Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui efektivitas model Problem Posing untuk meningkatkan kemampuan penalaran matematis siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 12 Singkawang pada materi Teorema Pythagoras. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian Quasi Eksperimental Desaign dengan desain penelitian Nonequivalent Control Group Desaign. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 12 Singkawang dan ditentukan dengan teknik Simple Random Sampling. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah kelas VIII A sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas VIII B sebagai kelas kontrol. Sebelum soal diberikan kepada siswa, soal terlebih dahulu di uji validitas, reliabilitas, daya pembeda dan tingkat kesukarannya. Berdasarkan hasil analisis yang diperoleh yaitu 1) kemampuan penalaran matematis siswa mencapai KKM yaitu 70 secara individual maupun klasikal pada materi Teorema Pythagoras yang diajarkan dengan menggunakan model Problem Posing. 2) terdapat perbedaan kemampuan penalaran matematis siswa yaitu  t hitung > t tabel11, 8 > 2,00 yang diajarkan menggunakan model Problem Posing dengan kemampuan penalaran matematis siswa yang diajarkan dengan model pembelajaran langsung pada materi teorema Pythagoras. 3) aktivitas belajar siswa tinggi sebesar 86,71% pada materi teorema Pythagoras dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran Problem Posing. 4) motivasi belajar siswa tinggi sebesar 74,17 pada materi teorema Pythagoras dengan menggunkaan model pembelajaran Problem Posing.

Abstract

The aims of this study are to determine level of problem solving ability after being given problem solving basedlearning and to determine the effect of problem solving based learning to problem solving ability in probability theory. Themethod used is quasi experimental, with pre-experimental design and one shot case study design. The population are the studentsof fifth semester in IKIP PGRI Pontianak and it consists of 3 classes. Sample just consists of a class, which obtained throughcluster random sampling technique. Instrument used is problem solving ability test. Data is analyzed using descriptive statisticsand inferential statistics. The study show that the problem solving based learning doesn’t give good effect to problem solvingability, but it has average score is 67 or good level. Beside of that, the study also show that students have ability of understandingthe problem with the average score is 75 or high level, ability of devising the plan with the average score is 66 or high level,ability of carrying out the plan with the average score is 50 or middle level, and the average score is 19 or very low level forability of looking back.

Abstract

One way to improve students' self-confidence is to implement a collaborative learning model. Improving students' self-confidence using collaborative learning models can be done by conducting classroom action research. The subject of this class action research is the students of class X MIPA 4 SMA Negeri 2 Ngaglik, Sleman, Yogyakarta School Year 2015/2016 consisting of thirty two students. This study consists of two cycles. Technique Data collection used is test and non test. The instrument of this study is the test of student achievement and student confidence questionnaire. Data analysis techniques consisted of the conversion of qualitative data to quantitative and student mastery calculation. The average of student achievement before treatment is 40.3125 with the complete proportion of students is 3.125% and after treatment is 87.9167 with proportion of student which is complete is 100%. The average student self-confidence before treatment was 96.46875 with moderate category and after treatment was 109.2188 with high category. The results showed that collaborative learning model can improve student's self-confidence.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui penerapan  model pembelajaran Kooperatif Tipe Teams Games Tournament  untuk  meningkatkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa pada materi segitiga kelas VII. Jenis penelitian  yang digunakan  adalah  kuantitatif dengan metode eksperimen. Desain penelitian yang digunakan True Experimental  dengan  menggunakan bentuk penelitian  Pretest-Posttest Control Group. Populasi penelitian adalah semua siswa kelas VII MTs Ushuluddin Singkawang yang terdiri dari kelas VII A,VII B,VII C, VII D, VII E, VII F dengan jumlah 140 orang. Sampel penelitian diambil menggunakan probability sampling, dengan teknik simple random sampling maka didapat kelas VIIA sebagai kelas eksperimen dengan jumlah 22 orang dan kelas VIIB sebagai kelas kontrol dengan jumlah 22 orang. Hasil analisis data  menunjukkan bahwa; 1) Terdapat peningkatan kelas eksperimen sebesar 0,51 dan hasil uji-t dua sampel diperoleh 3,54 > 2,08 sehingga terdapat perbedaan  peningkatan  kemampuan  pemecahan masalah matematis siswa antara kelas yang diberikan model pembelajaran Teams Games Tournament dengan kelas yang diberikan pembelajaran konvensional pada materi segitiga; 2) Aktivitas  siswa dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran  Teams  Games Tournament tergolong aktif yaitu  memperoleh  persentase  sebesar 77%; 3) Respon  siswa terhadap pembelajaran  matematika tergolong positif terhadap penerapan model Teams Games Tournament pada materi segitiga dengan persentase sebesar  86%.

Abstract

This research implements Problem Based Learning and Discovery Learning model  to analysis the increase of mathematical creative thinking skills, mistakes in the process of mathematical creative thinking, and self-efficacy of high school students  in Tasikmalaya.  The research  method  used is descriptive,  data collection  techniques  through  creative thinking ability tests and questionnaires mathematics self-efficacy. The instruments were previously assessed by experts in mathematics education. Based on the data analysis, it is concluded that the mathematical creative thinking abilities of students through Problem Based Learning is increasing compared to the mathematical creative thinking abilities of students through Discovery Learning. Mistakes students of mathematical creative thinking processes in Problem Based Learning, generally on flexibility and originality indicators. While at Discovery Learning, mistakes students of mathematical creative thinking processes is generally on sensitivity, flexibility and originality indicators. Flexibility is solving the problem with a variety of different ways, but the result is the same, and originality is to solve the problem in its own way does not use a standard formula. Sensitivity is the ability to detect problems. Self-efficacy of students in Problem Based Learning and Discovery Learning are both at high qualifications.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kelancaran prosedural matematis siswa. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di SMA Negeri 2 Singkawang. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif, bentuk penelitian yang digunakan deskriptif. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas Xa SMA Negeri 2 Singkawang. Pengambilan data menggunakan instrumen berupa tes essay yang disesuaikan dengan karekteristik kelancaran prosedural matematis dan telah diujikan dengan validasi isi, validasi konstruk, reliabilitas, tingkat kesukaran dan daya pembeda. Hasil penelitian menunjunkan kelancaran prosedural matematis siswa; (1) kelompok atas yaitu 64% dengan kategori rendah, khususnya pada indikator fleksibel yaitu 74% dengan kategori sedang, indikator efisien yaitu 78% dengan kategori sedang dan  indikator efektif yaitu 41% dengan kategori sangat rendah; (2) kelompok tengah yaitu 53% dengan kategori sangat rendah, khususnya pada indikator fleksibel yaitu 90% dengan ketegori sangat tinggi, indikator efisien yaitu 36% dengan kategori sangat rendah dan pada indikator efektif yaitu 33% dengan kategori sangat rendah; (3) kelompok bawah yaitu 34% dengan kategori sangat rendah, khususnya pada indikator fleksibel yaitu 48% dengan kategori sangat rendah, indikator efisien yaitu 33% dengan kategori sangat rendah dan pada indikator efektif yaitu 22% dengan kategori sangat rendah

Abstract

This research is a comparative experiment. This study aims to determine the effect of the application of cooperative learning model Two Stay Two Stray (TSTS) towards mathematics learning outcomes through comparison with the results of studying mathematics taught using direct learning model. Population, namely the eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 2 Polong Bangkeng Utara Kabupaten Takalar semester of academic year 2016/2017, with a sample of students in grade VIIIA and VIIIB class. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistical analysis techniques and inferential statistics. Descriptive analysis showed that the average student learning outcomes experimental class at the high category, an average of 80.78 with a standard deviation of 11.28; and the average student learning outcomes control class in middle category with an average score of 73.82 with a standard deviation of 12.98. Inferential analysis results obtained H0 and H1 accepted. It can be concluded with 95% confidence that the results of students 'mathematics learning through cooperative learning model Two Stay Two Stray (TSTS) higher than the results of students' mathematics learning through direct learning model.
