Abstract

Indonesia is the Country which has potential disaster. Education as an effort totransform knowledge and technology is expected as one of disaster risk reduction effort.The implementation of education is expected to increase sustainable education andstudent’s critical thinking. The purpose of this article is to apply “ContextualCollaborative Learning” based on disaster education in the Bompon Catchment. Theconcept of contextual collaborative learning is obtained by observation student’s fieldstudy and research of society dedication in the Bompon Catchment. The concept oflearning design development “Collaborative Learning” can be done by 3 steps, such asi) orientation related the environmental condition in the Bompon Catchment; ii)observation and measurement related the geomorphology process such as landslide,erosion, and drought; iii) Focus Group Discussion to developing the media learningproduct based on the orientation, field observation and measurement.Keyword: Collaborative Learning, Disaster Education, and Bompon Catchment.ABSTRAKIndonesia merupakan negara yang berpotensi terjadi bencana alam. Pendidikan sebagaiupaya transformasi pengetahuan dan teknologi diharapkan sebagai salah satu upayapengurangan risiko bencana. Abstract

Cover crop is an important factor which affects soil loss. The lost of soil potential is affected by plant morphology. The aim of this study was to elaborate on the effectiveness of the type of cover crops to soil loss in the same morphology and characteristic of soil. The study was carried out by applying erosion plots. Soil loss measurements were conducted four times in each demonstration plot. Soil loss for each plot was analyzed in the laboratory. The result showed that the most erodible soil with the highest amount of soil loss was in the pre onion plot and the most effectiveness for soil loss control was carrot plot. The amounts of soil loss for carrot, cabbage, and pre-onion were 0.040991 kg/8 x 10-4ha, 0.069901 kg/8 x 10-4ha, and 0.077800 kg/8 x 10-4ha, respectively. The highest runoff of 60.554 L/8 x 10-4ha,  was observed at the pre onion plot. Based on the result, the most effective cover crop for soil control was the carrot. The important parts of cover crops which influenced soil loss were the shape of shade leaves and type of roots.

Abstract

Public awareness and environmental concern are two issues that frequently showed up related to waste management. This study aimed to determine the awareness of Dusun Sendang Biru community in maintaining beach and sea cleanliness and creativity in maintaining beach and sea cleanliness sustainably. The research design used a descriptive qualitative method. The data was collected through observation, in depth interviews, documentation, and Forum Group Discussions (FGDs). The result revealed that before 2016, the community awareness in maintaining beach and sea cleanliness was still low but got better Sendang Biru Bhakti Alam Foundation (a local foundation) managed an ecotourism area in Clungup Mangrove Conservation (CMC) Tiga Warna, Malang, Indonesia, in 2019, the port area of Pondok Dadap Sendang Biru also has a conservation program to raise awareness about the importance of waste management, and in early 2021, a movement called SABURO (Sapu Bumi Segoro) made to raise public awareness about the cleanliness in the coast, sea and land areas. The movement then continued by producing bricks made from plastic waste and used oil. This initiative has a significant impact on the environmental sustainability of coastal areas in Sendang Biru district. Abstrak Masalah yang sering muncul ketika membahas masalah sampah yaitu kesadaran dan kepedulian masyarakat terhadap lingkungan. Tujuan Penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui kesadaran masyarakat Dusun Sendang Biru dalam menjaga kebersihan pantai dan laut dan kreativitas masyarakat untuk membuat laut bersih secara berkelanjutan. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan cara observasi, wawancara mendalam dengan partisipatif, dokumentasi, dan FGD. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sebelum tahun 2016 kesadaran masyarakat Dusun Sendang Biru dalam menjaga kebersihan pantai dan laut masih rendah, tetapi setelah itu semakin membaik dengan diprakarsai Yayasan Bhakti Alam Sendang Biru yang menge- lola Kawasan Ekowisata CMC Tiga Warna, mulai tahun 2019 Kawasan Pelabuhan Pondok Dadap Sendang Biru juga mempunyai program konservasi untuk membentuk kesadaran bersih dari sampah dan awal tahun 2021 muncul Gerakan SABURO (Sapu Bumi Segoro) kesadaran masyarakat tentang kebersihan sampah tidak hanya di pesisir dan laut, tetapi juga di kawasan daratan. Gerakan tersebut dilanjutkan dengan kreasi pembuatan batako dari bahan sampah plastik dan oli bekas. Gerakan ini sangat memberi dampak pada kebersihan lingkungan baik di perkampungan, pesisir dan laut yang ada di Dusun Sendang Biru.

Abstract

ABSTRAKPerkembangan teknologi menuntut guru dalam menghadirkan proses pembelajaran yang inovatif dan kreatif. Media pembelajaran yang terintegrasi dengan teknologi dapat menjadi daya tarik bagi siswa dalam meningkatkan kompetensi abad 21. Pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pelatihan Gamification berbasis Game Based Virtual Learning Environment  (VLE) terhadap kemampuan Guru dalam memahami basic gamification element. Metode kegiatan berupa pelatihan dengan menggunakan pretest dan posttest untuk mengukur kompetensi Guru dalam memahami basic gamification element. Tahapan pelaksanaan dilakukan dengan empat tahap yang terdiri dari: : 1) tahap assessment, 2) tahap persiapan, dan 3) tahap implementasi program dan 4) tahap evaluasi program. Subjek penelitian adalah Guru terutama Guru Geografi. Analisis data menggunakan Uji paired sample test dengan nilai N-Gain Score. Hasil pelatihan menunjukkan bahwa Guru dapat meningkatkan kemampuan dalam memahami basic gamification element melalui praktik. Kata kunci: gamification; game-based virtual learning environment; geoedu workshop. ABSTRACTTechnological developments require teachers to present innovative and creative learning processes. Learning media integrated with technology can be an attraction for students in improving 21st-century competence. This service aims to determine the effect of Gamification training based on Game Based Virtual Learning Environment on the teacher's ability to understand basic gamification elements. The activity method is training using a pretest and posttest to measure teacher competency in understanding basic gamification elements. The implementation stage is carried out in four stages consisting of 1) the assessment stage, 2) the preparation stage, 3) the program implementation stage, and 4) the program evaluation stage. The research subjects were teachers, especially geography teachers. Data analysis used a paired sample test with an N-Gain Score. The training results show that teachers can improve their understanding of basic gamification elements through practice. Keywords: gamification; game-based virtual learning environment; geoedu workshop.

Abstract

During the last decade, digitalization has affected the structure of education in the world, this change requiring the conversion of conventional education in order to carry out practical and independent learning by students. The purpose of this research is to develop a validated digital teaching material supplement using remote sensing material. The Research and Development model is made following the ADDIE development steps, but is limited to the development stage. Teaching materials are created using Canva software and Heyzine Flipbook. The results of product validation, obtained an average of 91 percent and belonged to the very valid category. The results of the validation test are used as a reference for revision and refinement of teaching materials. Teaching materials were tested on teachers and students of class X IPS 1 SMAN 10 Malang, with a total of 36 students. In general, the test results were categorized as very good, with the test results on teachers amounting to 95 percent, and on students amounting to 92 percent. Based on the results of the trials that have been carried out, it can be seen that digital teaching material supplements are very good for use in learning activities. Selama dekade terakhir, digitalisasi mempengaruhi struktur pendidikan di dunia secara keseluruhan sehingga memerlukan konversi pendidikan konvensional agar terlaksana pembelajaran yang praktis dan mandiri oleh peserta didik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan suplemen bahan ajar digital pada materi penginderaan jauh menggunakan Heyzine Flipbook yang telah tervalidasi. Model penelitian pengembangan dibuat mengikuti langkah pengembangan ADDIE, namun dibatasi hingga tahap development. Bahan ajar dibuat menggunakan software Canva dan Heyzine Flipbook. Hasil validasi produk memperoleh rerata sebesar 91 persen dan tergolong pada kategori sangat valid. Hasil uji validasi digunakan sebagai bahan revisi serta penyempurnaan bahan ajar. Bahan ajar diujicobakan pada guru dan peserta didik kelas X IPS 1 SMAN 10 Malang, dengan jumlah siswa sebanyak 36 siswa. Secara umum, hasil uji coba mendapat kategori sangat baik, dengan skor uji coba pada guru sebesar 95, dan pada siswa sebesar 92 persen. Berdasarkan hasil uji coba, dapat diketahui bahwa suplemen bahan ajar digital sangat baik untuk digunakan pada pembelajaran.

Abstract

The Telegram application is a communication media application that features virtual robots with artificial intelligence. The existence of a virtual robot can make this application can be filled like a complex application but still light for the user's device and can be accessed on all operating systems and devices. Virtual robots can be filled with various kinds of commands and can be filled with learning materials accompanied by text and video, audio, and illustrated images so that they can be used as learning media. The purpose of this study is to determine whether or not there is an effect of using learning media using the Telegram application with conventional learning media in natural disaster mitigation materials for senior high school geography students. This study used a quasi-experimental research design with a posttest only control group design. The subjects of this study consisted of class XI J4 (experimental class) and class XI I4 (control class). The research instrument used in the form of 5 essay test questions given after being given treatment in each class. Technical analysis of the data used is using an unpaired t-test (independent sample t-test). The results of the t-test showed a significance number of 0.029 less than 0.05 which indicated that there was a difference in the learning outcomes of the two classes. The results of the experimental class students' average scores were higher. So it can be concluded that there is an influence in the use of learning media using the Telegram application on disaster mitigation materials on student learning outcomes. Aplikasi Telegram merupakan aplikasi media komunikasi yang memiliki fitur robot virtual dengan kecerdasan buatan. Adanya robot virtual dapat membuat aplikasi ini dapat diisi seperti sebuah aplikasi yang kompleks namun tetap ringan bagi perangkat pengguna serta dapat diakses di semua sistem operasi dan perangkat. Robot virtual dapat diisi berbagai macam perintah dan dapat diisi materi pembelajaran yang disertai teks dan video, audio, dan gambar ilustrasi sehingga dapat dimanfaatkan sebagai media pembelajaran. Tujuan dari penelitian ini yakni untuk mengetahui ada atau tidaknya pengaruh penggunaan media pembelajaran menggunakan aplikasi Telegram dengan media pembelajaran konvensional dalam materi mitigasi bencana alam untuk siswa geografi SMA. Penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan penelitian jenis eksperimen semu dengan desain penelitian posttest only control group design. Subjek penelitian ini terdiri dari kelas XI J4 (kelas eksperimen) dan kelas XI I4 (kelas kontrol). Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan berupa 5 soal tes esai yang diberikan sesudah diberikan perlakuan pada tiap kelas. Teknis analisis data yang digunakan yakni menggunakan uji-t tidak berpasangan (independents sample t-test). Hasil dari uji t menunjukkan angka signifikansi 0,029 kurang dari 0,05 yang menunjukkan adanya perbedaan hasil belajar kedua kelas. Hasil dari nilai rata-rata siswa kelas eksperimen lebih tinggi. Maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh dalam penggunaan media pembelajaran menggunakan aplikasi Telegram pada materi mitigasi bencana terhadap hasil belajar siswa.

Abstract

Kota Batu merupakan daerah topografi tinggi karena terletak di pegunungan dan memiliki luas 20.000 ha yang terbagi menjadi beberapa kecamatan. Wilayah Batu memiliki problematika berupa banjir yang disebabkan oleh tingginya intensitas curah hujan yang tinggi. Daerah kajian bencana banjir berada di kawasan Bumiaji. Bumiaji berada dalam bagian hulu sungai Brantas yang berfungsi sebagai pusat infiltrasi. Perubahan tata guna lahan mengakibatkan debit air menjadi meningkat sehingga air hujan tidak dapat terinfiltrasi ke dalam tanah secara baik maka menyebabkan bencana banjir. Bencana banjir dapat teratasi dengan mitigasi bencana yang bersifat non struktural menggunakan pemetaan. Alat bantu pemetaan menggunakan ArcGIS dengan memperhatikan beberapa parameter banjir yaitu data curah hujan, data tata guna lahan, dan data kemiringan lereng. Beberapa parameter digabungkan dengan cara overlay sehingga dapat disajikan peta kerawanan banjir Kecamatan Bumiaji. Penghitungan banjir kawasan Bumiaji mendapat skor 90 atau sedang menurut penghitungan skoring.

Abstract

Landslides are one of the crucial problems that have an impact on land degradation and human life. This study aimed to develop vulnerability maps using ANN to mitigate land degradation in the Bromo Tengger Semeru with the extending area of Universal Transverse Mercator (UTM) Coordinate System Top 91277639, Bottom 911569, Left 692860, and Right 706860. The method applied the Artificial Neural Network (ANN) model using RStudio machine learning. Landslides were mapped using Sentinel Image and Orthomozaic photo interpretation from data acquisition using Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV). The landslide control factor data was obtained through DEMNAS (National Digital Elevation Model) with a spatial resolution of 8 meters. Data normalisation was conducted using the Mix-Max method before it was processed using RStudio. The landslide existing for ANN workflow was processed using the Bioclim model. The results showed landslide susceptibility was categorised into four classes i.e., low susceptibility (29.83%), which was spatially spread on most in the lower slopes, moderate susceptibility (3.11%), high susceptibility (2.99%), and very high susceptibility (15.94) which is scattered on the upper slope to the middle slope of the watershed. The most significant factor influencing the landslide is the topography factor, with a Relative Importance (RI) value of 0.86; the hydrological factor, with an RI of 0.833 and the surface feature, with an RI of 0.355. The results of the landslide susceptibility model are very proper for land degradation mitigation strategies. It has high accuracy through an Area Under Curve (AUC) of 0.965 and a Precision Recall Curve (PRC) of 0.976.
