Abstract

This study aimed to develop a learning agility measuring instrument based on De Meuse's theory (2015) with a sample of Government Employees from the National Police of Indonesian Republik and members of Polda Metro Jaya (Lokal Police). The data was collected using an online questionnaire survey distributed via Jotform. The results of the statistical test using a differential power test where the researcher aborted 35 items in the pilot study, which were initially 95 items so that the items that could be continued to the next test stage in a large sample totaled 60 items, then from the average item reliability value has a value per -item ≥ 0.9, this figure shows consistent numbers using the same measuring instrument (test-retest reliability) when testing on small samples and also large samples. Construct Validity value with item homogeneity technique using Product Moment correlation in all items with a p ≤ 0.05. Moreover, it can also be seen from the Pearson correlation value of all items ≥ 0.279 (r-table) of N=50. So that all items in the second phase of the trial can be said to be valid and feasible to use, it can be seen that there is also a positive correlation between dimensions. The results of the factor loading test show that the Standardization Estimate All numbers for each dimension are ≥ 0.71. these figures indicate that each dimension is a factor of the latent construct.

Abstract

The term of Sandwich Generation has generally been applied to adultstaking care of older members of their family and their minor children at the same time. Currently, Indonesia sandwich generation is in their productive age financially and emotionally squeezed for their family and self-care issues. In this phenomenon, resilience character is formed within the individuals to take control and to develop in the midst of difficult circumstances. Resilience is viewed as a measure ofanxiety, depression, and stress reaction coping ability. The purpose of this study is to determine self-resilience in the sandwich generation. This study uses the Connor & Davidson scale (CD-RISC 25), and using a quantitative comperative descriptive analysis method an using an Independent t-test. The results of the study show a moderate level of resilience 97.2% that explains the individuals are capable of adapting and overcoming problems which are included in personal competence.

Abstract

This researcher is important for teenagers who still have anxiety about their desired career because one of the factors in making career decisions is self-determination which can help teenagers in making career decisions because self-determination is the drive that exists within an individual to achieve life goals, especially career. From the explanation above, the aim of this research is to answer the existence of a relationship between self-determination and career decision making among teenagers in Salatiga City Orphanage. The method used in this research uses quantitative methods with a quantitative correlational research design. The data collection technique used in this research was distributing psychological scales in the form of a physical questionnaire. The sampling technique used is nonprobability sampling with purposive sampling technique. The population of this study were teenagers in Salatiga City Orphanage with 105 subjects. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling. The research results showed a correlation of 0.523 (p<0.05), which means there is a significant positive relationship between self-determination and career decision making among teenagers in Salatiga City Orphanage. So that teenagers who have good self-determination will find it easier to make career decisionsthat suit their abilities

Abstract

Recent studies have demonstrated that using colour fonts could enhance memory. However, little is known regarding whether using highlighter would produce a similar effect and, if so, whether the colour of highlighters determine the nuance of effectiveness. This study aims at exploring the effectiveness of the use of highlighters to enhance short-term memory. We chose two colours of highlighters: blue and yellow, with reference to the previous literature. A randomized, matched, one-way ANOVA experimental design was conducted, participated by 97 university students. The result suggests that using yellow highlighter produced the same effect to memory formation as not using highlighter, while using blue highlighter tends to lower the performance of short-term memory formation. The study could potentially inform effective learning strategies to enhance memory performance, especially related to the use of highlighters.

Abstract

Adolescence is the phase between childhood and adulthood. Teenagers will commit acts of juvenile delinquency when they experience a broken-home and have conflicting parents. One of the acts of juvenile delinquency is stealing which has a relationship with impulse control. This study aims to determine the behavior of broken-home adolescents who experience kleptomania disorder and identify the emotions that arise before and after the onset of kleptomaniac behavior. This study uses a phenomenological approach with a semi-structured interview for data collection. Participants in this study were selected through purposive sampling based on predetermined criteria. The data analysis used in this study is the Miles and Huberman interactive analysis model. This study found that participants had a tendency towards kleptomania in childhood due to internal factors. This research is expected to provide objective information about broken-home adolescents who experience kleptomania based on phenomenological studies.

Abstract

This research was motivated by the increasing trend of Alexithymia among adolescents in Indonesia, including in some parts of the Gunung Kidul area. This research aimed to determine the level of Alexithymia tendency among groups of adolescents in Sidoharjo Village, Tepus District, based on gender. In addition, it also aimed to test empirically whether there is a difference in the tendency for Alexithymia in male and female adolescents. The hypothesis proposed in this research is that the tendency for Alexithymia in male adolescents in Sidoharjo Village is higher than in female adolescents. The sampling technique used in this research is proportional random sampling. The sample size was determined using the Slovin formula. Alexithymia scale was used as the measuring tool, prepared based on Nemiah's theory. The reliability of the measurement results obtained was 0.819. The results of this study show that the majority of Alexithymia tendencies in adolescents are in the moderate category, but 20.12% are in the high category, and 4.14% are in the very high category. Male adolescents have a higher tendency for Alexithymia (mean: 52.95) than female adolescents (mean: 47.25).
