Abstract

The aim of this research is to analyze programs, policies, implementation, monitoring and evaluation, influencing factors as well as obstacles and solutions and madrasa heads in managing the quality of educators in the Madrasah Aliyah Al-Washliyah Gading, Tanjungbalai City. The method used is qualitative with a phenomenological approach. The data sources were obtained from five people as informants, using interview techniques, observation and documentation studies. The results of research at the Al-Washliyah Gading Private Madrasah, Tanjungbalai City, show that the madrasa head's program for the quality of educators is RPP training, the yellow book learning method based on student activity, and teacher comparative studies. The implementation of the teacher quality development program has been carried out well through the implementation of management functions, as well as the supervision and evaluation of madrasah heads has gone well through class supervision and teacher work evaluation at the end of the semester. Supporting factors for madrasah heads to manage the quality of educators are time management, funds, facilities, teacher motivation and community demands. Meanwhile, the obstacles for madrasa heads in managing the quality of educators are limited funds and lack of discipline among educators. The madrasa head's solution for managing the quality of educators is cooperation and communicating well regarding the quality of educators, namely motivating educators and expanding relationships

Abstract

Al-Jam'iyatul Al Washliyah is an Islamic educational institution in Indonesia that was founded in 1952 in Medan, North Sumatra. This institution was founded by Haji Mohd Arsyad Al Banjari to spread Islamic teachings and strengthen Muslim identity in Indonesia. Al-Jam'iyatul Al Washliyah has several branches in various regions in Indonesia. Through field study with phenomenological research, Al Washliyah was founded during the Dutch colonial period to unite Muslims and fight for Indonesian independence. They have a high commitment to education, establishing schools, and madrasas, and forming the Education, Teaching and Culture Council. This research will focus on the dynamics of the Al-Washliyah educational institution in the past, present, and future so that it can show the results of intellectual exploration among Islamic scholars (Ulama) and intellectuals regarding the dynamics of Islamic education in the classical and contemporary periods in Indonesia. This research is limited to the development of the Al Jam’iyatul Washliyah Educational Institution in North Sumatra, from 2016 to 2022 in 3 Districts/Cities and history by focusing on their Ideology, Educational Typology, and Problems.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the strategy of the madrasah principal in empowering the community to improve the quality of the madrasah, the role and cooperation of the madrasah principal with the committee in improving the quality of education and the empowerment of the Madrasah Committee in improving the quality of education at the Private Junior High School of the Sei Islamic Education Foundation. Tualang Raso, Tanjungbalai City. The method used in this study is a qualitative method. The technique used in analyzing the data is to record data from interviews and observations. The findings of the study illustrate that the empowerment of the madrasah committee, especially in relation to improving the quality of madrasah education, has not taken place as expected, the empowerment efforts are only temporary, and the cooperative relationship between the madrasah principal and the committee is going well, meaning that there are no problems that arise so that both have a harmonious relationship and the School Committee is an independent body and does not have a hierarchical relationship with schools or other government institutions. Supporting factors in efforts to empower the madrasah committee in improving the quality of education are carried out by the madrasah principal by maximizing the functions and duties of the committee at school.

Abstract

This research aims to reveal the role of the committee at the Private Madrasah Aliyah Al Washliyah Aekknopan Kualuh Hulu North Labuhanbatu, the Madrasah Head's Program in empowering the committee at the Private Madrasah Aliyah Al Washliyah Aekknopan Kualuh Hulu North Labuhanbatu, Factors that influence the Head of the Madrasah in empowering the committee at Madrasah Aliyah Private Al Washliyah Aekknopan Kualuh Hulu North Labuhanbatu, the obstacles that the Madrasah Head feels in empowering the committee at the Al Washliyah Private Madrasah Aekknopan Kualuh Hulu North Labuhanbatu, and what solutions are provided by the Madrasah Head facing obstacles in empowering the Committee at the Private Al Washliyah Aekknopan Kualuh Aliyah Madrasah Upstream of North Labuhanbatu. This research uses a qualitative type of research, with a phenomenological approach, using data collection techniques in the form of observation, interviews and documentation studies. The results of this research revealed five findings, namely that the role of the committee at the Al Washliyah Aekknopan Kualuh Hulu Private Madrasah, North Labuhanbatu was not good enough because the Committee only waited for instructions from the madrasah, the program carried out by the Head of the Al Washliyah Aekknopan Kualuh Hulu Private Madrasah, North Labuhanbatu was sufficient. good, the influencing factors are the madrasah's need for a committee in accordance with existing regulations, and the opportunity to empower the committee, the obstacle for the Madrasah Head in empowering the Committee is because each party is busy and the Madrasah Committee does not provide their program because they are just waiting for instructions from the madrasah, and the solution to empowering the Committee is for each party to spend their time.

Abstract

This study's objective is to explore the role of school library management in enhancing students' academic performance and to identify the barriers to effective library management. It adopts a qualitative research approach, utilizing a case study design. Data was collected through interviews, observations, and document analysis. Data analysis involved three main stages: data reduction, presentation, and drawing conclusions. The findings reveal a lack of professional library management at elementary school Demakan 02 due to the absence of qualified librarians, which has led to the library operating in an ad-hoc manner.

Abstract

This research aims to describe the supervision management of madrasah principals in increasing teacher professionalism at MIS IT Raudhotul Qurro. This study used qualitative research methods. Data collection in this research was carried out using observation techniques, interviews and documentation studies. The aim of this research is to determine the supervision techniques of madrasa heads, models of supervision of madrasa heads, and evaluation of supervision of madrasa heads at MIS IT Raudhotul Qurro. The findings of this research are that supervision techniques for madrasah heads are carried out using individual techniques and group techniques. Individual techniques are carried out by visiting classes, making observations, guiding teachers to overcome problems faced by students.

Abstract

The background of this program evaluation is the urgent of learning loss due to Covid-19 which calls for learning to be carried out online. By this Alur Merdeka Program, it is hoped that it will be an escalation/improvement of scientific literacy in natural science practicum courses for PGSD FKIP UMSU students. The evaluation method for the Merdeka flow program in scientific literacy escalation and the evaluation results of the implementation of the Merdeka flow evaluation program in scientific literacy escalation in the Science practicum course at PGSD FKIP UMSU in terms of context, input, process, and product. The results of this study are that at the content evaluation stage an analysis of the needs of students, lecturers and learning outcomes is carried out. In the input evaluation step, the validation stage was carried out which resulted in 96.7% of the material being declared valid, 89.3% of the design being declared valid, and 84% of the language being declared valid in the development of learning tools. In the process evaluation step it was stated that in the application of the independent groove there was a change in each of the students' scientific literacy indicators in using the independent groove. students' scientific literacy in channel 1 has increased compared to pre-stream. Where in explaining the phenomenon there is an increase from an average of 75.4 to 89.23. The indicators evaluating and designing scientific investigations increased from 78.6 to 90 and the indicators interpreting data increased from an average of 75 to 91. Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini untuk menganalisa bagaimana pelaksanaan, perencanaan dan pengawasan kepala sekolah dalam meningkatkan kinerja guru di Sekolah Menengah Pertama (SMP) Negeri 5 Tanjungbalai. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode kualitatif, dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui wawancara, observasi, dan studi dokumen. Hasil temuan menunjukkan bahwa Perencanaan kepala sekolah dalam meningkatkan kinerja guru di sekolah sudah dibuat dalam perencanaan jangka panjang, menengah, jangka pendek dan melibatkan semua stakeholders menyusun rencana kerja sekolah. Pelaksanaan perencanaan kepala sekolah dalam meningkatkan kinerja guru berjalan sebagaimana mestinya, hal ini bisa dilihat dari kepemimpinan dan motivasi yang diberikan oleh kepala sekolah. Sarana dan prasarana yang cukup memadai, sedangkan Pengawasan kepala sekolah dalam meningkatkan kinerja guru sudah berjalan dan maksimal. Pemberian sanksi yang berat tidak diterapkan karena pertimbangan kemanusiaan dan kesejahteraan yang diterima guru. Pengawasan yang dilakukan kepala sekolah adalah pengawasan rutin terhadap semua kegiatan di Sekolah Menengah Pertama (SMP) Negeri 5 Tanjungbalai.

Abstract

Based on the identification of several problems, namely: 1) there are still teachers who are not good at pedagogical competence, such as teachers who are still not good at designing daily learning program planning (RPPH), making learning media, 2) there are still teachers who are not good at emotional intelligence, such as teachers are not good at motivating themselves, that is they are still not good at using their deepest desire to move and guide towards the goals to be achieved, 3) there are still teachers who are not good at preparing lesson plans, implementing learning and evaluating learning which will affect teacher performance. From the identification of the problem, the formulation of the problem can be drawn, namely: 1) Does competence partially affect the performance of Raudhatul Athfal's teachers in Simalungun Regency?; 2) Does emotional intelligence partially affect the performance of teacher Raudhatul Athfal in Simalungun Regency; 3) Does competence and emotional intelligence simultaneously affect the performance of Raudhatul Athfal's teachers in Simalungun Regency? This research is quantitative with the help of the SPSS application. The method used in this study is a survey method with correlational analysis techniques. This study aims to analyze, test, and determine the effect of competency and emotional intelligence variables, partially and simultaneously on the performance of Raudhatul Athfal's teachers in Simalungun Regency. The results of the study show that competence has a partial effect on teacher performance. It can be seen from multiple linear regression analysis through the t-test that the competence variable has a Tcount of 4.893 while Ttable is 1.694 (Tcount 4.893 > Ttable 1.694) with a significant level of 0.000 <0.05, meaning that there is a significant influence between competence on teacher performance. There is a partial influence between Emotional Intelligence with a Tcount of 2.566 while Ttable is 1.694 (Tcount 2.566 > Ttable 1.665) with a significant level of 0.015 <0.05, meaning that there is a positive influence between Emotional Intelligence on teacher performance. There is a positive and simultaneous influence of Competency and Emotional Intelligence variables on Raudhatul Athfal's Teacher Performance in Simalungun Regency. With Fcount of 59.501 with a significant level of 0.000. (Fcount 59.501 > Ftable value 3.29 sig 0.000 <0.05).

Abstract

This research aims to determine the implementation of SBM at Darul Fikri IT Middle School, Tanjungbalai City, which includes education staff management, student management, curriculum management, facilities and infrastructure management, financial management, and relationship management with the community. This research uses qualitative research using descriptive methods. Data obtained from SMP IT Darul Fikri. Meanwhile, the data collection technique in the research is the interview method. Secondary data or data reinforcement obtained using observation and documentation methods whose data sources are from the Principal and staff at Darul Fikri IT Middle School, Tanjungbalai City. Data analysis begins by collecting all data from various sources, checking the validity of the data, presenting the data and verifying the data using triangulation techniques. The results of the research show that the results of the implementation of school-based management at SMP IT Darul Fikri, Tanjungbalai City have gone quite well, although in its implementation there are still many obstacles and obstacles in each component of the school management sector, but this has become a motivation for the school to bring out school creativity in developing programs that are more in line with the needs and potential of schools in order to improve the quality of education in schools.
