Abstract

This study aims to develop a learning model to facilitate students' ability to understand mathematical concepts and character of social care. The developmental research of this study three phases, namely Preliminary research phase development or prototyping phase and assessment phase. The subjects the first trial involved one school and for the second trial involved four junior high schools in Singkawang City which consisted of various ethnicities. In the development stages,a multi-ethnic culture-based concept sentence learning model was produced and learning tools such as lesson plans and worksheets.The instruments used for the feasibility of the model were the validation sheet, the observation sheet, the ability to comprehend the concept, the questionnaire sheet.The results showed that the multiethnic culture-based concept sentence learning model was feasible because it met three criteria:1)valid based on the assessment experts and practitioners,2)practically seen from the results of observations of implementation and student responses to learning and 3)effective in activating students, achieving completeness and fostering the character of student social care.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model Student Facilitator and Explaining terhadap kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematis siswa, keterlaksanaan model Student Facilitator and Explaining, dan aktivitas belajar siswa . Penelitian ini menggunakan desain Quasi Eksperimental. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah semua kelas VIII SMP Negeri 6 Singkawang . Sampel diambil dengan teknik cluster random sampling. Adapun sampel yang dipilih terdiri dari dua kelas yaitu kelas VIIIA sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas VIIIB sebagai kelas kontrol. Hasil analisis menunjukkan: 1) Adanya perbedaan kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematis siswa antara kelas yang menggunakan model pembelajaran SFE dengan kelas yang menggunakan model pembelajaran langsung; 2) Pengaruh model pembelajaran SFE terhadap kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematis siswa tergolong tinggi; 3) Keterlaksanaan model SFE dikategorikan sangat baik; 4) Aktivitas belajar siswa secara keseluruhan sangat aktif. AbstractThis study aims to understand the interaction of the Facilitator and Student Explanation (SFE) models to students' mathematical concept understanding abilities, the implementation of the SFE model, and student learning activities.This research is an experimental research design with nonequivalent posttest-only control group design. The population in this study is all class VIII. Samples were taken by cluster random sampling technique. As the selected sample consists of two classes, namely class VIIIA as an experimental class and class VIIIB as a control class. The results of the analysis show:1) There is a difference in the ability to understand students' mathematical concepts between classes using the SFE learning model and classes using the direct learning model;2) The effect of the SFE learning model on students' mathematical concept understanding ability is high;3) The implementation of the SFE model is categorized very well; 4) Student learning activities as a whole are very active.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran SFE terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa, aktivitas dan motivasi belajar siswa saat pembelajaran dengan model SFE pada materi aljabar kelas VIII SMP Negeri 13 Singkawang. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain Quasi Eksperimental. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah semua kelas VIII SMP Negeri 13 Singkawang yang terdiri dari empat kelas yang berjumlah 90 siswa. Sampel diambil dengan teknik purposive sampling. Adapun sampel yang dipilih terdiri dari dua kelas yaitu kelas VIIID sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas VIIIA sebagai kelas kontrol. Hasil analisis menunjukkan: 1) adanya perbedaan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa antara kelas yang menggunakan model pembelajaran SFE dengan kelas yang menggunakan model pembelajaran langsung; 2) pengaruh model pembelajaran SFE terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa tergolong tinggi; 3) aktivitas belajar siswa secara keseluruhan sangat aktif; 4) motivasi belajar siswa dikategorikan tinggi.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh Model Problem Based Learning dengan Pendekatan Saintifik Terhadap Kemampuan Pemecahan Masalah Matematis Siswa, dan motivasi belajar siswa pada materi perbandingan kelas VII SMP Negeri 2 Singkawang. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain Quasi Eksperimental.Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah semua kelas VII SMP Negeri 2 Singkawang yang terdiri dari lima kelas yang berjumlah 160 siswa. Sampel diambil dengan teknik Cluster Random Sampling. Adapun sampel yang dipilih terdiri dari dua kelas yaitu kelas VIIE sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas VIIC sebagai kelas kontrol. Hasil pengaruh model PBL dengan pendekatan Saintifik  menunjukkan: 1) Terdapat perbedaan kemampuan pemecahan masalah  matematis antara siswa yang mendapatkan model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning dengan Pendekatan Saintifik; dengan rata-rata hasil posttest kelas ekperimen yaitu 81,34 2) Model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning dengan Pendekatan Saintifik memberikan pengaruh yang tinggi terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa pada materi perbandingan; dengan hasil uji effect size sebesar 3,5  3) Motivasi belajar siswa tergolong tinggi dengan diterapkannya model Problem Based Learning dengan Pendekatan Saintifik dengan rata-rata keseluruhan siswa adalah 4,16.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui penerapan PBI untuk meningkatkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa pada materi kesebangunan. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif dengan menggunakan metode penelitian Pre-Experimental. Design yang digunakan ialah One-Group-Pretest-Posttest Design. Populasinya ialah semua siswa kelas IX SMPS Asoka Singkawang. Pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik sampling jenuh. Pengumpulan data menggunakan tes kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis, lembar observasi aktivitas belajar siswa, dan lembar observasi keterlaksanaan PBI. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu N-Gain dan persentase. Hasil penelitian membuktikan bahwa (1) Gain ternormalisasi 0,6 kriteria sedang sehingga terdapat peningkatan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa dengan menggunakan PBI (2) mean dari aktivitas belajar siswa tergolong sangat baik yaitu 91% (3) mean dari keterlaksanaan PBI tergolong sangat baik yaitu 95%. Berdasarkan pemaparan di atas, penerapan model PBI untuk siswa kelas IX di SMPS Asoka Singkawang terdapat peningkatan pada kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa, aktivitas siswa tergolong sangat baik, dan keterlaksanaan model pembelajaran tergolong sangat baik.

Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektifitas model pembelajaran Connecting, Oganizing, Reflekting Extending (CORE) untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis matematis siswa kelas VII. Jenis penelitian ini adalah (Quasi Experimental) dengan desain penelitian Nonequivalent Control Group Design. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah tes kemampuan berpikir kritis matematis, lembar pengamatan aktivitas, lembar angket motivasi. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan bahwa: (1) Terdapat perbedaan peningkatan kemampuan berpikir Kritis matematis siswa antara yang menggunakan Model Pembelajaran CORE dan yang menggunakan model pembelajaran langsung pada kelas VII SMP Negeri 09 Singkawang. (2) kemampuan berpikir kritis matematis yang menggunakan model pembelajaran CORE telah mencapai ketuntasan (nilai KKM 70) baik secara individual maupun klasikal pada materi segiempat. (3) Motivasi siswa tinggi saat diterapkan Model Pembelajaran CORE terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis matematis siswa pada kelas VII (4) Aktivitas siswa tergolong aktif saat diterapkan Model Pembelajaran CORE terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis matematis siswa. Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa model pembelajaran Connecting, Oganizing, Reflekting Extending (CORE) dapat meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis matematis siswa kelas VII.

Abstract

 One of the forms of business that may be done by a housewife is entrepreneurship, namely making APAYA (Abon Papaya). Processed food products made from papaya are chosen as an entrepreneurial business because they have good prospects. In addition to the young leaves as medicine, the fruit can be used as sweets, there are other food preparations made from papaya. Given the benefits and good nutritional content, papaya fruit verification is needed so that the product can be more acceptable to the community. The purpose of this activity is to inspire people about an idea and an entrepreneurial spirit with raw materials that are easily available and available around them so that they can increase household income. Through this service activity, assistance in making APAYA (Abon Papaya) into an economic commodity product in the form of shredded shredded can provide an alternative to new economic businesses in the community. The positive impact of this activity is to increase skills and knowledge related to the production of processed papaya fruit.

Abstract

GeLiS is an effort in the form of participatory activities involving school residents so that students get used to reading. The literacy skills of students in Kumba Village are sufficient. Based on the preliminary study, the library that should be used as a place to read books is only used as a place to store books. So with this GeLiS, it is hoped that students' reading literacy skills will increase. This activity aims to provide teachers with an understanding of GeLiS and provide examples of the implementation that teachers must do to support the literacy movement in elementary schools. The method used is the lecture method and questions and answers about the literacy movement in schools. The results of this activity indicate that the teacher's understanding of the literacy movement in elementary schools is good, and adapted to the abilities of students, while the implementation that teachers do in grade IV is still monitoring to improve reading and writing skills and to increase self-confidence through listening to the national compulsory anthem. , take turns reading picture story books provided in the reading corner and library.

Abstract

ABSTRACTThe purpose ofthis activity is to educate the community to know the symptoms of landslides and increase community awareness early on and provide assistance to the community to identify layers of soil or rocks that have the potential to cause landslides around residential areas using geoelectric. To achieve this goal, landslide disaster preparedness counseling activities are carried out for residents of Nyarumkop Singkawang Timur Village. The number of participants of the activity as many as 20 heads of families. Counseling activities carried out include coordination with the East Singkawang Sub-District and local RT, material briefings, simulation of landslide disaster mitigation, identification of potential landslides, and follow-up activities. The results of this community pengabdian    activities can be described as follows: The community has been aware of the symptoms of landslides and there is an increase in public awareness early on.
