Abstract

Earthquake events are disasters that cannot be predicted and have the possibility of recurring. The earthquake that hit Cianjur Regency on November 22 2022 provided lessons in dealing with and evaluating affected areas and sectors so that going forward it would be able to reduce victims and damage. Cugenang District is one of the sub-districts affected by the earthquake, plus a fault zone or Cugenang Fault has been identified. One of the sectors affected is the education sector, especially elementary schools in their teaching and learning activities. This study aims to identify the distribution pattern of elementary schools as a trigger factor for evaluating locations with an earthquake risk index level. As for the evaluation, the Nearest Neighbor Analysis (NNA) method and overlay analysis were used so that a random distribution pattern was obtained in Elementary Schools that followed settlements, and Elementary Schools with high levels of damage were obtained in locations with high earthquake indexes so that they were used as basis for consideration of relocation. Abstract

ABSTRACTLanguage is a means of daily communication for the community to carry out social activities in the community. Sundanese is the regional language of instruction of Sundanese culture spoken by 42 million people, and is the 2nd most widely spoken regional language in Indonesia with speakers spread across West Java province and its surroundings. Sundanese speakers are so numerous that each region has different dialects due to various factors, one of which is geographical location. To analyze geographical location factors that affect the distribution of Sundanese dialect varieties, a literary method is needed to analyze regional conditions and dialect differences influenced by geographical location. The research method used is a literature study by examining existing phenomena with studies from literature sources and the internet. The purpose of this study is to analyze the influence of geographical location on dialect differences, especially Sundanese whose speakers are in the provinces of West Java and Banten indifferent and geographically separated circumstances. In general, it can be said that the geographical conditions of West Java Province and its surroundings are different, namely the landscape and morphology from the coast to the mountains can create its own dialect according to geographical conditions that should be a factor. influence differences in Sundanese dialects.Keyword: Dialect, Sundanese Language, Distribution of Sundanese Language Dialect

Abstract

This paper reviews the relationship between land cover changes and weather parameter conditions in an area. By using the literature review method, it is expected to be able to provide an explanation regarding changes in air temperature conditions, surface wind circulation and rainfall patterns due to changes in land cover. The expansion of urban areas and an increase in built-up land has led to the formation of Urban Heat Island (UHI) where the surface air temperature becomes hotter than the surrounding area. Topography and changes in the vegetation landscape can affect the surface wind circulation patterns and, in some places, reduce the speed due to surface roughness. Various numerical simulations have also shown that changes in land cover can increase the amount of rainfall in an area, but in nearby areas the amount of rainfall can decrease. From various studies that have been carried out, changes in land cover have a strong influence in changing the condition of weather parameters in an area.

Abstract

Many boundary disputes are caused by many factors, therefore boundary arrangement is very important to do. Sebatik Island is one of the small islands of tens of thousands of islands owned by the Indonesian state. Sebatik Island is divided into two parts, one part of the northern island goes into Malaysian territory, and the other part is the southen part into Indonesian territory. Because this island is the border of the country, the location of Sebatik is very strategic for both countries and makes Sebatik Island prone to conflict. In conducting research this Journal Article used is a mixed research method, which is a research method that combines two qualitative and quantitative research methods in a research activity.

Abstract

The construction of settlements and the development of industrial estates are continuously increasing, especially in urban areas. The city of Cimahi has a strategic position and is quite close to the city of Bandung, so that an increase in building density will result in an increase in atmospheric conditions around the area which will trigger land surface temperatures in an area. The main objective of the research is to analyze the effect of building density on land surface temperature in Cimahi City. To examine the effect between variables using a simple linear regression test. Based on the results of NDBI processing in 2014, the lowest value was -0.68 and the highest value was 0.51. In 2022, the NDBI processing results will produce the lowest value of -0.447 and the highest value of 0.517. The results of building density processing from 2014 to 2022 show an increase in building density. Based on the processing results, the lowest land surface temperature in 2019 was 12ºC and the highest temperature was 25ºC. The processing of land surface temperatures in 2022 will produce the lowest temperature, which is 18ºC and the highest temperature, which is 27ºC. The results of land surface temperature changes from 2014 to 2022 show a significant increase. The results of a simple linear regression test in 2014 yielded values R square of 0.614 with a significant value of 0.001. The results of the regression test in 2022 yield R square 0.505 with a significant value of 0.001. From the results of the research, it is hoped that the government can assist decision making as well as a policy reference in development planning and spatial planning. For future researchers, it is hoped that they can provide updates on methods and the use of higher resolution or updated satellite imagery. Keywords: Building Density, Land Surface Temperature, Regression, Remote Sensing

Abstract

Groundwater is the primary irrigation water source when surface water does not meet its needs, especially during the dry season. Studying groundwater quality and its suitability for irrigation is crucial because it can have an impact on the quality of agricultural land, particularly the fertility of the soil and plants. This study aimed to distinguish the suitability of groundwater quality for irrigation purposes in plain and hilly topography. Groundwater samples were taken from 13 wells scattered throughout the study area, which includes plains and hills. Groundwater sample testing includes various parameters such as DHL, Cl-, HCO3-, Na+, B, K+, Mg2+, and Ca2+. Analysis of groundwater quality for irrigation uses several methods, namely salinity hazard, sodium hazard (SAR), RSC, ion toxicity, sodium percentage (%Na), magnesium hazard (MHR), Kelly's ratio, and permeability index. The analysis results show that most groundwater samples have excellent values for each analysis method. Spatially, groundwater samples from plains areas have better quality than those from wells in hilly areas. Even so, all groundwater in the plains and hills can still be used for irrigation purposes even though groundwater from wells on the hills has various potential hazards or adverse effects on soil and plants.

Abstract

Groundwater is the water contained in bedrock or regolith, it can also be said to flow naturally to the surface of the soil through jets or seepage. Groundwater has an important role especially for human needs. The research area is administratively located in Cipatat District, West Bandung Regency. Geographically it is located at 6°46'4.84" LS – 6°53'54.30" LS and 107°18'7.44' E – 107°28'53.23" E. The development of the Cipatat area in industrial, service, trade and residential activities can affect the use of groundwater and will continue to increase. The purpose of this study was to identify the potential of water resources using remote sensing methods supported by Geographic Information Systems (GIS), data processing using secondary data and conducting field checks. Satellite image processing classifies Cipatat land class images divided into 4 types of land, from low to high pixel values, namely water body distribution land, ground cover vegetation, plantation vegetation and grasses, as well as forest vegetation, dry fields, and rocky soils. The results of data processing showed that the water critical areas in the study area had a percentage of 3-10% in Bojongheulang, Cipageran, Cirawemekar Mandala sari dan Rajamandala and safe areas with a percentage of 11-51% in Campaka Mekar, Ciburuy, Cihea, Cipatat, Gunung Masigit dan Padalarang. Based on the correlation test of the distribution area of Cipatat and its surrounding vegetation with the distribution area of groundwater, it shows a strong relationship and influences each other. Field checks were carried out in the North and South Cibatat areas.
