajungan. Oleh karena itu untuk menjaga kelestarian jenis kepiting rajungan diperlukan pengelolaan berkelanjutan dan konservasi, sehingga dibutuhkan informasi yang cukup tentang perkembangan produksi tangkapan nelayan dan ukuran rajungan. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pola pertumbuhan dan hubungan morfometrik rajungan, sex rasio, hubungan morfometrik terhadap fekunditas, serta tingkat kematangan dan indeks  kematangan gonad rajungan. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada bulan November 2014-Februari 2015 di Perairan Betahwalang, Demak. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode survey yang bersifat deskriptif. Ukuran sampel untuk pengamatan morfometri dan TKG rajungan betina diambil sebesar 10% dari total jumlah rajungan yang didaratkan (917 ekor rajungan jantan dan 1013 ekor rajungan betina dari total jumlah tangkapan sebesar kurang lebih 9170 ekor rajungan jantan dan 10.130 ekor rajungan betina). Sampel untuk pengamatan fekunditas dan IKG diambil sebesar 10% dari total jumlah rajungan betina yang tertangkap (102 ekor). Sampling dilakukan per minggu secara berurutan di Perairan Betahwalang dengan tujuan mendapatkan data yang berurutan dan berkesinambungan. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa pertumbuhan rajungan (Portunus pelagicus) memiliki nilai b sebesar 3,166, artinya pertumbuhan rajungan bersifat alometrik positif dengan sex rasio 1:1,1. Ukuran rajungan pertama kali tertangkap adalah 122 mm. Hasil analisa regresi menunjukkan bahwa fekunditas rajungan berbanding lurus dengan bertambahnya ukuran berat dan lebar karapas. Hasil pengamatan tingkat kematangan gonad selama bulan November 2014-Februari 2015 mengindikasikan telur rajungan berada pada kondisi ovigerous dan non-ovigerous dengan nilai indeks kematangan gonad yang cukup tinggi dan ukuran pertama kali matang gonad sebesar 136 mm.   Kata kunci : Aspek Biologi, Rajungan (Portunus pelagicus), Betahwalang   ABSTRACT Betahwalang village is a coastal region with a majority of the population utilizing blue swimmer crab resource. Therefore, to preserve the species of blue swimmer crabs sustainable management and conservation are required so that sufficient information about the development of the production of fishermen and crab size. The purpose of this study was to determine the pattern of growth and crab morphometric relationships, sex ratio, morphometric relationship to fecundity, as well as the level of maturity and blue swimmer crab gonad maturity index. This study was conducted in November 2014-February 2015 in the Betahwalang waters, Demak. The method used in this research is descriptive survey method. The sample size for morphometry and female crab TKG observation was taken by 10% of the total number of landed crab (917 male and 1013 female of the total catch of approximately 9170 male and 10 130 females). Samples for fecundity and IKG observation was taken by 10% of the total numbers of female crabs caught (102). Sampling was done weekly in a row in the Betahwalang waters with the purpose of obtaining data sequentially and continuously. The results showed that the growth of crab (Portunus pelagicus) has b value of 3.166, indicating that crabs’ growth is allometric positive with sex ratio of 1: 1.1. First caught crab size is 122 mm. Regression analysis showed that the crab fecundity is directly proportional to the increase in the size of the weight and width of the carapace. The observation of gonad maturity level during November 2014-February 2015 indicates crab eggs were in ovigerous and non-ovigerous condition with gonad maturation index value that was quite high and size of maturity is 136 mm.  Keywords : Aspects of Biology, blue swimmer crabs (Portunus pelagicus), Betahwalang

Abstract

Observations about kind of food in the Hypoatherina sp. side arrested in East Pelawangan Segara Anakan Cilacap. Food habits of observation methods conducted by the method according to the number of Effendie, (1997) 6). Based on the analysis of Hypoatherina sp. larvae food habits and analysis of plankton found in the study  showed  that the  stomach contents  of  larval  size  3,1-5,0  mm or at the beginning of taking food from other species in common with the abundant natural food in the waters, where the largest constituent Bacillariophyceae class. Along with its growth, there is a change in food habits 5,1-7,0 mm long dominated by the food standards Bacillariophyceae (27.5%) and Ciliophora (24.4%).  7,1-9,0  mm long  while  the  standard  changed  to  Bacillariophyceae  (19.4%)  and  Copepod (25.9%). 9,1-11,0 mm, and in turn again to the Copepod (39%) and Cyanophyta (34%). From this research can be concluded that the Hypoatherina sp. is a type of plankton-eating fish, both types of phyto and zooplankton.   Key words : Food habit, Fish larvae, Plankton

Abstract

 Ikan patin merupakan ikan air tawar yang mengandung lemak dan protein tinggi sehingga apabila dilakukan penyimpanan rentan terjadi oksidasi yang mengakibatkan ketengikan. Sargassum sp. dengan kandungan fenol dan flavonoid mampu menghambat terjadinya oksidasi pada fillet ikan patin. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh perbedaan ekstrak Sargassum sp. dan lama penyimpanan dalam menghambat terjadinya oksidasi pada fillet ikan patin. Materi yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah ekstrak Sargassum sp. dan fillet ikan patin. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah experimental laboratories dengan menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) faktorial dengan 2 faktor yaitu konsentrasi ekstrak Sargassum sp. (0%, 1%, 1,5% dan 2%) dan lama penyimpanan (hari ke-0, hari ke-2, hari ke-4, dan hari ke-6. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perbedaan penambahan konsentrasi ekstrak Sargassum sp. dan lama penyimpanan memberikan pengaruh nyata terhadap nilai PV, nilai TBA, kadar lemak, kadar protein, kadar air serta organoleptik (P<0,05). Hasil penelitian tahap I didapatkan rendemen Sargassum sp. dengan pelarut etanol 96% sebesar 1,39%, kandungan fenol 1,813%, flavonoid 0,278% dan aktivitas antioksidan dengan Ic 50 sebesar 99,1659 ppm (kuat). Hasil penelitian tahap II didapatkan nilai PV berkisar antara 2,03–19,82 meq/kg, nilai TBA 0,63–6,72 mg.mal/kg. Konsentrasi 1,5% merupakan konsentrasi terbaik ekstrak Sargassum sp. dalam menghambat oksidasi lemak pada fillet ikan patin selama penyimpanan.  Catfish is a freshwater fish that contain high fat and protein so that if its stored it will susceptible to oxidation process which leads to rancidity. Sargassum sp. with its phenolic and flavonoid content are able to inhibit the oxidation process in catfish fillet. This research was aimed to know the effects of different concentrations of Sargassum sp. extracts and storage time in inhibiting the oxidation process in catfish fillet. The materials used in this research were Sargassum sp. extracts and catfish fillet. This research was using experimental laboratories research method with factorial Completely Randomized Research Design (CRD) of 2 factors which were concentrations of Sargassum sp. extracts (0%, 1%, 1.5%, and 2%) and storage time (0 day, 2 days, 4 days, and 6 days). The results showed that the adding of different concentrations of Sargassum sp. extracts and storage time gave significant effect to the PV value, TBA value, fat content, protein content, moisture content, as well as organoleptic point (P < 0.05). The results obtained from stage I research were the yields of Sargassum sp. with ethanol 96% solvent was 1.39%, phenol content was 1.813%, flavonoid was 0.278%, and antioxidant activity was 99.1659 ppm (categorized as strong antioxidant). The results obtained from stage II research were the PV value were ranged from 2.03 to 19.82 meq/kg, TBA value were ranged from 0.63 to 6.72 mg.mal/kg. The 1.5% concentration was the best concentration of Sargassum sp. extracts in inhibiting the lipid oxidation of catfish fillet during storage.

Abstract

Seagrass bed on the shallow water area is a very important ecologically. It plays very important roles to the life of many kinds of fish, such as: as the nursery ground, feeding ground, spawning ground or just passing by. Of course, type and species of the fish itself will influence it. The growth of some individual and population highly related with the food existence in the area where they live. This research aimed to discover the food habit of pelagic fish, which caught in the seagrass area with different densities. The research was carried out for 2 months (July – August 2004). The research method that used was descriptive method, which had case study character. The sampling method to catch the fish was done using purposive sampling method . The determination of the research location was carried out with the mapping, which divided the seagrass area into 3 sampling stations based on its densities, which were high, medium and low density. The fish was caught using Gill net  with 0.5 inch in mesh size. Based on the food habit analysis of food proportion that was obtained in the fish gut, the phytoplankton from the cyanophyta class was largely found. It caused by the high abundance of phytoplankton form this class in the waters. Meanwhile, the zooplankton group that dominated the waters was from entomostraca class. Abstract

Kenyamanan dalam bekerja dipengaruhi oleh lingkungan kerja atau kondisi kerja dan faktor yang berkaitan dengan kerja tersebut. Kondisi kerja berkaitan dengan faktor seperti cahaya, suhu, asap, keamanan, kecelakaan, bising, debu, bau dan hal semacam itu yang mempengaruhi kinerja suatu pekerjaan atau kesejahteraan umum pekerja. Kecukupan akomodasi dan fasilitas nelayan di atas kapal merupakan salah satu upaya dalam keselamatan dan kesehatan kerja. International Labour Organization (ILO) memberikan pedoman terkait akomodasi nelayan di atas kapal. Unit penangkapan purse seine merupakan unit penangkapan ikan paling banyak menggunakan tenaga kerja berkisar 30 sampai 40 orang. Salah satu kapal purse seine yang digunakan sebagai objek penelitian adalah KM Berkah Melimpah berukuran 167 GT. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mengindentifikasi ketersediaan akomodasi KM Berkah Melimpah dan mengidentifikasi kesesuaian akomodasi berdasarkan pedoman Konvensi ILO Nomor 126 Tahun 1966 tentang Accommodation of Crews (Fishermen). Metode yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah semi kuantitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus. Pengamatan dan pengumpulan data yang diamati meliputi akomodasi apa saja yang ada di KM Berkah Melimpah serta kesesuaiannya terhadap pedoman ILO tentang Accommodation of Crews (Fishermen). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kecukupan akomodasi KM Berkah Melimpah pada aspek sistem pengatur suhu di ruang akomodasi terpenuhi sebesar 20%, aspek ventilasi terpenuhi sebesar 57.14%, aspek pencahayaan dalam ruang akomodasi terpenuhi sebesar 83.33%, aspek kamar tidur terpenuhi sebesar 35.42%, aspek sanitasi terpenuhi sebesar 0%, aspek ruang dapur terpenuhi sebesar 50%, dan aspek fasilitas kesehatan terpenuhi sebesar 0%. Secara keseluruhan kesesuaian akomodasi pada KM Berkah Melimpah sebesar 35.13% dikategorikan buruk. Working comfort is influenced by work environment or working conditions and factors related to the work. Working conditions relate to factors such as light, temperature, smoke, safety, accidents, noise, dust, odors and such things that affect a work performance or the general welfare of workers. Accommodation adequacy and fishing facilities on board is one of the efforts in occupational safety and health. The International Labour Organization (ILO) provides guidance regarding fishermen accommodation on board. The purse seine fishing unit is the fishing unit that using most labour in the range of 30 to 40 people. One of the purse seine vessels, KM Berkah Melimpah, was used as the object in this research. The purpose of this study was to identify the availability of KM Berkah Melimpah accommodation and to identify accommodation suitability based on ILO Convention No. 126 of 1966 on Accommodation of Crews (Fishermen). The semi-quantitative method with case study approach was applied in this study. Observations and data collection observed include any accommodation available in KM Berkah Melimpah and their compliance with the ILO guidelines on Accommodation of Crews (Fishermen). The results showed that adequacy of KM Berkah Melimpah accommodation on the temperature regulating system aspect in accommodation room fulfilled by 20%, ventilation aspect fulfilled by 57.14%, lighting aspect in accommodation room fulfilled by 83.33%, bedroom aspect fulfilled by 35.42%, sanitation aspect fulfilled by 0%, kitchen space aspect fulfilled by 50%, and health facilities aspect fulfilled by 0%. Abstract

ABSTRACT Tuna Longliner or Tuna Longliner is fishing gear for a large pelagic fish, including Tuna. One unit of Tuna Longlinerr usually operate are 1000-2000 off the hook for once. Tuna Longliner generally operated on the high seas or ocean waters. Fuel is the largest production factor of Tuna Longliner. Fuel prices tend to rise is expected to affect the productivity and business feasibility. This study aims to assess the productivity and business feasibility Tuna Longliner at Cilacap district. Research carried out in PPS Cilacap in August until September 2008, using survey methods. Primary data collected are: the price of fish, size of vessel (GT), composition of the catch, and volume production. While secondary data is captured fish production of Tuna Longliner and fishing trip. Analysis of production data and produksivity using descriptive statistics, presented in the curves. Business feasibility analysis performed by calculating the NPV, IRR, and payback periods.  The results showed that the productivity of Tuna Longliner of Cilacap district is relatively low (0.045 tons / GT / year). The low of productivity due to the occurrence of a fully-exploited. This apparently resulted in a fishing business using Tuna Longliner of Cilacap district is not feasible, based on indicators of NPV, IRR, and payback periods.
