Abstract

Laying chicken is a type of extremely popular poultry developed by small farmers.  Laying chicken (layerThis research aimed to determinemicrobiologic status observation on the broiler chicken of the traditional markets in the regency of Pringsewu. The study was conducted from September—October 2015 in the Laboratory Veteriner Office of Lampung.  The study used a random sampling technique and used 20 samplesfrom 7 traditional markets.Parameters of microbiologic status observed total plate count, E. coli, dan Salmonella sp..Microbiologic status data were analyzed using binomial test concern their each parameters.  The result showed that total plate count (TPC), Salmonella sp.and E.coli was not excess with standard.   The broiler chicken microbiology status of the traditional markets in Pringsewu regency was not excess with benchmarks published by the National Standardization Agency (NSA) 7388:2009. Abstract

This research aims to 1) the effect of spraying a solution of  B complex on fertility, weight loss, hatchability, and embryo mortality on eggs of tegal duck;  2) the optimal dose of solution B complex as an ingredient sprayers on fertility, weight loss, hatchability, and embryo mortality on eggs of tegal duck.  This research was conducted at duck farms in the village Bumirestu, District Palas, South Lampung regency in April--May 2015.  Completely rndomized design (CRD) with 4 treatment dose of vitamin B complex (0, 4, 6, and 8 g/l of water) used as spraying and 5 replications. Each experimental unit using  6  eggs of tegal duck. The data were analyzed using ANOVA with  the assumptions of variance at 5% significance level. Significantly different result further tested with orthogonal polynomials test.  The research showed that 1) spraying a solution of vitamin B complex 0--8 g/l of water provide no real effect (P> 0.05) on fertility, hatchability, and embryo mortality.  However, significant (P <0.05) on weight loss; 2) the optimal dose of vitamin B complex use solution 0--8 g/l of water as spraying material tegal duck hatching eggs is 3,9 g/l of water on weight loss. Abstract

The aims of the research to determine the carrying capacity of waste by product and livestock based agriculture waste as feed for ruminants in District Pringsewu . This study used a survey method. The survey method used in this research is purposive sampling. Potential feed material is calculated based on the production of feed material multiplied by the area harvested and expressed in dry matter (DM ) , crude protein (CP ) and total digestible nutrients ( TDN ) . Forage samples obtained from taking snippets / tiling agricultural waste. The results showed that the production of waste in dry matter by BK , PK , and TDN respectively is 170 420 tonnes , 13 296 tonnes and 86 600 tonnes . Then the carrying capacity (DDLP ) based BK , PK , and TDN  is 74 672 UT , UT 5519 and UT 55 195 . Total population of ruminants in District Pringsewu ( 20 804 UT ) can be met the needs of feed based on availability BK , and TDN . Abstract

The research aims to determine the effect of ND vaccine doses to the amount of antibody titers produced in the male duck, held in December 2015 until January 2016, located in the village of Sabah Balau, Subdistrict of Tanjung Bintang, District of South Lampung. The experimental design used in this study is completely randomized design (CRD) consisting of p0 control injected 0.5 ml of distilled water; p1 ND 0.1 ml dose of vaccine; p2 ND vaccine doses of 0.2 ml; p3 ND vaccine doses of 0.3 ml; p4 ND vaccine doses of 0.4 ml; and p5 ND vaccine doses of 0.5 ml. The treatment given to the male duck age of 5 days with inactive Newcastle disease (ND) vaccine. Analysis of antibody titer is done in PT. Vaksindo, Jakarta. The data were analyzed by analysis of variance on the real level of 5%. The results of this study showed that administration of inactivated ND vaccine doses  give no significant effect  (P> 0.05) on antibody titers produced. Abstract

The research was conducted on May 16—18 at the Laboratory of Technical Services Unit Regional Artificial Insemination Central Lampung, using semen from  Ongole cattle. aims of this research were determine the effect of different doses of rafinose and determine the optimal doses rafinosa in tris  yolk diluent for motility, percentage of live and abnormalities spermatozoa Ongole cattle. The experimental design used  completely randomized design with 6 treatments rafinosa doses (0,5%;  1,0%,  1,5%;  2,0%;  2,5%;  3%) in tris yolk diluent with 4 times replications. The data were analyzed using  analysis of varian with 5% or 1% significance level. Significantly different results was further tested by orthogonal polynomials.  The results showed that the addition of rafinosa doses effect were not significantly different (p>0.05) on percentage motility after prefreezing and Post Thawing Motility, the percentage of live sperm Post Thawing Motility, and the percentage of abnormal spermatozoa after equilibration, prefreezing, and Post Thawing Motility, but the effect is very significantly (p<0.01) on percentage motility spermatozoa after equlibration and percentage of live spermatozoa after prefreezing. Addition doses of rafinose significant effect (p <0.05) on the percentage of live sperm after equilibration. Addition doses rafinose based pattem ortogonal polinomial regression on percentege motility after equilibration with equations ӯ = 65,58-2,36x, the persentage of live sperm after equilibration with aquations ӯ=81,23-4,47x, and the persentage of live sperm after prefreezing with aquations ӯ=79,13-4,68x. Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the water content, protein, and fat in the avocado seed jackfruit and durian obtained from traditional markets in Bandar Lampung. Materials used in this research are the seeds of avocado, jackfruit seeds, and seeds of durian. The material obtained from the three traditional markets, namely Bandar Lampung Bambu Kuning, Markets Teluk, and Market Way Halim. This research was conducted using a survey method with the sampling design. Samples were taken three replications from each market using purposive random sampling.  The results showed that: (1) the moisture content of 81.28% jackfruit seeds, avocado seed 60.16%, and 45.95% durian seeds (2) The lipid content of crude oil in the avocado seed 11: 40%, 10 durian seeds, 98%, and jackfruit seeds 10: 25% (3) the protein content in seeds 11.70% jackfruit, durian 6: 56% of fruit seeds, and avocado seed 6: 52%. Keywords: Avocado Seeds,Seeds of Jackfruit, Durian Fruit Seeds

Abstract

The purpose of this research are to (1) determine the effect of probiotics on the local microbes on performance of layer; (2) determine the optimal level  in the ration and IOFC of layer. This research do at 20thDesember 2014 – 19th Januari 2015 in CV Varia Agung Jaya Farm, Central Lampung.  This research used a completely randomized design (CRD) using probiotic with 4 treatments (0, 1, 2 and 3%) with 5 replications with 2 chickens of is treatment which of the number of chickens that used was 40 chickens.  The result of this research the giving probiotic from local microbal have significant effect on consumption and IOFC (P <0.05), whereas no significant effect on egg production, egg weight and feed conversion. Abstract

The aim of research was to knowing AI vaccine doses in female ducks of the most well titer of antibodies produced. The research was conducted in Desember 2015 in Sabah Balau, District Tanjung Bintang, District South lampung. Ducks uses were 54 tails are a female using a completely randomized design (RAL) consisting of 6 treatments (P0: control with distilled water provisison, P1: administration of inactivated AI vaccine doses of 0,1 ml, P2: of inactivated AI vaccine doses of 0,2 ml, P3:of inactivated AI vaccine doses of 0,3 ml, P4: of inactivated AI vaccine doses of 0,4 ml, and P5: of inactivated AI vaccine doses of 0,5 ml) with repeat 3 times.  The result of analysis of variance showed that the level of AI vaccine doses at 5 days old female ducks no significant (P>0,05) on antibody titer to the value of each row (P0 : 4,33, P1 : 4,33, P2 : 7,33, P3 : 4,67, P4 : 4,33, P5 : 5,7). Abstract

This research aims to 1) study the effect of using feed additive on ration for egg weight and haugh unit (HU) value; 2) study optimum doses of feed additive in ration layer. This research was conducted in May - June 2016 at layer farm in Sumber Sari, Tamansari village of Gedong Tataan, Pesawaran, Analysis Laboratory Polytechnic of Lampung, Laboratory of Nutrition and Food livestock, and Laboratory Production and Reproduction of Livestock  Animal Husbandry Department, Faculty of Agriculture, University of Lampung.  This  research used completely randomized design with 4 treatments of feed additives doses (0; 0.15; 0.25; and 0.35%) added on feed with 5 replications. Each replications using four layer. The data were analyzed using ANOVA analysis with 5% significance level. Significantly different results was further tested by orthogonal polynomials. The result can be conclude that 1) Addition of feed additives with a doses of 0; 0.15; 0.25; 0.35% on feed influence insignificantly (P> 0.05) to the egg weight, but it influenced significantly (P<0.05) in the Haugh unit value (HU). 2) The optimum dose addition of feed additives in the ration was 0.24% on the value of Haugh units of eggs.
