Abstract

This study aims to describe the implementation of the teacher career development program at MAN 2 Model Medan. The focus of this study is the madrasah's efforts to facilitate teachers in aspects of career development in the form of promotions, teacher performance-based promotions, and transfers. This study uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive study method. Data were obtained using participant observation techniques, in-depth and specific interviews, and relevant document studies. Then, the data were analyzed through reduction techniques (data sorting), data presentation, and drawing conclusions. Furthermore, the data is declared valid (valid) after going through the triangulation technique test of sources and methods. The results of this study indicate that the implementation of the teacher career development program at MAN 2 Model Medan has been effective and efficient. This is marked by 3 (three) aspects of the career development program, first, promotion, with the stages of obtaining certificates as needed, continuous professional development (PKB) for teachers, conducting classroom action research (CAR), and submitting rank proposals. Second, performance-based promotion as measured by the level of diligent, disciplined, and teacher dedication to the institution. Third, transfer, which gives teachers the opportunity to continue their studies and transfer to other institutions (such as being a lecturer at UIN North Sumatra Medan, an employee of the North Sumatra Ministry of Religion Regional Office, or the Head of Madrasah).

Abstract

Learning requires media in bridging the messages conveyed by educators to students. One type of media that is commonly used in the learning process at the elementary age stage is big book writing media. This study aims to determine how the effect of using big book writing media on students' writing skills. The background of the research is at MIN Medan Tembung which is located at Jalan Pertiwi Ujung, Medan, North Sumatra. The type of this research is quantitative with Quasi Experiment method. The population of the data is 40 students (class VA and class VB), with a test instrument in the form of essay questions as many as 10 questions (pre-test and post-test). The results of this study found that (1) big book writing media made students interested in participating in the learning process, dared to express opinions, and played an active role during the learning process; and (2) Based on the average post test results, the use of big book media on the ability to write stories has better writing skills. Based on the t statistical test in the post test, it was obtained that tcount > ttable, 2.689> 2.024 (n = 20) with a significant level of 0.05 or 5% which stated that Ha was accepted and Ho was rejected, it can be concluded that the use of big book media in learning has an influence which has a significant effect on the ability to write stories in the Indonesian subject of fifth grade students at MIN Medan Tembung.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisa tampilan politisi perempuan dalam perspektif media massa, juga menganalisa perbedaan peliputan media massa terhadap politisi perempuan dalam perspektif gender di negara full democracy, flawed democracy, hybrid regime, dan authoritarian regime. Untuk mencapai tujuan tersebut, maka penelitian ini didesain menggunakan Meta Analisis Kualitatif dengan pendekatan konstruktivis-interpretif. Data penelitian divalidasi dengan triangulasi data/ sumber dan dianalisis dengan tiga pendekatan yang ada di dalam konsep meta-etnografi. Pengumpulan data dalam penelitian dilakukan dengan menggunakan proses preferred reporting items for systematic reviews and meta-analyses (PRISMA) dari tiga platform pencarian, yaitu Google Scholar, Science Direct dan Perpustakaan digital Perpusnas RI. Penelitian ini menemukan bahwa media massa tradisional dan online menampilkan politisi perempuan dalam perspektif gender yang negatif, baik secara kuantitatif maupun kualitatif yang dikategorikan dalam objektifikasi, setereotip dan patriarki. Politisi perempuan juga dilemahkan oleh media massa dalam liputannya dengan kombinasi isu gender dan isu ras secara simultan. Potret politisi perempuan di negara full democracy, flawed democray, hybrid regime, dan authoritarian regime ditampilkan media massa dalam perspektif yang dominan negatif, dimana di negara full democracy dan flawed democracy dengan persentase negatif yang lebih rendah dibandingkan di negara hybrid regime dan authoritarian regime.

Abstract

To sustain its future competitive employment both at national and international level, Indonesia Government needs to invest more in its human resources. Therefore,  education  is  the  critical aspect to prepare  highly  educated  and  well-trained  human  resources  for  an  innovation  driven global  competitiveness where ideas are needed to be spoken and trained from earlier age. This study aims to analyse the impact of oral presentation in improving students’ speaking ability in a suburb area in Indonesia. The researcher analyzed how controlled speaking task is able to improve students’ speaking ability in English. The data were collected from SMP Al-Islam Krian Sidoarjo since the school mainly represents the condition of the majority junior high school students in the suburb area in term of teaching and learning situation whom mostly shy and reluctant to show their idea off. While this speaking skill is urgently needed. This study shows that the oral presentation technique is able and effective to help English teachers to solve problems of shy and reluctant students find a way to express their idea spoken.

Abstract

The goal of this study was to determine the effect of democratic leadership on the quality of processing higher education institutions (PT) on PGRI-based in East Java. This study employed a correlational quantitative research approach. The population of this study included all leaders of Private Higher Education (PTS) in the LLDIKTI VII East Java area, with a total of 60 samples chosen at random. With a 95 percent confidence level, the maximum error rate considered in this study was 5%. Based on the SPSS 26 test results, it was known that the instrument of democratic leadership style (X) and improving the quality of PT management (Y) was declared 'valid' with a calculated r value (X) of 0.758 and (Y) of 0.798 (with a r table value of 0.308). Cronbach Alpha values of 0.811 (X) and 0.856 (Y) indicated high reliability. The results of hypothesis testing (I) obtained the regression equation, namely Y = -2.765 + 0.225X, and the results of hypothesis testing (2) obtained t arithmetic (1.341) > t table (1.256) and a significance value of 0.02 > 0.05, so it can be concluded that Ha is accepted, which means that the democratic leadership style variable has a significant influence (there is still a low category influence relationship) on the quality of management of PGRI-based universities in East Java.

Abstract

Tulisan ini berfungsi untuk menelaah pemikiran dari ahli filsfuf yang terkemuka tentang konsep pendidikan Islam. Adapun tokoh yang diteliti adalah Ibnu Sina dan Ibnu Khaldun. Keduanya merupakan salah satu ahli yang berpengarah dalam pendidikan Islam. Pendekatan yang digunakan dalam tulisan merupakan penelitian kualititatif yang berjenis studi pustaka. Sumber data berasal dari buku literature dan artikel yang berkaitan dengan bidang pendidikan Islam, terutama buku Muqaddimah dan Kitab Assifa’. Penggunaan manual dan digital menjadi teknik dalam pengumpulan data. Kemudian data-data display sampai dengan direduksi menjadi data utuh yang baru. Setelah menjadi data yang utuh, dianalisis dan dituangkan dengan mengedepankan intertektualitas dan creativity meaning. Hasil penelitian memberikan bahwa dalam aspek tujuan pendidikan Islam, Ibnu Khaldun dan Ibnu Sina memiliki pandangan yang sama yaitu; 1) Guna membentuk Insan Kamil, 2) Guru harus memiliki model dan pendekatan dalam mengajar, 3) Penggunaan teknik yang sesuai ilmu yang ingin diajarkan, 4) Ilmu harus diimplementasikan sesuai kegunaannya. Sedangkan dalam (kurikulum, mapel, metode, pendidik, anak didik dan tingkatan pendidikan) terdapat perbedaan. Namun memiliki tujuan yang sama, walau berbeda pandangan dalam teori

Abstract

Through the educational formal, students are expected to experience changing positive vibes. Nevertheless, many factors appeared in the process of learning. One of them is learning motivation. Following the researcher, salient factors are peer social support and students’ perceptions of teachers’ pedagogic with learning motivation. For that, the research interested to do the research. The study aimed to investigate the correlation between peer social support and students’ perception of teachers’ pedagogic with learning motivation. The statistical technique to test a hypothesis with multiple regression. The result of the analysis is proven that there was a positive correlation between peer social support and students’ perceptions on teachers’ pedagogic with learning motivation which showed that value  = .497; p= 0,000. There was a significant positive relationship between peer social support with learning motivation (r=0.527; F=57.66; p<0,01), and there was a positive significance between students’ perceptions of teacher’s pedagogic with learning motivation  (r=0,469; F=36,639; p=0,000 or p<0,01), with the effective contribution independent variable peer social support and students’ perceptions on teacher’s pedagogic with learning motivation of 27.8%. The conclusion of this research showed that there was a positive correlation between peer social support and students’ perceptions of teachers' pedagogic with learning motivation. There was a positive correlation between peer social support and students’ perceptions of teacher’s pedagogic with the learning motivation, and there was a positive significance between students’ perceptions of teacher’s pedagogic with learning motivation.Keywords: Peer Social Support, Students’ perceptions on teacher’s pedagogic, Learning motivation.  Melalui pendidikan formal, peserta didik diharapkan mengalami perubahan yang lebih positif. Namun demikian, akan ada banyak faktor yang muncul dalam proses pembelajaran. Salah satunya yaitu motivasi belajar. Menurut peneliti faktor yang dominan adalah dukungan sosial teman sebaya dan persepsi siswa terhadap cara mengajar guru. Untuk itulah peneliti tertarik untuk membuktikannya lebih lanjut. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui ada korelasi dukungan sosial teman sebaya dan persepsi siswa terhadap cara mengajar guru dengan motivasi belajar. Teknik statistik untuk menguji hipotesis dengan mengunakan regresi ganda. Hasil analisis data terbukti bahwa ada hubungan positif yang signifikan antara dukungan sosial teman sebaya dan persepsi siswa terhadap cara mengajar guru dengan motivasi belajar yang  ditunjukkan oleh nilai r= 0.497; p= 0,000. Ada hubungan positif yang signifikan antara dukungan sosial teman sebaya dengan motivasi belajar (r=0.527; F=57.66; p<0,01), dan ada hubungan positif yang signifikan antara persepsi siswa terhadap cara mengajar guru dengan motivasi belajar (r=0,469; F=36,639; p=0,000 atau p<0,01), dengan sumbangan efektif variabel bebas dukungan sosial teman sebaya dan persepsi siswa terhadap cara mengajar guru sebesar 27,8%. Adapun kesimpulan penelitian Ada hubungan positif yang signifikan antara dukungan sosial teman sebaya dan persepsi siswa terhadap cara mengajar guru dengan motivasi belajar. Abstract

Increased capacity building for madrasahs needs to be done in order to solve problems and develop the potential of madrasas to improve the quality of madrasas in Kulon Progo Yogyakarta. There are two private Tsanawiyah Madrassas that is almost less in demand by the public even though they are in the middle of an Islamic society. The problem is the strength of the Muslim community's interest in the Tsanawiyah Madrasa and the relation between potential and quality in the Tsanawiyah Madrasa. This study uses descriptive qualitative methods. The purpose of this research is to help solve the problems that occur in the madrasa, as well as develop the potential of madrasas through capacity building in the form of creative economic empowerment, and unravel the problems in terms of quality management. Its data collection techniques are through observation, interviews, and documentation studies. Data retrieval techniques are carried out by snowball sampling techniques. The results of this study are in the form of solving problems with managerial steps carried out by the head of the madrasa. Empirical solutions in the form of strengthening the field of Tahfidz, Batik skills education, waste management into goods of creative economy value, as well as providing assistance with batik skills tools, as well as the pioneering boarding school. This effort is able to increase the existence of the Tsansawiyah madrassa. Abstract

Environmental problems are still the subject of discussion today because the state of the environment over time continues to decline, both in terms of quality and quantity in supporting human life. This research is a type of field research. The approach in this study uses a phenomenological approach. The data sources for this research are person, place, and paper. Data collection techniques using interviews, observation, and documentation. While the data analysis technique used data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The results showed that the Islamic religious education model with an environmental perspective at SMA N 2 Demak uses the 2013 curriculum which is integrated with environmental education. In integrating into Islamic religious education subjects, more emphasis is placed on aspects of the Qur'an, hadith, and fiqh.

Abstract

Penelitian ini ingin mengetahui prinsip-prinp pendidikan anak usia dini dalam Al-Qur’an. Sifat penelitian ini adalah penelitian kepustakaan (library research), yaitu penelitian buku-buku literatur yang berkaitan dengan topik yang dibahas. Adapun sumber data pada penelitian ini adalah Al-Qur’an, hadits, karya-karya tentang prinsip-prinsip pendidikan anak usia dini dalam Al-Qur’an, kitab-kitab tafsir dan hadits. Pendidikan anak usia dini dalam Islam merupakan proses mempersiapkan anak untuk memasuki masa mumayyiz sehingga ia dapat membedakan baik dan buruk sesuai dengan ajaran Tuhannya. Inilah yang menjadi karakteristik pendidikan anak usia dini dalam Islam. Mempersiapkan anak menjadi hamba yang  senantiasa taat pada aturannya dan menjadi khalifah Allah di Bumi. Adapun  prinsip-prinsip pendidikan anak usia dini yang diisyaratkan Al-Qur’an yaitu; PAUD berorientasi pada fitrah anak, dirancang berdasarkan fase perkembangan, berorientasi pada tingkat berfikir anak, dan pengetahuan anak dibangun secara aktif, Al-Qur’an dan ayat kauniyah menjadi sumber belajar dan integrasi sekolah dan keluarga
