Jurnal Ilmu Ilmu Agribisnis: Journal of Agribusiness Science is published by the Department of Agribusiness, Faculty of Agriculture, University of Lampung, in collaboration with PERHEPI, the Indonesian Agricultural Economist Association. The first printed Journal was published in 2013 and the online version started in May 2018 edition. The scopes include agribusiness, agricultural economics, agricultural development, rural sociology, agricultural extension, food security, and other subjects related to agriculture and society. This Journal is published four times a year, February, May, August, and November.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the performance of business management towards the community and towards the benefits for the members, analyze internal and external environments, and develop some development strategies for KPT Maju Sejahtera. This research uses a case study method in KPT Maju Sejahtera, Tanjungsari District, South Lampung Regency. There were 12 respondents involved, consisting of 3 cooperative organizers, a cooperative supervisor, 5 cooperative members, an expert, and 2 regulators. Data analysis methods used are qualitative descriptive analysis, SWOT, and QSPM. Results showed the performance of cooperative business management is included in qualified category. The performance of cooperative towards the community and benefits for the members is included in quite-qualified category. Internally, the main strength was cooperative form partnerships with other legal entities. The main weakness was the low participation of members in using the services of cooperative business units. Externally, the main opportunity was there were no similar competitors in cattle breeding, and the main threat was the low interest of breeders to join as cooperative members. The priority strategies that can be used in developing KPT Maju Sejahtera are: (a) increase the production volume and quality of cooperative products using processing equipment and machines, (b) create processed beef products to increase added value and business unit activities, and (c) intensify communication with members to increase their participation.Key words: agriculture cooperative, development strategy, performance analysis

Abstract

In 2014 corn production in Indonesia has not been able to meet its needs. Therefore, since 2015, the Government of Indonesia has launched a Special Effort Program (Upsus) to increase corn production through increasing its productivity and planting area. This study aims to determine the effects of Upsus program on productivity, standard costs, and income of corn farming in South Lampung Regency. The model used is multiple regression with productivity, standard cost, and income as the dependent variables, and Upsus and other control variables in the form of dummy variables as the independent variables. Data are the corn farming data in the rainy season (MH) and dry season (MK) during non-Upsus (2013/2014) and Upsus (2017/2018). The data were obtained from interviews with 32 respondents of corn farmers in Ketapang and Tanjung Bintang Districts. The results showed that the Upsus program had a statistically significant effects on increasing productivity, decreasing standard cost, and increasing corn farm income with 1% of the significance level.  Its productivity increased from 4.89 tons / ha to 5.37 tons / ha or an increase of  9.81%. Its standard cost decreased from IDR1,282/kg to IDR1,016/kg or a decrease of 20.67%. Its income increased from IDR 6.11 million/ha to IDR 8.39million /ha or an increase of 37.22%.Key words: income, productivity, standard cost, Upsus

Abstract

The objectives of this research are to find out the selling standard cost of cassava production and the factors that influence the production of cassava farming. The research was a survey conducted in Central Lampung Regency in October-November 2018. The samples are 73 cassava farmers selected randomly. Data were analyzed using total income, total costs, profit margin, and Cobb-Douglas production function. The results showed that selling standard cost with profit margin of 13 percent is IDR1,145.81 in Terusan Nunyai Subsdistrict and IDR1,032.59 in Bandar Mataram Subsdistrict. The average price received by farmers is IDR1,456.57 and IDR1,570.65 respectively. It means that farmers have benefit from technical efficiency of cassava farming. There is a significant difference between the selling cost of cassava in area close to factory and that in farther area. The factors that affect the production of cassava are seeds, urea fertilizer, and location.Key words: Cassava, determining production cost, determining selling cost, farming.

Abstract

The objectives of the research were to analyze the participation of farmers in the Upsus Program, to analyze the factors that affect rice production, and to analyze the income level of lowland rice farming in Gadingrejo Sub District, Pringsewu District. The research was conducted in March-April 2019. The analysis of farmerparticipation in the Upsus Pajale program using scoring technique which were processed into interval data with Methode of Succesive Interval. Factors that affecting rice production were analyzed using the Cobb Doughlass production function, and analysis of farm income using a comparison between total revenues and total costs, called Revenue Cost Ratio (R/C). The results of this study were farmers' participation in the Upsus Pajale program was in the middle class, the factors that affect the rice production of lowland rice farming, namely land area, amount of phonska fertilizer, pesticide and farmer participation. Income from cash costs obtained by farmers amounted to Rp18,116,478.41 with R/C of 6,23/0,73 ha/planting season and income to total costs amounted to Rp16,184,879.44 with an R/C of 4,00/0,73 ha/planting season.Keywords: factors, income, production, rice paddy

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to analyze cooperative’s performance as a business entity, performance related to development, performance towards the interests of cooperative members, as well as economic and non-economic benefits received by members. This research was conducted at KUD Mina Dermaga using a case study method, the location was selected purposively with the consideration that the cooperative has not yet been ranked by researchers or local agencies. Responses stating that 30 people members. This research uses descriptive quantitative data analysis, customer satisfaction index analysis, and importance performance analysis. The results of this study indicate that the performance of business entities and performance related to the development of KUD Mina Dermaga are included in the qualified category. The performance of KUD Mina Dermaga in the interests of its members is of sufficient quality category. The economic benefits received by members are the difference in the cost of buying and selling services . The total annual average economic benefits received by KUD Mina Dermaga members are IDR 508,358.26. The non-economic benefits members on service performance and meeting the needs of members are in the high category (satisfied).Keyword : KUD, member satisfaction, performance

Abstract

This reseacrh aimed at analyzing level of income and welfare of rice farmers in Central Lampung Regency.  The reseacrh was conducted in Central Lampung District, deliberately taken location with consideration that it is the largest rice production center in Lampung Province in 2016.  Data were collected in January 2018 using a survey method.  The sample in this study amounted to 66 respondents of lowland rice farmers taken using a simple random sampling.  Data were analyzed using income analysis, R-C ratio, and household welfare according to the 2014 BPS criteria.  The results showed that the contribution of the income of lowland rice farmers in Central Lampung Regency in 2016 amounted to 70.81 percent of the total household income,  the rice farmers in Central Lampung Regency are mostly in the prosperous category based on the 2014 BPS criteria. Key words: income, rice farmers, welfare

Abstract

The research was designed to determine the best planting month, the size of farm income, the value of revenue/cost ratio (R/C), the correlation between R/C and the price as well as production of cassava, and the marketing efficiency. This research was conducted in district Bumi Nabung Lampung Tengah Regency.Respondents were 60 cassava farmers in District Bumi Nabung. The R/C value was determined from the farming income method, the correlation by Pearson Correlation test method, and the marketing efficiency by SCP (market Structure, market Conduct, market Performance) method. Data were analyzed in the manner of descriptive qualitatively and quantitatively. The results indicated that the best planting months was either the farmer planted in June or July with the R/C values of 3.49 and 3.85. The correlation between R/C and the production was inversely proportional and the correlation between R/C and the price was directly proportional. There are two types of marketing channels. Channel I, the farmer would directly sell to the tapioca factory with the farmer's share value of 93.31%. Channel II, the farmer would go to the collector, then the collectors would sell to the tapioca factory with a farmer’s share value of 89.92% and the Ratio Profit Margin (RMP) value of 0.49.Key words: cassava, marketing, planting month, price, production

Abstract

This study aims to determine attitudes, purchasing patterns and customer satisfaction on banana bolen CV Mayang Sari. This research method uses a survey method. Samples of this study consisted of 40 consumers who had purchased and / or consumed banana bolen 3 times. The data analysis methods used were descriptive, Fishbein's Multi-attribute model, Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI) and Importance Performance Analysis (IPA). The attributes used in this study are price, taste, flavor variants, size, texture, product packaging, and accessibility). The results showed that consumers liked banana bolen or had a good attitude with an Ao value of 132.52, the pattern of buying banana bolen CV Mayang Sari by 52.50 percent consumers, namely two boxes (20 pieces) of banana bolen in one transaction with the flavor variant that consumers are most interested in is chocolate 55 percent. The frequency of consumer purchases is 90 percent made once a month, customer Satisfaction Index (CSI) in consuming banana bolen CV Mayang Sari is in the very satisfied criteria, which is equal to 83.82 percent. Based on Importance Performance Analysis (IPA), there is one attribute that falls into quadrant I (Main Priority), namely the taste attribute. In quadrant II (Maintain Achievement) there is one attribute, namely the price attribute, while in quadrant III (Low Priority) there are attributes of size and ease of obtaining products, and in quadrant IV (Excessive) there are several attributes, namely texture, flavor variants, and product packaging.Key words: attitude, banana bolen, CSI, IPA
