Abstract

Crowdfunding is a collective fundraising process where a large number of people contribute funds to support a specific project, product, service, or cause. It utilizes digital platforms to connect fundraisers with funders, enabling the collection and distribution of funds in line with the advancements of the Industry 4.0 era. In particular, crowdfunding for natural disasters has proven to be an effective tool for raising funds to support post-disaster recovery efforts through social initiatives. This innovative approach has shifted societal behavior from being primarily consumptive to more productive, making it easier for donors to connect with meaningful and noble causes. Indonesia ranks as the most generous country in the 2024 World Giving Index, highlighting its strong culture of giving. This research aims to analyze whether crowdfunding can serve as an alternative funding mechanism for property development in disaster management and to identify its opportunities as an innovative and inclusive funding solution. The research methodology includes descriptive and literature studies. The findings conclude that crowdfunding holds significant potential as a social financing alternative for property development in disaster-affected areas. Moreover, it provides a platform for community engagement, enabling active participation in the post-disaster rehabilitation and reconstruction process through crowdfunding schemes.

Abstract

Students in a study program within the faculty are important stakeholders in higher education. The continuity and efficiency of teaching and learning activities depend significantly on the number of students in a study program. The Faculty of Information Technology at Tarumanagara University currently offers two study programs: Informatics Engineering and Information Systems. While Tarumanagara University already has a system for managing student data, it requires further development to remain competitive with other universities, particularly those offering information technology programs. The existing system provides only basic information, such as whether the number of students this year has increased or decreased compared to the previous year. However, it lacks the ability to deliver a comprehensive overview of student data. To address this limitation, a monitoring system is needed to provide more accurate and systematic information. This system will be visualized in the form of a dashboard, offering insights into trends such as the number of students, their school origins, gender distribution, and address/region of origin. The dashboard design is based on the waterfall model of the software development life cycle (SDLC) and is developed using Power BI Desktop.

Abstract

Archival management is of significant importance in institutions, requiring proper maintenance and organization of activity records. The Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs (Kemenko Perekonomian), as a government body, is responsible for coordination, synchronization, and control in the economic sector. Its coordination activities include inter-ministerial meetings aimed at formulating strategic policies and actions in the economic field. The Secretariat Division is tasked with facilitating these coordination meetings. The coordination meeting process involves preparing several key components, such as meeting invitations, materials, and documentation, including participant lists, recordings, minutes, and transcripts. Currently, the archiving of meeting documents is fragmented across various sub-sections within the Secretariat Division, leading to inefficiencies in document management. Furthermore, the absence of a centralized system to accommodate all coordination meeting records makes document monitoring challenging. To address these issues, an application has been designed to store meeting documents in a unified database, enabling more efficient document management, integration, and monitoring. The development of this application utilizes the waterfall model with UML diagram modeling. This application is expected to enhance document management processes within the Secretariat Division and provide greater convenience for users.

Abstract

A sustainable economic approach involves achieving economic growth while preserving the environment. One solution aligned with green economy initiatives is the Solar Power Plant (PLTS), which utilizes sunlight as the primary energy source to generate electricity. In response to increasing energy demand and growing environmental concerns, a spare parts supply company in Karawang, West Java, has decided to adopt hybrid energy by investing in renewable energy sources through the installation of an on-grid Solar Power Plant (PLTS) on the factory roof. This study aims to evaluate the financial feasibility of this green economic initiative. The analysis considers various aspects, including initial investment costs, operational and maintenance expenses for key components (solar modules and inverters), potential savings in electricity costs, and the projected return on investment over a specific period. The financial analysis methods applied include Net Present Value (NPV), Internal Rate of Return (IRR), Payback Period (DPP), and Profitability Index (PI) to determine the project's economic viability. The findings indicate that the DPP is 2.43 years (well below the 25-year lifespan), NPV is Rp 1,433,144,387.92 (positive and greater than 1), IRR is 46.31% (exceeding the 5.75% benchmark), and PI is 1.95 (greater than 1). Based on these results, it can be concluded that the construction of a rooftop solar power plant with an on-grid system is a financially viable investment for the spare parts supply company in Karawang, West Java.

Abstract

The industrial revolution 4.0 has expanded business and economic transactions beyond the domestic sphere, fostering interactions between countries. This shift necessitates business entities that can facilitate seamless international transactions. Freight forwarding, as a key player in the logistics sector, plays a crucial role in enabling the movement of goods and services across international borders. However, freight forwarding companies face challenges from fluctuations in foreign exchange rates due to transactions involving suppliers and consumers from various countries, making them vulnerable to currency exchange rate volatility. This paper aims to understand the financial business processes of freight forwarding companies, particularly in managing financial risks and addressing currency exchange rate fluctuations. Additionally, it seeks to explore strategies to minimize the negative impact of exchange rate fluctuations on the financial stability of these companies. The research methodology is descriptive, employing surveys and interviews with freight forwarding companies and stakeholders in the logistics industry. Data triangulation with relevant agencies ensures more valid and comprehensive insights into how the industry addresses currency exchange rate challenges. The findings suggest that freight forwarding companies can mitigate losses from exchange rate fluctuations by implementing hedging strategies and adopting supply chain finance practices on an ongoing basis.

Abstract

The transfer of receivables by cessie is an agreement involving the lender (creditor) and the recipient of the receivables (debtor). This agreement entails the process of transferring the right to claim receivables from the lender to the recipient, usually a bank or other financial institution. The main focus of this study is to analyze the impact of cessie transfers of receivables on the guarantee of security rights (dependent rights). This study examines the legal consequences and changes in the relationship between lenders, debtors, and parties involved in the guarantee of dependent rights. Through a review of legal regulations and case precedents, this study identifies how cessie transfers of receivables can affect the status and priority of dependent rights. The results show that the transfer of receivables through cessie can impact the position and priority of security rights. In some cases, the transfer of receivables can alter the relative position of the debtor in relation to the party holding the dependent rights. Therefore, effective coordination between all parties involved in the transaction is necessary to prevent ambiguities regarding rights and responsibilities. This study provides in-depth insights into the legal complexities associated with cessie transfers of receivables and their implications for security rights. The findings can be utilized by legal practitioners, financial institutions, and parties involved in credit transactions to better understand and manage the risks associated with the transfer of receivables and the protection of security rights.
