Jurnal Ilmu Ilmu Agribisnis: Journal of Agribusiness Science is published by the Department of Agribusiness, Faculty of Agriculture, University of Lampung, in collaboration with PERHEPI, the Indonesian Agricultural Economist Association. The first printed Journal was published in 2013 and the online version started in May 2018 edition. The scopes include agribusiness, agricultural economics, agricultural development, rural sociology, agricultural extension, food security, and other subjects related to agriculture and society. This Journal is published four times a year, February, May, August, and November.

Abstract

The reasearch that was conducted in Bandar Lampung aims to identify the bases and non-base sectors, identify the  economic performance and determine the potential sectors in Bandar Lampung City. This study using quantitative descriptive research model. The data used was Bandar Lampung GDP time series data from 2005 to 2012. It will be analyzed using three analysis tools, namely Location Quotient (LQ), Shift Share (SS) and Growth Ratio Model (MRP). LQ analysis results indicated that there were seven sectors of the base and two sectors of non base. Shift share analysis showed that the performance of the financial sector, leasing and business services have higher growth than other sectors. MRP analysis showed that there were eight potential sector to be developed in Bandar Lampung. Keywords: base sector, economic structure, potential sector

Abstract

The purpose of this study are to analyzethe success level of PUAP program, the level of the AEW’roles on PUAP program, and the factors  related to the success of the PUAP program.  This research was conducted in Sungkai District of North Lampung Regency.  The samples are 52 farmers selected randomly and 12 Agricultural Extension Workers selected purposively.  The data analysis methods used are qualitative-descriptive analysis, tabulation, and Rank Spearman correlation.  The results showed that the PUAP program has been successful, inrelation to output, outcome, benefit, and impact.The level of AEW’sroles towards the success of PUAP program was in good category, in the roles as the diseminator of information/inovation, facilitator, supervisor, monitoring, and evaluator. The factors related to the successof PUAP Program were the level ofAEW’sroles, the level of farmer’s participation, the level of managementfunds received by farmers, and farmers' level of knowledge about PUAP program.Key words: Agricultural Extension Worker,PUAP program, role, success

Abstract

This study aims to assess the benefit of being member of farmer group in improving income and relative economic efficiency on rice farm according to the comparison of farm income and the relative economic efficiency between farmer members and non-members of farmers group.  This research was conducted in Negara Ratu village of Natar Subdistrict of South Lampung Regency.  Farmer samples were selected randomly by simple random sampling. The total samples were seventy seven farmers, consisted of 38 farmer members and 39 non-farmer members.  The data was collected in February - March 2014. The benefits of farmers group was analyzed by t-test for the comparison of farm income and the profit function by adding the Dummy variable.  The results showed that the member farmer's income was higher than that of nonmembers of farmer groups. The relative economic efficiency of farmer group members were significantly higher than that of non members of farmers group, both in the first season and second season. Abstract

This research aims to determine the procurement system of catfish cultivation facilities, the income of catfish cultivation, added value of processing catfish (abon, patty and catfish stick ), the marketing of catfish (fresh and processed), and support services that support the agribusiness system on catfish.  This research is a case study, conducted on propose in Kota Gajah Subdistrict of Central Lampung Regency.  The data is collected in November 2014. Respondents of this research  are 33 person; amongs of them, 20 person are cultivators, 1 processor and 12 traders (9 fresh catfish traders and 3 processed catfish traders).  The data, consisted of primary and secondary data,is analyzed by deskriptive qualitative analysis, income analysis, added value and marketing margins.  The reasearch result showed that the procurement of feed input did not fulfill the criteria for proper price and proper quality.  The average income obtained from the cultivation of catfish MT I was Rp124,303,944.44/ha in which R/C value was 2.66 and on MT II wass Rp165,798,467.59/ha in which R/C value was 2.87.  The highest added value of catfish processed was catfish stick with the ratio value of 51.71 percent.  Marketing production of fresh catfish Pokdakan Sekar Mina in Kota Gajah Subdistrict, Central Lampung was inefficient, while marketing of processing catfish still simple marketing.  Supporting services that supported and facilitated the agribusiness activities of catfish Pokdakan Sekar Mina were market, counselors, transportation, and government regulation.  Key words: added value, agribusiness system, catfish

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the efficiency of cassava marketing system in Lampung Province. Theresearch was conducted purposively in Lampung Tengah and Lampung Utara in May-June 2012. Farmerrespondents were chosen randomly and marketing channel respondents were taken by tracing marketingnetworks. Data consisted of primary and secondary data. Data analysis included analysis of marketingsystem efficiency. The results showed that the marketing system of cassava in Lampung Province wasefficient with producer share (Ps) of more than 80 %, with the following conditions: (a) the market structurewas almost a perfect competition. (b) the market conduct: cassava farmers had no difficulty in marketingtheir product. (c) the market performance: there were two marketing channel; marketing margin and ProfitMargin Ratio were relatively small, and the elasticity of price transmission was less than one.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to analyze internal factors, external factors and design development strategies that more appropriate for cassava farming. This study was conducted in two villages, namely Ujung Gunung Ilir Village and Kagungan Rahayu Village of  Menggala Subdistrict of Tulang Bawang Regency. This study uses census method involving 91 cassava farmers in the two villages. The method of analysis in this study are matrix of Internal Factors Analysis (IFAS),  matrix of External Factors Analysis (EFAS), and SWOT analysis. The results of the analysis of internal factors includes production and human resources for stregth component, also includes management, infrastructure, and organization for weaknesses component. The results of the analysis of external factors includes technology, demand, infrastructure, and land topographic for opportunities component, also includes another farming, the condition of weather and climate, price of cassava  for the threats component. The design of new strategies to develope this farm were: increasing production to fill the demand of tapioca and biofuel industry, optimizing the advanced mindset and environmental friendly, increasing economic activity for the welfare, improving the infrastructure to repair farm roads, and working efficiency to increase the competitiveness. Abstract

The purpose of this study was to analyze the role of industry sub-sectors of agriculture and forestry product processing in Bandar Lampung on the theory of the economic base. The data used were secondary data from various institutions which was analyzed by analytical tools of location quotient (LQ), and the multiplier effect. The research results showed that the manufacture as sub-sectors of agriculture and forestry in Bandar Lampung has a value of LQ > 1 in which  average was 1.3654 (Base).  The role of the industry sub-sectors of agriculture and forestry product processing in Bandar Lampung was in the economic base region.  Any change in the average income of Rp1, the subsector of agriculture and forestry product processing could increase the total revenue of Rp5.90. The average change in total revenues in Bandar Lampung in the year of 2006-2010 amounted to Rp374,619,000,000. It is suggested that the manufacturing subsector is more developed together with the community and all policy holders in Bandar Lampung industry sub sectors, namely food, beverages, and tobacco, due to its rapid growth and competitiveness. In addition, to improve the economic could also be one of the tourist attractions in Bandar Lampung as the city's of “Tapis Berseri”. Abstract

This research was aimed to analyze PKBL of PTPN VII Rejosari’s Business Unit, community’s and company’s management perception to PKBL, and the factors that influence the community’s perception to PKBL. This research was conducted at Rejosari Village, Natar Subdistrict, South Lampung Regency. This research used survey method and the data was collected from April to May 2014.  The research respondents were 84 households that were chosen randomly. The data was analyzed by descriptive and path analysis. The result showed that PKBL by PTPN VII Rejosari’s Business Unit applied to two sectors: economic and environmental. PKBL granted directly to the recipient and the dissemination of information through the village officials and employees. The ccommunity’s perception of PKBL by PTPN VII Rejosari’s Business Unit was good enough because the program was given in various forms of assistances that was useful to community and the environment. Perception of the company's management on PKBL was also good for helping and providing great benefits to community and the environment. The factors that influenced to the community’s perception on PKBL by PTPN VII Rejosari’s Business Unit were personal age, personal educational level, and personal knowledge level. The most influencing factor of community’s perception on PKBL was personal age. Key words: community, development, partnership, perception, PKBL

Abstract

The aims of this research are to analyze: customer’s characteristics, attitudes and satisfactions, and its correlation on the total of monthly customers’ purchase.  The research location was determined purposively.  The number of interviewed respondents was 60.  Data were analyzed descriptively and by Multiatribute Fishbein, Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI) and Importance Performance Analysis (IPA), Pearson and rank Spearman correlation analysis.  The research results showed that the customers of Hang Dihi restaurant were women, 16-25 years old, mostly college students followed by graduates with income or allowance of Rp1,000,000-Rp2,000,000 per month having 4-5 family members. They came to the restaurant location from 3-5 km distance, and purchased pressed fried chicken as much as Rp22,000–Rp31,000 per month. The value of customers’ attitude was 11.82 meaning that customers had positive attitudes. The CSI value was 72 percent; it meant that customers were satisfied overall. Based on IPA, the customers evaluated that hygiene, variations of menu, and cleanness of place were needed to be improved. There was correlation between the total purchase of pressed fried chicken at Hang Dihi and customers characteristics i.e. gender, education, job, income, and attitude and satisfaction.  Key words: attitude, CSI, IPA, pressed fried chicken, and satisfaction
