Abstract

Pendidik merupakan tenaga profesional yang bertugas merencana-kan dan melaksanakan proses pembelajaran, menilai hasil pembelajaran, melakukan pembimbingan dan pelatihan, serta melakukan penelitian dan pengabdian kepada masyarakat, terutama bagi pendidik di perguruan tinggi. Pendidik yang mengajar pada satuan pendidikan dasar dan menengah disebut guru. Kinerja yang maksimal dari seorang guru bertujuan untuk dapat mencapai visi dan misi dunia pendidikan. Tujuan Penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui adanya hubungan positif yang signifikan antara motivasi berprestasi dengan kinerja guru di jenjang SMA. Sampel yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah guru di SMA Kristen I dan SMA Kristen II Salatiga sejumlah 46 guru. Hasil uji korelasi yang dilakukan dengan Spearman-Rank, diperoleh nilai koefisien korelasi r = -0,092, dengan probabilitas 0,544 (p > 0,05). Nilai probabilitas yang diperoleh tersebut lebih besar dari 0,05, sehingga Ho diterima dan H1 ditolak. Dengan demikian dapat diambil kesimpulan bahwa tidak ada hubungan yang signifikan antara motivasi berprestasi dengan kinerja guru.

Abstract

Students who have high academic grades in school need to be grouped into one class. This paradigm is still inherent in the community and teachers usually use this paradigm to group students who have high academic achievement in the classroom (ability grouping). This research is to provide an overview of the attitudes of teachers, students, and parents with regard to the implementation of ability grouping based on academic achievement. This research is quantitative descriptive study. The study was conducted in one of the public school at  Semarang, Central Java, Indonesia, grade IV and V, involving 6 classroom teachers grade IV and Grade V, 166 students and 166 parents. Data was collected using questionnaires and interviews. Result shows, teacher class A (high achievement) agrees, teacher class B (average achievement) and C (low achievement) do not agree with ability grouping. Most students in grade A, B and C agree with ability grouping. Parents of the class A agree, while the parents of the class B and C do not agree with ability grouping.

Abstract

The transition period from school to the world of work is a critical time that affects determining one's career. This study aims to examine the role of grit and parent-child communication in students’ career adaptability. Using a purposive sampling technique, the study involved 218 High School (SMA) students and 124 Vocational High School (SMK) students in Salatiga, Indonesia. The measurement instruments used in the research were the career adaptability scale, grit scale, and parent-child communication scale. The results show that the R-value was .595 and the adjusted R squared (R2) value was .354. The significance value generated from the regression test was .000 (p<.01). Based on the calculation results, it can be concluded that grit and communication between parents and children together play a significant role in career adaptability. The research implication is that students’ grit and effective parent-child communication should be developed to improve career adaptability.

Abstract

Abstract: Human resources that are well managed will provide roles in an effective and efficient manner for the company. Companies need to improve the quality of human resources in facing challenges. One of the soft skills that need to be developed and improved is the ability in self-regulation for employees. The objectives of this activity are: to improve employees' self-regulation skills. Participants in this activity were 27 employees in the A department of XYZ Company. The employee development program consists of three stages, namely: a) the assessment stage; b) the training and development stage and; 3) the evaluation stage. Based on the development activities, it was concluded that there was an increase in employee self-regulation skills. Employees get learning and sharing skills between employees and department leaders, get role models and motivation, and employees can reflect on being able to be used adaptively in their work. Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of teaching methods Cooperative Integrated Reading Composition (CIRC) to improve reading comprehension ability for students of classes V Elementary School. The hypothesis of this study was difference in change ability reading of comprehension stage for fifth grade students Elementary School with the teaching methods Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition (CIRC) and that does not use teaching methods Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition (CIRC). The subjects were fifth grade students amount 29 students, 14 of control group students and 15 of experimental group student. Data analysis technique using Mann Whitney U test. the result obtained the value of U = 98.5, greater than a = 0.05 it can be concluded that Ho is accepted. It was concluded that there was no difference in change ability reading of comprehension stage for fifth grade students Elementary School with the teaching methods Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition (CIRC) and that does not use teaching methods Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition (CIRC). Keywords: Ability of Reading Comprehension, Learning Method Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition (CIRC), Student Class V

Abstract

Teacher is a unique job, a job that requires a high commitment beyond the desire for money. This study is for the empirical interest of the relationship between job insecurity and achievement motivation by Honorary Teacher. This study involved 95 teachers with honorary status from 34 educational institutions in kindergarten, elementary / junior high school, high school / vocational school in the suburbs of Salatiga, Central Java. Based on trials with N = 95 there is no significance of Job Insecurity and Achievement Motivation in Honorary Teachers in Salatiga, Central Java (r = 0.045; p = 0.668> 0.05; 2-tailed). This means, job insecurity does not give effect to achievement motivation by Honorary Teachers in Salatiga.

Abstract

Career problems experienced by students may indicate that they do not understand their potential, lack of career information, choose wrong majors, doubt about career choices, and do not have a career yet. The purpose of this study is to determine whether the "Drive Your Career" training method can improve students' career adaptability. The training module was developed by researchers and used an experimental research design "one group pretest posttest design". The sampling method used purposive sampling technique involving 46 students of class IX Junior High School (SMP). Career adaptability was measured using the Career Adaptability Scale. The results show that there is an effect of using the "Drive Your Career" training method to improve career adaptability.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengungkap hubungan antara self monitoring dengan impulsive buying terhadap produk fashion pada mahasiswi rantau. Partisipan dalam penelitian ini adalah 259 mahasiswi rantau Univeristas Kristen Satya Wacana yang di tentukan dengan teknik purposive sampling. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini antara lain yaitu (1) Self Monitoring Scale untuk mengukur self monitoring dan (2) The Impulsive Buying Tendency Scale untuk mengukur perilaku impulsive buying. Hasil analisis statistik menunjukkan r sama dengan 0,130 dengan nilai sig. sebesar 0,018 (p lebih kecil dari 0,05) yang berarti terdapat hubungan positif signifikan antara self monitoring dengan impulsive buying pada mahasiswi rantau UKSW.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah penalaran moral dan konsep diri akademik menjadi prediktor terhadap perilaku kecurangan akademik pada siswa sekolah menengah atas di Kota Salatiga. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa SMK di Kota Salatiga. sejumlah 256 orang siswa. Kecurangan akademik diukur dengan Skala Kecurangan Akademik yang disusun oleh Anthanasou & Olasehinde (2002), pengukuran penalaran moral dengan menggunakan Defining Issue Test (DIT) yang dikembangkan oleh Rest (1979) dan Konsep Diri Akademik menggunakan skala yang disusun oleh Wyle (1976), Hansford dan Hatie (1982) dan Marsh (1992). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya korelasi negatif yang signifikan antara konsep diri akademik dengan kecurangan akademik siswa SMK swasta di Salatiga, dengan r = -0,195 (p < 0,05), namun tidak ada korelasi antara penalaran moral dengan kecurangan akademik siswa SMK swasta di Salatiga, dengan r = 0,033 (p < 0,05). Sedangkan konsep diri akademik dan penalaran moral tidak memberikan kontribusi untuk tingkat kecurangan akademik pada siswa SMK swasta di Kota Salatiga, ditunjukkan dengan R = 0,201 (p < 0,05).

Abstract

ABSTRACT: MOTIVATION LEARNING AND CAREER PLANNING  This study aims to determine whether there is a correlation between learning motivation and career planning in high school student. The method used in this research is quantitative method. This study was conducted on 74 student of class XI SMA Negeri 1 Seluma The data analysis technique used the pearson product moment correlation coefficient. Based on the results of the calculation of the correlation hypothesis test in this study, it is found that there is a positive relationship between learning motivation and career planning. This means that the higher the motivation to learn, the higher the career planning will be. The implication of the results of this study, namely that the existence of learning motivation will help students to achieve the desired career, and students can motivate themselves to study even harder. Keywords: Career Planning, Learning Motivation, High School Student Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui ada tidaknya hubungan antara motivasi belajar dengan  perencanaan karier pada siswa SMA. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode kuantitatif. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada 74 siswa kelas XI SMA Negeri 1 Seluma. Teknik analisis data menggunakan koefisien korelasi pearson product moment. Berdasarkan hasil perhitungan uji hipotesis korelasi pada penelitian ini ditemukan bahwa terdapat hubungan positif antara motivasi belajar dengan perencanaan karier. Hal ini berarti semakin tinggi motivasi belajar maka akan semakin tinggi pula perencanaan karier. Implikasi dari hasil penelitian ini, yaitu dengan adanya motivasi belajar akan membantu siswa untuk mencapai karier yang diinginkan, dan siswa dapat memotivasi diri untuk belajar dengan lebih giat lagi. Kata kunci: Perencanaan Karier, Motivasi Belajar, Siswa SMA
