Jurnal Ilmu Ilmu Agribisnis: Journal of Agribusiness Science is published by the Department of Agribusiness, Faculty of Agriculture, University of Lampung, in collaboration with PERHEPI, the Indonesian Agricultural Economist Association. The first printed Journal was published in 2013 and the online version started in May 2018 edition. The scopes include agribusiness, agricultural economics, agricultural development, rural sociology, agricultural extension, food security, and other subjects related to agriculture and society. This Journal is published four times a year, February, May, August, and November.

Abstract

The purpose of this research are to determine the process of raw materials procurement that correspond to six right(on time, right place, right quality, right quantity, right type, and the right price), to analyze processing activities to make income and added value of products, to determine the marketing mixin the marketing activities of siger rice’s product, andto determine the role of supporting services.  This research uses a case study method in Toga Sari Agro industryat Wira Agung Sari Village, Penawartama Tulang Bawang and in Mekar Sari Agro industryat Margorejo Village, South Metro Metro City. The research locations are chosen purposively by consideration of comparing both agro industry based on the similarities and differences they have.  Data of this research was collected on August 2015 – November 2015 and be analyzed by descriptive analysis of quantitative and qualitative.  The result of this research showed that the sixth component of raw materials procurement in Toga Sari Agro industry has been right, while in Mekar Sari Agro industry there was one component, namely price, has not been right. The income in Toga Sari Agroindustry was bigger than that of in Mekar Sari Agroindustry.  Both siger rice’s agro industries were viable because they had positive added value and quite favorable seen by the R/C ratio.   Marketing strategy of siger rice in both agro industries have been using marketing mix. All of supporting services were utilized in Toga Sari and Mekar Sari Agroindustry gave a positive role for the continuity of the production activities.Key words: agroindustry, marketing, siger rice

Abstract

This research aims to determine: (1) procurement of raw material, (2) value added of rattan product patio seat tanggok and patio seat pengki, (3) the effect of marketing mix and consumer behavior in purchase decision rattan product. This research was conducted in Bandar Lampung City as location of rattan agro-industry.  The numbers of manufactures respondent were 10 people.  The numbers of consumer respondent were 60 people that consist of 33 people who made a purchased rattan product and 27 people who did not make a purchased rattan product.  The data analysis method used were descriptive analysis, Hayami method analysis, and regression logistic analysis.  The result showed that: (1) procurement of raw material at rattan agro-industry in Bandar Lampung City already qualified as five element were proper of quantity, proper of quality, proper of time, proper of cost, and proper of organization, (2) ) value added of patio seat tanggok was Rp18.054,32 and value added of patio seat pengki was Rp16.613,02, (3) consumer perception of product, consumer perception of promotion, psychological factor, cultural factor, income, and gender had positive effect while consumer perception of distribution had negative effect on consumer decision to purchased rattan product in Bandar Lampung City. Abstract

This research aimed at analyzing family income of small-scale rubber plantation product, family welfare of small-scale rubber plantation product in Bumi Agung Subdistrict, Way Kanan District.  The number of respondents were 51 people using simple random sampling. The method used was survey method with the technique of the interview (questionnaire). The data was extracted from the primary and secondary data.  The study used the quantitative descriptive analysis with tabulation and computerization.  The study to analizing of family income, poverty level by Sajogyo (1997), and family welfare by BPS (2009).   The results showed the average income for a family was Rp13,245,069.59 per ha per year.  Based on Sajogyo criteria, family was live well as many as 45 family and based on BPS criteria as many as 43 family walfare from 51 of small-scale rubber plantation product. Abstract

The objectives of this research were to analyze: consumer attitudes, the stages of the purchase decision making, and the factors that affected the purchase decisions of chicken meat in Bandar Lampung City.  This research was conducted at three traditional markets in Bandar Lampung City, namely Tugu Market, SMEP Market, and Gintung Market. This  research was  a survey method, in which locations were determined on purpose, while the samples of 90 people were obtained by using accidental sampling technique. The data were analyzed by using descriptive qualitative analysis, multiatribute Fishbein analysis and logit regression analysis.  The results showed that consumer attitudes toward the attributes of chicken meat were that they preferred ‘ras’ chicken meat than kampong chicken meat; particularly in terms of the meat price and weight.  Consumer’s decision making stages of chicken meat showed that they bought chicken because of their awareness on the need of protein and 60 percent of them preferred to buy ‘ras’ chicken meat than kampong chicken meat.  Most consumers (61.11%) got information about chicken meat from merchants. There were 78 percent of consumers that were satisfied with their purchased of chicken meat and 12 percent were dissatisfied for getting improper weight and receiving unfresh meat. Factors that affected the purchase decisions of chicken meat in Bandar Lampung City were the price of ‘ras’ chicken meat protein, of kampong chicken meat, of salted fish, and family income.Key words: attitude, attribute, decision making

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the level of food crop agriculture adoption-inovation and the relationship between communication networks and the level of the adoption-inovation.  The location of this study was chosen puposively in Rejo Binangun village, Raman Utara subdistrict, East Lampung regency.  Respondents of this research are 34 farmers.  Data were collected in March-May 2016.  The research used a survey method with qualitative and quantitative analysis and used nonparametric statistics test Rank Spearman correlation to test the hypothesis. The results of this research showed that the level of foodcrop agriculture adoption-inovation involving rice and cassava in Rejo Binangun village, Raman Utara subdistrict, East Lampung regency is in medium classification and the level of food crop agriculture adoption-inovation has a significant correlation to the level of diversity of communication networks in Rejo Binangun village, Raman Utara subdistrict, East Lampung regency. Keywords: adoption-inovation, communication networks, food crop agriculture

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the performance and value added of kelanting agroindustry. Kelanting is kind ofsnack made from cassava. Karang Anyar Village Gedongtataan District of Pesawaran Regency was chosenas a research site. The respondents consisted of 25 actors in agroindustry of kelanting. Data collection wasconducted from July to August 2012. Methods of data analysis for (1) performance are reported netloss/profit, productivity, and capacity, and (2) value added is Hayami method. The results showed that: (1)Performance of kelanting agroindustry was good based on the R/C ratio of 1.24 (R/C > 1), the productivitywas 16.07 kg per HOK (>7.2 kg/HOK), and the capacity was 0.92 (>0.5). (2) Value added of kelanting wasRp1,184.02 per kilogram of cassava or 34.57 percent.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze level of income of farmerparticipants and non-participantsof ricepostharvest program, and post-harvest value-added of rice.The survey was conducted in Raman Fajar Villageas the program participantand Ratna Daya Villageas non-participant.  From each sampled village, two farmer groups were selectedpurposively. The number of respondents were 25 farmers from each farmer group. Data were collectedthrough interviews using questionnaires and analyzed using tabulation and t-test.  The results showed that 1) the average rice farming income of farmers participating in the program is smaller than that of nonparticipants, 2) there is asignificant difference in rice farm income between farmer participants and nonparticipantsin rainy season but there is no difference in dry season, 3) the use of rice Milling Unit (RMU) gives a positive value-added to farmers participating in the program in Raman Fajar Village Raman Utara Subdistrict of East Lampung Regency. Abstract

This study aims to analyze factors related to group communication effectiveness on Jarwobangplus Program implementation and to find out the relationship between the group communication effectiveness and the implementation of Jarwobangplus Program in Gadingrejo Subdistrict, Pringsewu Regency.  The location of this study was chosen purposively in Gadingrejo Subdistric, Pringsewu Regency and respondents were 86 of rice farmers committed to Jarwobangplus program. Data of this research was collected on April-May 2016.  The research employed survey method using descriptive analysis and used nonparametric statistic test correlation Rank Spearman to test the hypothesis.  The results showed that the factors that related to group communication effectiveness are group cohesion level, leadership type and semantics disruption frequency. There was a significant correlation between the group communication effectiveness and the Jarwobangplus Program implementation in Gadingrejo Subdistrict, Pringsewu Regency with rs score of 0.233.  It means that Jarwobangplus Program implementation achievement was determined by group communication effectiveness as much as 23.3 percent. Key words: group communication effectiveness, Jarwobangplus Program
