Abstract

The Remaining Service Life (RSL) of the pavement can be used to assist in determining the proper timing of maintenance work. This study aims to analyze the value of the remaining service life of flexible pavement based on the prediction of damage that occurs using the MEPDG method and based on the prediction of pavement performance conditions with the Pavement Condition Index (PCI) value. Three roads in D.I. Yogyakarta is used as the object of research, namely the Milir-Sentolo, Pakem-Prambanan, and North-West Arteries. Prediction of the remaining service life of the pavement is calculated based on the prediction of the amount of damage. The types of damage predicted were rutting, alligator cracking, and longitudinal cracking. The pavement response value is obtained from the results of the analysis using the Kenpave program with the modulus of elasticity of the material for each layer as input. The results of the analysis show that the Pakem-Prambanan road segment has the longest remaining service life, both based on the prediction of pavement damage (³ 14th year), and the predicted PCI value (7th year). This is because this section serves the least traffic compared to others

Abstract

Silent hypoxia in Covid-19 patients and symptoms of severe hypoxemia require appropriate treatment. These cases often appear asymptomatic but risk fatal to life-threatening. One of the recommended devices is pulse oximetry. Embedded systems technologies and the Internet of Things (IoT) can develop low-cost personal health monitoring devices. This study developed a pulse oximetry prototype integrated with a digital temperature sensor and equipped with the interpretation results of both "normal" and "hypoxic" conditions. It is called OxyTemp. IoT technologies monitor user conditions remotely using the Blynk application via mobile phones. This study used Research & Development with the Reverse engineering method. The OxyTemp has Different types of prototype testing are physical and functional inspection, electrical safety testing, and performance testing of each parameter using an appropriate calibrator. The working method refers to SK Direktur Jenderal Pelayanan Kesehatan Tahun 2018 No. 041-18 on Pulse Oximeter Testing Working Methods.

Abstract

Fossil energy sources are currently decreasing, requiring the development of alternative energy sources. Vegetable oil is a raw material for alternative renewable energy supplies. This study produced biofuels from vegetable oil using calcium carbonate (CaCO3)-impregnated HY catalysts. In addition, this study aimed to investigate the effect of CaCO3 impregnation on the surface area and the catalytic activity of catalysts in the palm oil cracking process to produce biofuels. The HY catalyst was modified by the wet impregnation method in 5 wt% CaCO3 solution and was further calcined at 550°C for three h. Furthermore, the catalysts were tested in a continuous fixed-bed catalytic reactor at 450°C. The catalyst properties were characterized using Brunauer–Emmett–Teller (BET) surface area, Barrett–Joyner–Halenda (BJH) for pore size distribution, and X-Ray Diffraction (XRD) for crystal structure and phases. The results showed that the addition of CaCO3 decreased surface area and pore volume; however, the pore size increased, which resulted in the production of heavy hydrocarbons. Interestingly, the introduction of CaCO3 enhanced the yield of Organic Liquid Product (OLP) and diesel-range hydrocarbons selectivity to reach 79.09% and 30.54%, respectively. Furthermore, the introduction of CaCO3 increased deoxygenation activity.

Abstract

Sweet cassava is tuber that contains large amount of starch so that it can produce reducing sugars. The addition of metal ions can increase enzyme activity. The purpose was to study the addition of Na and Ca ions on reducing sugars concentration and to study the hydrolysis kinetics. Experiments were carried out at various concentrations of substrates (100, 200, and 300 g/L), enzyme concentrations (1 and 1.5% (w/w)), addition of Na and Ca ions of 60 ppm. The hydrolysis method was conducted at temperature of 30°C with the enzyme StargenTM 002 at pH 4, for 24 hours. The results showed that starch concentrations of 100-200 g/L were able to significantly increase the reducing sugars at enzyme concentration of 1.5% (w/w). The addition of Ca ions increased the concentration of reducing sugar by 64% while the addition of Na ions increased it by 18.9%. The best reducing sugar concentration (68.79 g/L) was obtained at starch concentration of 200 g/L and enzyme concentration of 1.5% (w/w) with the of Ca ions. Kinetic studies show that phenomenon follows Michaelis-Menten equation with Vmax valued of 6.053; 8,881; 15.106 g/L.hour, respectively. So that, addition of Na and Ca ion can increase the enzyme activity

Abstract

Information technology is required by the Faculty of Engineering UNDIP to support the achievement of faculty goals. This faculty has implemented and relied on information technology for administrative processes, teaching, and learning activities although in performing its business processes since 2004. The problem found was the practices of information technology have been expected by the Faculty of Engineering UNDIP, or not yet. Therefore, research on the governance of IT audit is necessary to know which management objectives are important, the current capability level, comparison of IT governance conditions in 2014, which management objectives have been achieved, and provide some recommendations. This research method uses the COBIT 2019 on two parameters of the DSS and MEA. Based on the results of the research, the current capability level of the Faculty of Engineering according to the DSS and MEA domain of COBIT 2019 is at level 1 (performed) with an average value of 36%. The Faculty of Engineering has decreased level, but the goal has been more or less achieved through the practices of a set of incomplete/disorganized activities.

Abstract

In 2017-2019, the Tanah Laut Regency, Banjar Regency, Banjarbaru City population was relatively high and continued to increase every year. The increase in the population reaches 1.39% to 2.92%. Along with population growth, the human need for clean water also increases, especially from groundwater. The study aims to assess the vulnerability of groundwater to contamination. The method used for the analysis of groundwater vulnerability to contamination is the DRASTIC method. It refers to seven parameters, namely groundwater depth (D), net recharge (R), aquifer media (A), soil layer (S), topography (T), impact to vadose zone (I) and hydraulic conductivity (C) by using geospatial analysis to calculate the DRASTIC Index/DI. From the results of geospatial analysis, there are three zones of groundwater vulnerability to contamination based on DI values, namely low vulnerability (95-106), medium vulnerability (106-146), and high vulnerability (146-186). The distribution of high zones dominates in the research area around of 75, 8%. The DRASTIC method requires a lot of data to provide an accurate analysis of groundwater vulnerability zone maps. This method has excellent accuracy and more effective in producing a map of the groundwater vulnerability zones to contamination.

Abstract

The increase in the need for residential land will encourage changes in land use functions. Monitoring the development of urban settlements in Kudus Regency, specifically in the Districts of Bae, Jati, Kaliwungu and Kota needs to be carried out so as not to cause a transfer of land use functions that deviate from the applicable RTRW. Monitoring can be done by modeling. The modeling of urban settlement development is then combined with GIS to support the spatial analysis. This study aims to determine the changes in land use function for urban settlements in 2010-2020 with the overlay identity method, apply the CA-Marcov method in predicting land use for urban settlements in 2030 and find the value of modeling conformity with the RTRW map and its development pattern using the average nearest neighbor. The data used are WordView images in 2010 and 2015, SPOT-7 images in 2020 and the RTRW Map of Kab. Holy year 2012-2032. The results showed that the development of urban settlements in 2010-2015 was 162,375 Ha, while in 2015-2020 it was 55,978 Ha. During 2010 to 2020, the food crop agricultural area changed its function into urban settlements amounting to 126,927 Ha. The area of land for urban settlements as a result of the prediction of land use in 2030 is 3323,285 Ha, where the agricultural area for food crops is the largest land converted into urban settlements of 321,803 Ha. The value of the suitability of the predicted use of 2030 with the RTRW map is 71.42%. The pattern of urban settlement development in 2030 is random.

Abstract

Selama ini dalam memahami bentuk spasial kota dilakukan dengan menggunakan kemampuan kognisi spasial pengamat untuk mendapatkan gambaran imajinasi struktur kota yang didalamnya terdapat hubungan elemen fisik satu dengan elemen fisik lainnya. Penelitian ini menawarkan teknik penggunaan kemampuan otak pengamat yang disebut neurosains agar pemahaman bentuk spasial kota lebih dari sekadar bentuk fisik yang berestetika, namun juga terkait dengan munculnya perasaan dan emosi dari pengamat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membahas pendekatan neurosains dalam memahami bentuk spasial kota untuk melengkapi penggunaan kognisi spasial yang sebelum ini telah dilakukan oleh para peneliti lain. Manfaat penelitian ini digunakan sebagai salah satu instrumen dalam mengevaluasi desain ruang kota berdasarkan persepsi pengamat. Metode penggalian data dan informasi menggunakan teknik menggambar peta oleh pengamat dengan berfokus pada penguasaan area perkotaan beserta elemen-elemen fisik di dalamnya kemudian dilanjutkan dengan wawancara secara mendalam. Hasil penelitian telah membuktikan, bahwa pendekatan neurosains dalam memahami bentuk spasial kota telah menghasilkan pengkayaan pemahaman, tidak hanya pada pemahaman bentuk fisik struktur kota beserta elemen-elemen identitasnya sekaligus menyertakan respon emosi dan makna pengamat terhadap bentuk spasial kota

Abstract

The research was conducted at the Dinding A and Dinding B, Moronopo Site PT Antam Tbk, East Halmahera, North Maluku which is a block that has been opened for the mining process. Generally the stratigraphy of laterite nickel deposits, from top (young) to bottom (old) consists of overburden, limonite, saprolite and bedrock. The saprolite zone is an economical ore layer for Ni content. This research aims to determine the relationship between grain size of ore and the mineralogy and economical Ni content. The research methods used include the grain size fractionation method with sizes of -5 cm, +5 cm, +10 cm, +15 cm, +20 cm and +25 cm, and XRF analysis to determine the Ni content. The result of this study shows the rocks in the saprolite zone containing minerals such as olivine, serpentine, garnierite and chrysoprase. The XRF analysis result shows the highest Ni content is found in the finest grain fraction (-5 cm) i.e. 2.4% and the lowest Ni content found in the coarsest grain fraction (+25 cm) i.e. 1.87 % but  is still classified as economic.
