Abstract

This research aims to analyze the credit's predictive value, the development pattern of credit distribution, and the credit fluctuations of 13 Rural Banks in Jember, influenced by seasonal index variables, credit interest, NPL, LDR, ROA, CAR, and operational efficiency ratio. This study used an explanatory research approach. The sample consisted of all Rural Banks' quarterly financial reports in 2014-2019 taken by a purposive sampling method. Data were analyzed using three methods, i.e., double exponential smoothing, moving average ratio, and multiple linear regression analysis methods. Results showed that, according to each data analysis method, ten Rural Banks experienced increased credit distribution. However, the other three Rural Banks experienced a decrease in credit distribution. The study results also indicated an increasing trend in the development pattern of credit distribution. Meanwhile, the NPL and LDR variables partially influenced credit fluctuations. Keywords: credit prediction, rural bank, seasonal index

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of the current ratio (as a measure of the liquidity ratio), debt ratio (as a measure of the solvency ratio), total asset turnover (as a measure of activity ratio), gross profit margin, and return on assets (as a measure of the ratio. profitability) on the profit growth of mining sector companies. The sample consisted of 37 mining sector companies listed on the IDX during the 2015-2018 period taken by the purposive sampling method. The data analysis method used is multiple linear regression analysis. The study results indicate that the current ratio, debt ratio, total asset turnover, and return on assets significantly affect profit growth. Meanwhile, the gross profit margin variable does not affect profit growth. These results inform that the current ratio, debt ratio, total asset turnover, and return on assets can be used to predict the mining companies' future profit growth. Meanwhile, the gross profit margin cannot be used as a predictor of profit growth. Keywords: current ratio, debt ratio, gross profit margin, growth of profit, return on asset, total asset turnover

Abstract

This study aims to analyze tourist behaviour, perceptions, motivation to visit, and satisfaction towards Banyuwangi tourism and its impact on community empowerment. This is a qualitative descriptive study using snowball sampling to collect research data. Research informants were the Culture & Tourism Office officer, an officer of the Cooperative, Medium Business, &Trade Office, 87 tourists, 4 guides, 11 micro-business actors, and 4 Local Tourism Awareness Group representatives. Results showed that most tourists visited Banyuwangi to see Ijen's blue fire, Alas Purwo, & local customs. They gained information from word of mouth, the Internet, & social media. Most tourists perceived that Banyuwangi tourism has good transportation facilities, supporting infrastructure, and accessibility with an affordable entry ticket. The primary motivations to visit Banyuwangi were to escape the routine, gathering with family & friends, increasing local culture knowledge, enjoying sports facilities, and adventure. Most tourists were satisfied & would like to revisit Banyuwangi & recommend it to others. In the last five years, Banyuwangi tourism shows significant developments. It has a positive effect on the community, especially for micro-business entrepreneurs. Keywords: community empowerment, motivation, perception, tourist behaviour

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of readiness to change on employee performance through proactive behaviour. The readiness to change will lead to proactive behaviour in implementing the Financial Budget System (SIGARKU), which will impact employee performance. This study used the census sampling technique. The sample consisted of 80 lecturers and education staff of UPN "Veteran" East Java as the SIGARKU implementers. Data were analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling with Partial Least Square approach. Results of this study indicate that readiness to change has a direct effect on performance. Readiness to change has a positive effect on proactive behaviour, and proactive behaviour positively affects performance. However, proactive behaviour does not mediate the effect of readiness to change on performance. Keywords: performance, proactive behaviour, readiness to change, SIGARKU

Abstract

This study analyzes the effect of service quality, brand image, brand equity, and corporate rebranding on customer satisfaction and loyalty of Transmart. The sample consisted of 200 respondents taken using the random sampling technique. Data were analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling. The results prove that service quality, brand image, and brand equity affect customer satisfaction and loyalty of Transmart. Corporate rebranding has a direct effect on customer satisfaction but does not affect the customer loyalty of Transmart. Keywords: brand equity, brand image, corporate rebranding, service quality

Abstract

A well-managed supply chain flow will make the product distribution up to the final consumers runs effectively and efficiently. This study aimed to analyze the rice supply chain flow in Demak Regency, Central Java Province. Using a qualitative descriptive method, the authors conducted field observations, in-depth interviews, and focus group discussions with several parties as informants. The informants consisted of farmers, merchant collectors, rice grinders, wholesalers, retailers, and the Department of Agriculture and Trade Office officers. The results showed that the rice supply chain in Demak Regency starts from farmers to traders and mills, then to the wholesalers, retailers, Indonesian Bureau of Logistics, supermarkets, and final consumers. The government can encourage and facilitate every process to create effectiveness and efficiency in the rice supply chain in Demak Regency. Keywords: distribution, rice, supply chain

Abstract

This study analyzes Islamic commercial banks' financial conditions using a matrix financial strategy, with its growth, investment decisions, and financing approach. The measuring instruments used are ROIC, WACC, and EVA. This research sample was 12 Islamic commercial banks in Indonesia, taken by using the purposive sampling technique. The results showed that 7 Islamic commercial banks were in quadrant three, i.e., BRI Syariah, BNI Syariah, Bank Syariah Mandiri, Bank Syariah Mega Indonesia, and Bank Panin Syariah. Then, there were four sharia commercial banks in quadrant two, namely Bank Syariah Bukopin, BCA Syariah, Maybank Syariah, and BTPN Syariah. There was one sharia commercial bank in quadrant 1, namely Bank Muamalat. Using a matrix financial strategy, Islamic commercial banks can develop strategies that lead to the effectiveness of investment decisions and financing decisions. Abstract

Universitas Teknologi Sumbawa selama ini melakukan penggajian melalui BRI. Namun, baru-baru ini Universitas teknologi Sumbawa bekerjasama dengan BNI Syariah dalam hal penggajian. Kerjasama ini membuka kesempatan kepada pegawai Universitas Teknologi Sumbawa untuk memilih BNI Syariah dalam hal penggajian. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui penyebab pegawai UTS dalam hal ini dosen dan tenaga kependidikan memilih menggunakan jasa Bank BNI Syariah cabang Sumbawa Besar. Metode penelitian lapangan dengan menggunakan analisis faktor. Pengumpulan data menggunakan angket, observasi lapangan dan dokumentasi. Staff dan tenaga kependidikan adalah sampel dalam penelitian ini. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa ada 8 variabel yang menjadi alasan dosen dan tenaga kependidikan dalam memilih menggunakan Bank BNI Syariah. Kedelapan variabel tersebut kemudian membentuk satu faktor.
