So it will make their quality life going decrease, it can be proved by weight loss and weight gain in edema patients. Objective: This Study aimed to know a corellation between the pursuance of diet pattern of end stage renaldisease with patient life quality in Hemodialisa Unit of RSUD Panembahan Senopati Bantul . Methods:This study used analysis descriptive with Cross Sectional design approach. The sample was taken with Consecutive Sampling. It means that 104 patients of end stage renal disease who are under going hemodialysis treatment in RSUD Panembahan Senopati Bantul were involved. Result: Most of the patients who are under going hemodialysis therapyobey in implementing the diet program of end stage renal disease. Abstract

Background: Statistical data of 2008 in Indonesia showed from 43,3 million adolescents aged 15-24 years of unhealthy behavior, teenage Indonesia from 23 million aged 15-24 years, 83,3% had had sexual intercourse. Negative behavior patterns and risk of adolescent reproductive health will have an impact on their future, so it requires a special education discuss reproductive health. Audiovisual media and the leaflet is a medium that can be used in the delivery of reproductive health education information. Preliminary study of the 5 people from 216 students in grade VII showed that students did not know about health reproductive. Objectives: This study aims to determine the ratio of health ducation via media audio visual and leaflets to students' knowledge about health reproductive adolescent in SMP Negeri 2 Ampel Boyolali. Methods: The method in this study was quasi-experimental (quasi experiment) and the use of design Non Equivalent Pre-Post Design. Samples were taken by technique proportional random sampling is a class VII student at SMPl 2 Ampel Boyolali much as 140 people. The instruments of the study questionnaire and test results were analyzed with Wilcoxon Signed Ranks Test and the Kolmogorov- Smirnow. Results: Knowledge of students' prior education health was reproductive adolescent in the SMP Negeri 2 Ampel Boyolali largely lacking as many as 71 students (50,7%). Knowledge students' after the adolescent reproductive health education in SMP 2 Ampel Boyolali well as most of the 72 students (51,4%). The results test Wilcoxon Signed Ranks Test via the media leaflet obtained p-value 0,000 < 0,05 there are 55 students to increase knowledge. While the media audio visual obtained through p-value 0,000 < 0,05 there are 39 students have increased knowledge. The results test Kolomogorov Smirnov obtained p-value 0,020 < 0,05. Abstract

Background: Diabetes Mellitus (DM) is a degenerative disease that is often not identified until its complications arise. It is also known that DM is a chronic disease that cannot be cured because one of  the precipitating factors of hyperglycemia in patients who have Type 2 DM is emotional distress.  Therefore continuous treatment to control hyperglycemia should be identified. Progressive muscle relaxation technique is one of complementary therapies which works by decreasing the muscle tone to enhance patient?s relaxation state. Objective: To identify the effect of progressive muscle relaxation techniques on blood sugar in patients who have type 2 DM. Methods: The study used a quasy-experimental research design. 12 participants who met the inclusion criteria were recruited. Paired sample t-tests with p<0.05 was used to investigate the mean difference of blood sugar level before and after intervention. Result: The decreased of blood sugar levels in patients who got the intervention  (p= 0,00)  is  higher  than when there is no intervention progressive muscle relaxation technique (p= 0,00). Conclusion: Progressive muscle relaxation technique is effective to decrease blood sugar level of type 2 DM patients. Key words: Diabetes Mellitus, progressive muscle relaxation technique, complementary therapy.

Abstract

Background: Preoperative patients can be experience an anxiety. Anxiety can be expressed through physiological changes that will be known by a change in the sympathetic response which some of them are increased in heart rate and blood pressure. Preliminary study results shows 4 of 6 patients got an increase in anxiety with signs of increased in blood pressure and pulse. Hypno relaxation is a complementary therapy for anxiety, while in the hypnotic state, most people will be experience relaxation, decrease blood pressure, and pulse. Objective: Determine the influence of hypno relaxation to the blood pressure and pulse in patients with preoperative fracture in RSUD Bantul. Methods: This study is a quassy experiment with design of the study is pre-test and post-test non equivalent control group. Samples were taken using purposive sampling techniques amounted to 24 respondents. 12 people was on control group and 12 was on intervention group. Research instrument which used was a record of hypno relaxation stages, the mercury sphygmomanometer and stethoscope. The results were analyzed using Independent Samples t-test and Paired Samples t-test. Results: The results of the equal measurement in blood pressure and pulse in the pre and post test control group are 1.17 x / min and 0.5 mmHg, which showed an increase. Whereas in the intervention group difference in equal blood pressure and pulse are 7.00 mmHg and 6.25 x / min, which showed a decrease. Statistic result using independent t-test got (p) value 0.000 <0.05 with t -7,257 for blood pressure and t -8,888 for pulse, and can be concluded that there is a significant difference in the mean value of pulse and blood pressure between the control group and intervention group of hypno relaxation. On the statistic test using Paired t-test got (p) value 0.000 <0.05 in the intervention group, it means that hypno relaxation can be influence the pulse and blood pressure significantly. Conclusion: Hypno relaxation have an effects on blood pressure and pulse on the preoperative patient's with fracture in RSUD Bantul. Keywords: Blood pressure, pulse, preoperative, fracture, and hypno relaxation.

Abstract

Background : Exclusive breastfeeding is recommended based on the evidence of the benefits and proper nutrients for the baby. Phototherapy is done for the treatment of hyperbilirubinemia in infants with several side effects such as: increased temperature, increased insensible water loss, and a separate room will increase a risk fordisanting exclusive breastfeeding. Objective : This study aimed for identifying the correlation between phototherapy and continuity of exclusive breastfeeding at Perinatology room of Wates Hospital Propinsi Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta 2012. Method : This was a prospective cohort study that was conducted from 1st December until 31 December 2012. Sixty eight hospitalized babies at a neonatology ward were involved in this study. Using a purposive sampling method, 34 babies receiving photothetapy were assigned into the treatment group and 34 babies were assigned into control group. The breastfeeding continuity was measured using a valid and reliable observational checklist which was constructed by the researcher. Result : There was no correlation between phototherapy with continuation of exclusive breastfeeding (p = 0.27) Conclusion and suggestion : Phototherapy treatment did not interrupt continuityof breastfeeding. Based on this study, we strongly recommend that during the phototherapy treatment affecting on separation between mothers and baby, the breastfeeding continuity needs to be concerned.
