Abstract

Information technology consists of computers to process data, network systems to connect computers, and communication technology for distribution of data for global access. Now, the University of Timor has no information system to manage the data collection of research reports and lecturers' community service. This situation makes the data collection of reports in the LPPM section not yet effective.Data processing at the University of Timor LPPM is still manual, in the form of recording on paper and files on a computer. Even though the data collection already uses a computer, the data stored is irregular and not centralized.Based on the above problems, we created a system to assist the process of data collection of research reports and community service lecturers at the University of Timor LPPM, we used Adobe Dreamweaver CS5.The test results show that after implementing our system at LPPM, the research and service data becomes well organized in one database, it is more effective and efficient in managing data and information about LPPM activities.

Abstract

Mammals are the highest group of animals in the animal kingdom, and are one of the classes of vertebrate animals that are characterized by hair and mammary glands (mammary glands). Research records regarding the abundance of mammals in Oelmuke Hamlet to date are 0%. The study of the abundance of mammal species is very important to do, because it can produce basic data that can be used as a guide to find out the abundance of mammals in the area under study. Therefore it is necessary to study the abundance of individual mammal species found in the Oelmuke Village area as preliminary data on the abundance of mammal species in the region. This research was carried out in Oelmuke Village, Mutis District, North Central Timor Regency in August 2019 with direct observation using strip transect method. The results showed that four types of mammals were found in the T01-Ta1 and T02-Ta2 observation pathways, consisting of 30 individual pigs (Sus scrofa domesticus), 37 individual cows (Bos indicus), 17 dogs (Canis lupus), and 20 individual horses (Equus caballus). The largest diversity index value of mammals is Bos indicus on the T01 - Ta1 observation pathway with an H 'value of 0.1598 and the lowest is Canis lupus on the T01 - Ta1 observation pathway with an H' value equal to 0.1236. Mammalian species evenness index values on all observation pathways (T01-Ta1 and T02-Ta2) ranged from 0.1190 to 0.1491. The value of mammalian species wealth index in the T01-Ta1 observation lane was 4.2592 and the mammal species wealth index on the T02-Ta2 lane was 11.8097. The highest index value of abundance of mammals was found in cows (Bos indicus) of 36.67%, and the lowest index value of abundance of mammals was found in dogs (Canis lupus) of 15.00%. To facilitate further research, it is necessary to compile a biodiversity database and inventory activities for each animal species in a certain area should also be improved.

Abstract

Ginger (Zingiber officinale) is one of the plants of the zingiberaceae family that grows evenly on the island of Timor. The condition of the island of Timor with a long dry season (± 8 months) resulted in the condition of the plants being in a state of drought stress. The purpose of this study was to obtain endophytic bacteria from ginger plants and to identify macroscopically, and test the endophytic bacterial antagonists as producing antibiotics. Samples were obtained from North Central Timor District (TTU), especially from Naibenu District, Kefamenanu City District, and West Miomaffo District. Bacterial isolation method used is the method of spreading and planting on petri dishes using Nutrient Agar (NA) media. While the test of antibiotic-producing activity is seen from the formation of inhibitory zones around the colony. The results of isolation of endophytic bacteria in ginger plants obtained 14 isolates that have the potential to produce antibiotics. Antagonist test results showed that endophytic bacterial isolates were able to inhibit the growth of Staphylococus aureus bacteria with the highest inhibitory zone diameter, namely from JMKBD3 isolates of 2.66 mm. Morphological identification of JMKBD3 isolate colonies is known that irregular colony shape, undulate edge, flat elevation, and white colony color.

Abstract

One potential ingredient that has a high starch content is sorghum (Sorghum bicolor L.). Sorghum (Sorghum bicolor L.) has broad agroecological adaptability, is resistant to drought, is resistant to pests and diseases compared to other plants. The high carbohydrate content (amylose and amylopectin) of around 73 g / 100 g material from sorghum is very possible to be converted into ethanol. This study aims to determine the optimum reducing sugar concentration before and after the initial treatment by microwave and to get bioethanol with the highest levels and percent yield. A total of 10 grams of sorghum powder were suspended with an aqueous solution of H2SO4 1%, 2% and 3% as much as 250 mL and then heated using microwave irradiation at temperatures of 100, 150, 200 and 250 oC for 20, 30, and 40 minutes. The liquid fraction of hydrolysis results was analyzed by reducing sugar content by the DNS method using a UV-Vis spectrophotometer. The results of the DNS (Dinitrosalisilat) analysis showed that reducing sugar levels increased with increasing hydrolysis temperatures at 100 0C to 150 0C (2.8 - 4.4 mg / L) and decreased levels at temperatures 200 and 250 0C. The results of hydrolysis optimization with variations in concentration over 30 and 40 minutes obtained reducing sugar levels increase with increasing acid concentration at the time of hydrolysis 30 minutes ie 2.0-8.5 mg / L and experienced a significant increase when extending the hydrolysis time 40 minutes ie 19, 1-42.7 mg / L. Reducing sugar concentration for ethanol production using a temperature of 150 0C with an acid concentration of 2% at the time of hydrolysis 40 minutes which is equal to 34.3 mg / L. Abstract

Coffee plants are one of the cultivated plants of the Sikka Regency community. Coffee contains chemical compounds which is needed by humans. One of them is cafeic acid. Cafeic acid was recognized as having the potential as an anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, and healing type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM). The Peroxixme proliferator-activated receptor gamma gene (PPAR-γ) has a role in homeostasis regulation, so it can be used as hyperglycemia. But do not study on the interaction of cafeic acid as anti-diabetes molecularly. The purpose of this study was to analyze and predict the physico-chemical properties and potency of cafeic acid as anti-diabetes through the interaction of cafeic acid with PPAR- γ protein in silico. The method used consisted of downloading PPAR-γ protein through protein bank data (GDP) and cafeic acid through the PubChem database, protein preparation (PPAR-γ) and ligands (cafeic acid) with the PyRx program, protein analysis and ligand using the program using the Hex program 8.0 .0 and Discovery Studio V16.1.0.15360. The results showed that occur between cafeic acid and PPAR-γ show the role of anti-diabetes. This is evidenced by the presence of 11 amino acid residues (ASP441, LYS373, ASP396, LYS438, GLU407, PRO398, GLY399, ARG397, LEU400, GLY395, VAL403) which interacted with the chlorogenic acids and their energies of -168.5cal/mol. This function activates GLUT2 and GLUT4 as transportation routes inside and outside the cell. Caffeic acid is predicted to have potential as a natural ingredient in coffee which can be used for DMT2 therapy with genetic care (Nurtigenetics). We suggest further study is required in vivo experiment.

Abstract

Supplier selection is one of the most important activities in supply chain network of a company. Supplier selection can be seen as a multi-objective problem because it is a multi-criteria problem that includes qualitative and quantitative factors. In fact, information relating to the objectives and constraints faced in the supplier selection problem are not known with certainty. Fuzzy set theory can be used in the obscurity and inaccuracy of information. So then the problem of supplier selection can be seen as a fuzzy multi-objective linear program. In business activities in general, between one goal with another goal has a different level of importance for decision makers so that the fuzzy decisions used are non-symmetrical fuzzy decisions. Previously there was a model developed to solve a non-symmetrical fuzzy multi-objective supplier selection problem, namely the weighted additive model. In this paper, the weighted max-min method is developed to deal with the deficiencies of the weighted additive model. In determining the objective function weights, the Analytic Hierarchy Process approach is used. This proposed model can help decision makers find out the right order for each supplier, and enable purchasing managers to manage supply chain performance on cost, quality and service. Finally, a numerical example is given to explain the differences of the two models
