Jurnal Ilmu Ilmu Agribisnis: Journal of Agribusiness Science is published by the Department of Agribusiness, Faculty of Agriculture, University of Lampung, in collaboration with PERHEPI, the Indonesian Agricultural Economist Association. The first printed Journal was published in 2013 and the online version started in May 2018 edition. The scopes include agribusiness, agricultural economics, agricultural development, rural sociology, agricultural extension, food security, and other subjects related to agriculture and society. This Journal is published four times a year, February, May, August, and November.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the economic benefits, income of rice farming, allocation of credit usage and analyze the factors affecting the chances of the smoothness rate of return at Seandanan Agricultural Cooperatives. The research is conducted at Seandanan Agricultural Cooperative in Pesawaran Regency, Lampung Province, which is determined intentionally.  The research data were taken in July 2019.  This study uses a case study method.  Respondents in this study are 70 rice farmers member of Seandanan Agricultural Cooperative. The data analysis method use descriptive qualitative and quantitative analyses. The results showed that the economic benefits received by members of cooperative in one year is IDR1,711,312.47 and in high category. The average income of rice farming received by members of the Seandanan Agricultural Cooperative in one year has been classified as high, in the amount over cash costs and over total costs, respectively, of IDR17,308,552.78 and IDR16,416,268.56.  Allocation of credit of cooperative membersconsistd of 58.85% for productive activities and the rest, 41.15% for consumptive activities.  Factors that affect the chances of the smoothness rate of credit return by rice farmers members of Seandanan Agricultural Cooperative are the education level of farmers and the allocation of productive credit usage.Key words: agricultural cooperatives, consumptive, credit, and productive

Abstract

The purposes of this study are to analyze cost-efficient control of feed raw material inventory, anticipate shortages of supply, determine the correct time frame for reordering raw materials at the feedlot company PT Indo Prima Beef using the Economic Order Quantity (EOQ) mathematical model and determine the inventory value of raw materials with the First In First Out (FIFO) assessment model. Data collection was carried out in March-May 2020 using a case study method.  The data used were primary data collected using questionnaires and secondary data from literature studies. The results showed that the inventory cost applied by PT Indo Prima Beef was different from the calculation of the EOQ model. According to EOQ analysis, the largest amount of safety stock is corn sugarcane as much as 139,725.95 kg, and the lowest amount is salt around 870.63 kg. The reorder point for PT Indo Prima Beef with the largest amount was dry onggok as much as 139,926 kg, while the lowest amount was 724.87 kg of salt. PT Indo Prima Beef uses a perpetual recording system with the First In First Out (FIFO) inventory valuation method with a total raw material inventory value of IDR2,129,685,820 in one year.Key words: EOQ,FIFO, inventory, supplies

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the distribution of poor households and analyze the relation between poverty level and household food access. The method used in this research is a survey method. The location was chosen purposively with consideration that Pardasuka Subdistrict represents the highest RASKIN beneficiary area in Pringsewu Regency. The respondents are 67 households of the RASKIN beneficiary selected randomly.  The research data were collected in January 2019. The distribution of poor households was analyzed descriptively and household food access was analyzed by using correlation analysis. The results showed that the distribution of poor households in Pardasuka Subdistrict consists of 47.76% Pre-Prosperous, 19.40% Prosperous I, and 32.84% Prosperous II.  The relation between poverty level and household food access in Pardasuka Subdistrict Pringsewu Regency is negative and significant, which means that when the food access increases, then the poverty level of the poor households decreases.Key words: poor household, food access

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the added value, the amount of production cost and selling cost of sausage rolls. The method used in this research is case study. The location is chosen purposively at CV Cucurutuku Ceria in Bandar Lampung with consideration that CV Cucurutuku Ceria trading business is one of the highest producers of sausage rolls in Bandar Lampung. The data of this research are primary data and secondary data, collected in March– April 2019. The first objective is analyzed by using the Hayami method, the second objective is analyzed using the Variable Costing method, and the third objective was analyzed by adding the total non-production cost and the cost of production per month. The results of the research showed that the highest added value was come from the cheesy sausage rolls while the lowest was from potato sausage rolls. All variants have positive added values and were feasible to be produced. The average cost of a noodle sausage roll production Rp962.85, a soya sausage roll Rp1,926.86, a cheesy sausage roll Rp1,768.44, a potato sausage roll Rp2,182.56 and a spicy sausage roll Rp1,982.22. The selling price of a noodle sausage roll Rp1,439.95, a soya sausage roll Rp5,180.52, a cheesy sausage roll Rp4,216.63, a potato sausage roll Rp6,907.81 and a spicy sausage roll Rp4,447.20.Key word: added value, cost of production and sausage rolls.

Abstract

The objectives of this study are to find out the profit, the farmers’ perception, the farmers’ interest of industrial cassava farmers, and to analyze factors affecting of the farmers’ interest for the industrial cassava. The locations of this study are chosen purposively in Sukadana and Rajabasa Batanghari Villages, Sukadana District, East Lampung Regency. The number of respondents were 64 farmers selected using simple random sampling method. The data were collected in September - October 2018. The profit is analyzed descriptively, the farmers’ perception is analyzed using the Likert Scale, and the factors affecting farmers’ interest are analyzed using binary logistic regression. The results of this study showed that the profit was IDR10,355,938.25 per hectare. The farmers’ perception of the industrial cassava farming was easy because of its the easiness of cultivation, the reliability of market, the availability of the agricultural extension, and the fulfillment for the farmers’ needs. The farmers’ interest in cassava farming was low. The factors affecting the farmers’ interest in cassava farming were the planting area and the price of the cassava.Key words: agriculture, cassava farmers, interests, perception

Abstract

This study aimed to determine forming income, the income of farmer households, and the sustainability of repong damar at Pahmungan Village, Central Pesisir Subdistrict, West Pesisir District. The method used in this research was the survey method. Primary and secondary data were collected in this study. The Sampling used census sampling. The number of respondents consisted of 58 farmers of repong damar. This study took approximately two months, starting from March to April 2018. The results of this study indicate that repong damar farming provides benefits and was feasible to run based on the results of the R/C has a value of>1. The household income of repong damar farmers was IDR 48,657,130.03 per year, the largest contribution comes from on-farm income with a percentage of 85.10 percent. Repong damar farming at Pahmungan Village, Central Pesisir Subdistrict, West Pesisir District was considered sustainable from social, ecological, and economic aspects.Key words: household income, income, repong damar, sustainability.

Abstract

This study aim is to analyze the income and financial viability of the beef cattle fattening business. This research uses a case study method conducted at PT Superindo Utama Jaya in Banjarsari Village North Metro Subdistrict Metro District, which determined purposively with the consideration that PT Superindo Utama Jaya is a beef cattle fattening center that contributes to the fulfillment of animal protein needs. Data collection was carried out in February - March 2019. In accordance with the results of the analysis beef cattle fattening business is feasible to be cultivated. Sensitivity analysis result with the assumption of decrease in cattle production and selling price of cattle by 11.22 percent and increase in cattle feed costs by 20.19 percent that the fattening business is still feasible to run.Key words: cattle fatening, financial viability, income

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the level of consumer satisfaction of coffee powder and the marketing mix of coffee powder agroindustry in Bandar Lampung City. The research method used was a case study. Research location was determined purposively. The number of interviewed samples was 60 respondents chosen using snowball sampling method. Respondents of this study consisted of consumers of coffee powder, owners, industry and trade in Bandar Lampung City, and experts of University Lampung chosen using snowball sampling. The study was conducted in February-April 2018. The data analysis methods used are the analysis of the Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI) and descriptive analysis. The results showed that: consumers of Jempol brand coffee powder in Bandar Lampung City were in satisfied criteria. The marketing mix for agroindustry has implemented marketing strategy (marketing mix).Key words: agroindustry, consumer satisfaction, coffee powder, marketing   mix

Abstract

This research aims to analyze  the main production cost and profit of local and recommended pepper breeding in Sukadana Baru Village, Marga Tiga Subdistrict, East Lampung Regency.  Respondents are ten pepper breeding farmers divided into three groups based on the amount of production and length of business.  The data were collected in March - April 2019.  This research used a survey method where the qualitative and quantitative analysis are utilized as the data analysis tools.  The quantitative analysis is utilized to analyze the main production cost and profit.  The qualitative analysis is used to differentiate the main production cost and profit from each group.  The results show that the cost production of local pepper breeding with variable costing method ranges from IDR1,103.86 - IDR1,466.68 and with the full costing method ranging from IDR1,351.71-IDR1,754.59.  The basic cost of recommended pepper breeding with variable costing method ranges from IDR821.83-IDR1,011.09 and with the full costing method ranging from IDR1,011.90-IDR1,305.09.  Local pepper breeding generated  profit for cash costs in one year amounting to IDR1,516.08-IDR3,527,046.65 and for a total cost of IDR1,016,002.78-IDR2,764,370.65, the recommended pepper breedings generated profit from cash costs a year amounting to IDR4,823,589.37-IDR12,628,495.56 and over total cost of IDR2,297,595.11-IDR8,763,441.85. Key words: breeding, pepper, profit, the main production cost.
