Jurnal Ilmu Ilmu Agribisnis: Journal of Agribusiness Science is published by the Department of Agribusiness, Faculty of Agriculture, University of Lampung, in collaboration with PERHEPI, the Indonesian Agricultural Economist Association. The first printed Journal was published in 2013 and the online version started in May 2018 edition. The scopes include agribusiness, agricultural economics, agricultural development, rural sociology, agricultural extension, food security, and other subjects related to agriculture and society. Abstract

The research was designed to determine the best planting month, the size of farm income, the value of revenue/cost ratio (R/C), the correlation between R/C and the price as well as production of cassava, and the marketing efficiency. This research was conducted in district Bumi Nabung Lampung Tengah Regency.Respondents were 60 cassava farmers in District Bumi Nabung. The R/C value was determined from the farming income method, the correlation by Pearson Correlation test method, and the marketing efficiency by SCP (market Structure, market Conduct, market Performance) method. Data were analyzed in the manner of descriptive qualitatively and quantitatively. The results indicated that the best planting months was either the farmer planted in June or July with the R/C values of 3.49 and 3.85. The correlation between R/C and the production was inversely proportional and the correlation between R/C and the price was directly proportional. There are two types of marketing channels. Channel I, the farmer would directly sell to the tapioca factory with the farmer's share value of 93.31%. Channel II, the farmer would go to the collector, then the collectors would sell to the tapioca factory with a farmer’s share value of 89.92% and the Ratio Profit Margin (RMP) value of 0.49.Key words: cassava, marketing, planting month, price, production

Abstract

This research aims to know the farming income of organic rice; production risk and price risk faced by the organic rice farmers. This research was conducted in North Lampung Regency in March-April 2019. This sample of this research consists of 31 organic rice farmers which are taken by using census method. Thedata analysis method are farming income analysis and risk analysis which uses statistics method by counting variance, standard deviation, and coefficient of variation (CV). The results showed that the average of farming income that was achieved by organic rice farmers amounted to IDR 60,525,621.96. The production and price risk are classified into the low category because the value of CV of production risk is 0.13 and CV of price risk is 0.10.Key words: income, organic rice, risk.

Abstract

This study aims to study the halal certification process of banana processed products at the Institute forFood, Drugs, and Cosmetics Studies of The Indonesian Ulama Council (LPPOM MUI) Lampung Provinceto find out the increase in sales of banana chips after obtaining a halal certificate, and to explore consumer behavior of Lampung banana chips branded KPS, PD. AS, and KPKK. The research is conducted by surveymethod. Data collection was conducted in March 2019 in which 45 people were selected by using accidentalsampling. The data are analyzed by descriptive analysis and Attitude model of Multiatribute Fishbein. Thehalal certification process carried out by LPPOM MUI Lampung Province on banana chips agroindusty hasseveral online steps on web regs.e-lppommui.org. The increase in sales after obtaining a halal certificate is an increase in the number of production with the turnover reaching 40 percent. When purchasing bananachips, halal is highly considered by consumers. Consumers at KPS, PD. AS, and KPKK are satisfied andmay repurchase.Key words: banana chips, consumers, halal certificate

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to analyze the marketing mix, the level of consumer loyalty to the consumption of melon fruit and the effects of the marketing mix on the loyalty of melon consumers at PT. Mekar UnggulSari, Bogor, West Java. Data were collected in September until November 2018. The research was conducted at PT. Mekar Unggul Sari, Bogor, West Java as a case study. Respondents in the study amounted to 89 people with the sampling technique used was no-probability sampling with accidental sampling. The results of the study explain that the marketing mix elements used as variables in this study are the elements of the product, price, place and promotion. The level of consumer loyalty of melon fruit at PT. Mekar Unggul Sari in this study is at the liking the brand level. The average score on the variable consumer loyalty obtained is 4.38 or it can be said that the level of loyalty of melon consumers score is 93.26% at the level of liking the brand.Key words: effect, loyalty of consumer, marketing mix

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the level of food security, factors that influence the level of food security and efforts to improve food security of fisherman households. This research is a survey conducted in coastal area Pasarmadang Village, Kotaagung Subdistrict, Tanggamus District. Respondents were 48 traditional fisherman households selected using a simple random method. Data collection was carried out in April-May 2018. The level of food security was analyzed by using cross classification between the share of food expenditure and energy adequacy, the factors that influence the level of food security were analyzed by regression of ordinal logit, and efforts to improve food security were analyzed descriptive qualitatively. The results showed that most fisherman households are in the category of food insufficiency (50.00%). The rests are in the food-resistant category (29.17%), food vulnerable (10.42%), and food insecurity (10.42%).  Factors that affect food security of fisherman households are the number of household members, education of housewives, and household income. Government efforts to improve food security include strengthening food availability, diversification and food security, utilizing yards, controlling food prices, fostering, providing facilities and infrastructure, PKH and Raskin programs. Meanwhile, efforts by fisherman households are to change diet, improve nutrition knowledge, and increase income by working outside thefishing business and employing family members.Key words: cross classification, fisherman households, food security.

Abstract

The purposes of this research were to analyze the income of banana farmer households, the level of banana farmer household’s welfare, and the factors that influence the banana farmer household’s welfare. This research was conducted at Sumbermulyo and Tegalbinangun villages of Sumberejo subdistrict ofTanggamus regency. The samples were chosen by simple random sampling method. The number of respondents in this study was 62 banana farmers. The data were collected in March 2019. The method of data analysis used in this study was quantitative and qualitative descriptive analysis. The results showed that average household income of banana farmers in Sumberejo of Tanggamus Regency was IDR32,763,337.90 per year. It came from banana farming (on farm) amounting to IDR17,497,289.52 and from outside the banana farming (on farm, off farm and non farm) amounting to IDR15,266,048.38. Based on BPS (2014) criteria, banana farmers household at Sumberejo District were mostly categorized as prosperous farmers families. Based on the regression analysis using binary logit there were two factors influencing the prosperity grade of banana farmers, they are household income and the number of family members.Key words: banana farmers, farmer household’s welfare, income

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the level of income and welfare of organic and inorganic rice farmers households in Pringsewu and Pardasuka Sub-District. This research used a case study method in Pringsewu and Pardasuka Sub-District, Pringsewu Regency purposively with consideration that the area is a regional pioneer of organic rice farming in Lampung Province and has obtained SNI certification from the government. The total samples were 37 farmers consisted of 17 organic rice farmers and 20 inorganic rice farmers. The data were collected in April-June 2018 and analyzed by farm income analysis, household income analysis, and welfare analysis based on BPS’s criteria (2014). The results showed that the average household income of organic and inorganic rice farmers in Pringsewu and Pardasuka Sub-Districts are IDR 21,520,505.88 per year and IDR18,785,344.38 per year. Based on BPS’s criteria, as many as 88.24% and70% households of organic and inorganic rice farmers are included in the already prosperous category.Key words: household welfare, inorganic rice, income, organic rice

Abstract

The purposes of this research are to analyze the added value of tapioca flour, identifying the internal and external environment, and formulate development strategies of tapioca flour agroindustry X in Kalirejo Sub- District. The research method is a case study and data used are primary and secondary data. The data are analyzed by using descriptive qualitative and quantitative analysis. The results showed that tapioca flour agroindustry X provided added value of IDR4,475.03/kg of tapioca flour (63.28 %) in grade A; IDR4,084.74/kg of tapioca flour (61.16 %) in grade B; and IDR2,897.05/kg of tapioca flour (52.67 %) in grade C. The internal environment which is the strength of tapioca flour agroindustry X is a quality tapioca flour product and the weakness is the unskilled agro-industry workforce. The external environment which is the opportunity for tapioca flour agroindustry X is technology and the threat is the high product competitiveness. Strategies of tapioca flour agroindustry X are as follows: (a) utilizing quality tapioca flour products to meet consumer demand, (b) utilizing the existence of modern technology by conducting training for workers, (c) increasing the availability of materials standards to meet technological capacity in production, (d) increasing cooperation with suppliers of raw materials to overcome the shortage of raw materials due to the large number of competitors in the same business, and (e) increasing business profits by maximizing the use of technology.Key words: added-value, development strategy, internal and external environment, tapioca flour.
