Abstract

The electrical protection system is designed with the aim of preventing or reducing damage due to interference on equipment that is traversed by short circuit currents, in addition, with a protection system, the undisturbed area can be minimized as small as possible. In a house, a Miniature Circuit Breaker (MCB) is usually used as a means of protection to break the short circuit current that occurs. However, an MCB has limitations including it cannot be controlled from a certain distance, so if the MCB is to reconnect after it has worked, the user must raise the lever manually. The purpose of this research is to make an electrical protection device for household use that can be controlled and monitored remotely. This system is built using the esp module. 8266, pzem-004t sensor and solid state relay by utilizing the telegram application as control and notification. The test results show that the values ​​of current and voltage as well as electrical power can be displayed by smartphone users via the telegram application by using certain commands according to what has been programmed.

Abstract

The IEEE 802.15.4 protocol defines the medium access control layer of Zigbee, a widely implemented WSN technology. This protocol implements both the guaranteed time slot (GTS) scheme, where note request for slot(s) to transmit their packets collision-free and the contention-based scheme where nodes randomly draw a back-off counter to win channel access. This paper analyzes the performance of both schemes in WSNs when an event is detected and the packet arrival rate of the network increases using packet delivery ratio(PDR), network throughput and packet latency as the quality of service parameters. We consider various network densities (4, 9 and 16 nodes within a common transmission range). Simulations using Castalia 3.2 shows the GTS scheme has better PDR and latency than the contention-based scheme in the 4 and 9 nodes network. However, in a dense network (16 nodes), when the packet arrival rate increases, the contention-based scheme outperforms the GTS scheme.

Abstract

The increase in population impacts the limited land for growing crops since it establishes residential areas. The Organic plants for human consumption also increase following population growth. A microgreen is one of some techniques in agriculture to overcome this problem. In this research, a monitor and control system was constructed for microgreen cultivation and integrated into a website through an internet connection. This system uses a DHT11 sensor as a temperature and humidity sensor in the plant environment, a soil moisture sensor as a plant media humidity sensor, and RTC DS3231 as time control. The sensor output should be processed by the Arduino Mega 2560 microcontroller and forwarded to the actuators automatically. This prototype will be able to reduce the air temperature by 3.65 ºC and maintain the humidity of the growing media to 43%. The outcome of this prototype showed that it could increase the growth of microgreens 8 cm long in 14 days.

Abstract

This study modeled the interference between the Lora system signal in the AS2 frequency band and a non-Lora radio signal. Two Lora devices operate on uplink and downlink at a frequency of 923.2MHz to send and receive data on the bandwidth of 125KHz, 250KHz, and 500KHz. The interference generator device is composed of a single board computer installed by the RPITX application. In addition, there is a GNU-Radio application to monitor data and signal transmission levels. Signal quality tests (RSSI, SNR, and time-on-air(ToA)) were carried out under line-of-sight (LOS) conditions and used reference distances of 1m and 4m. The ToA test shows that the greater the bandwidth, the smaller the ToA value, while the change in distance does not affect the ToA. The RSSI test shows that the change in distance affects the RSSI value more significantly than the change in bandwidth. The presence of an interference signal does not significantly affect the RSSI value. SNR testing shows that the greater the bandwidth, the smaller the SNR and significantly decreases when interference occurs.

Abstract

All operational activities at the El Tari Kupang airport in meeting their electricity needs are obtained from the electricity supply from PLN. Fulfilling the electricity needs in the airport building is expected to be able to serve lighting loads, motor loads and other loads without any disturbance. The existence of disturbances such as short circuits in the electric power system can cause problems such as damage to electrical equipment and the emergence of power outages. Therefore, problems that arise like this require an analytical study to determine the short-circuit current that will occur while reducing the consequences. The purpose of this study is to determine the magnitude of the short-circuit fault current and determine the severing capacity of a power breaker in protecting the short-circuit fault current, in the event of a short-circuit fault in the low-voltage panel. Short circuit simulation results with ETAP 12.6.0 will be compared with manual calculations based on positive, negative and zero sequence impedance values from the fault location point. The results of this study note that the smallest short-circuit fault current is a 1-phase short-circuit fault to ground, with a fault current of 4.82 kA on the Switchgear 2 bus. The largest short-circuit fault current is a 3-phase short-circuit fault, with a fault current of 9 .45 kA on Switchgear 1&2 buses. Determination of the power breaker capacity on the low-voltage panel, the results of the circuit breaker (CB) breaking capacity on Bus Switchgear 1 the breaking capacity value is 10,875 kA, on Bus Switchgear 2 the breaking capacity value is 8.67 kA and on Bus Switchgear 1 & 2 the value its breaking capacity is 14,175 kA.

Abstract

This study aims to develop learning media through digital radio. The research phase is divided into three parts, namely frequency planning, digital radio module development via the RPITX module, implementation, and testing. The system has a database and has a web-based user interface to make it easier for administrators to manage learning content. This system can run in two transmission modes, namely WBFM and NBFM.

Abstract

Lampu lalu lintas atau traffic light sangat berperan penting mencegah terjadinya kemacetan setiap persimpangan jalan, terutama pada simpang tiga maupun simpang empat. Saat ini pengaturan nyala lampu lalu lintas yang biasa digunakan adalah dengan pengaturan durasi lampu dengan waktu yang tetap. Pengaturan ini berlaku disepanjang hari, walaupun tingkat kepadatan kendaraan tidak sama di setiap persimpangan. Hal inilah yang kemudian sering membuat kemacetan di satu sisi persimpangan menjadi tak terhindarkan. Berdasarkan masalah tersebut, maka pada penelitian ini di rancanglah suatu sistem pengaturan traffic light yang adaptif menggunakan PLC Omron. Pada pengujian ini, durasi lampu kuning dan hijau diatur sekitar 3 detik dan 5 detik. Sedangkan pada saat kondisi padat, maka durasi lampu hijau diatur menjadi 10 detik. Setelah melakukan pengujian, diketahui bahwa, pada saat sensor traffic light mendeteksi adanya kemacetan, maka lampu hijau menyala akan selama 10 detik, sedangkan pada saat kondisi normal maka lampu hijau akan menyala selama 5 detik

Abstract

Indonesia Comnets Plus (ICON+) merupakan anak perusahaan PT PLN (Persero), bergerak di bidang penyelenggara jaringan dan jasa telekomunikasi dengan tujuan mengoptimalkan pemanfaatan infrastruktur jaringan kelistrikkan untuk telekomunikasi, yang akhirnya berkembang menjadi penyedia layanan utama jaringan telekomunikasi dengan tingkat availability dan reliability yang konsisten bagi PT PLN maupun masyarakat. Penelitian ini akan dilakukan di wilayah Liliba. Pada penelitian ini dilakukan pengukuran menggunakan simulator OptiSystem dan perhitungan menggunakan Metode Power Link Budget unttuk mendapatkan hasil evaluasi pengukuran dan perhitungan sudah layak sesuai dengan standard pemasangan jaringan baru. Hasil penelitian pada tiga ODC/FDT dan masing-masing ODC diukur pada lima ODP/FAT menunjukkan bahwa jaringan serat optik wilayah ini dengan kategori baik dan sesuai dengan standard. Kata Kunci: Serat Optik, OptiSystem dan Power Link Budget.

Abstract

The procurement electricity increases every year, therefore concept distributed generation is used. To maintain the quality of distribution is used a good Over Current Relay (OCR) setting to overcome Short Circuit in an IEEE Modified 7 Bus Electric Power system. Relay settings used 2 calculations are manual calculations and ANN method. Adaptive relay calculations distributed generation system are divided 4 conditions. The ANN method is used to see the error value coordinate. The results calculations using the ANN method obtained MSE value 3,91e-14. Total TDS and IPickup results in condition 1 are 1,355328s and 38,6715, in condition 2 are 1,199314s and 35,5915, in condition 3 are 1,30228s and 27,1915 and in condition 4 are 1,17221s and 24,304. While the results ANN method in condition 1 are 1,355349s and 38,671495, in condition 2 are 1,199338s and 35,591495, in condition 3 are 1,302281s and 27,191494 and in condition 4 are 1,172241s and 24,303997. The results of relay coordination in accordance with the design in conditions 1 and 2. Conditions 3 and 4 with the location fault on Bus 2 Backup relay R3 is replaced with R6, this occurs due to a change in the direction of the fault current in the system.

Abstract

This research aims to develop a system that integrates the IEEE 802.11 network and LoRa WAN in developing a wireless sensor network (WSN) in an area without public communication infrastructure. The sensor nodes were developed using ESP 8266 Node MCU with embedded IEEE 802.11 module and the sink was developed using Raspberry Pi minicomputer with LoRa module. The frames sent by sensor nodes were classified into regular data and critical data. The sensing data is forwarded by the sink to the nearest location with internet access using LoRaWAN according to their priority. Each node sent its regular frames with an interarrival time that varies from 30 seconds to 3 minutes and critical frames with an interarrival time of 1 to 5 seconds. The result shows that the delay of the network sending solely regular frames varies from 16.4 s to 602 and the delay of the network sending solely critical frames varies from 0.32 t0 1 s. When some nodes in the network send the regular frames and the other nodes send the critical frames, the delay of the regular frames drops to 1.25-1.75 s. The packet delivery rate of the system is 100%.
