Abstract

Human Resource Management must always be related to the goals and objectives of the organization (strategic alignment), Human Resource Management or ASN is carried out to motivate and also increase employee productivity in carrying out their duties so that they are able to contribute to achieving the goals and objectives of the Agency. The Research Design uses a qualitative approach. The results of the study illustrate that the development of apparatus resources needs to be focused on developing several things, namely: skills and expertise; insight and knowledge; talent and potential; personality and work motives; and morals and work ethic. Merit-based human resource management is believed to be able to attract the best people to work in an Agency. Lamongan Regent Regulation Number 18 of 2021 concerning the awarding of ASN awards is a real form of concern from the Government through the Lamongan Regency BKPSDM. the issuance of the Perbup regarding the awarding of awards is to increase the spirit of devotion as ASN, increase motivation and work enthusiasm in carrying out main tasks, increase ASN productivity performance, improve the quality of integrity in work and encourage exemplary values in work.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the implementation of the Government Job Training Institution Program in preparing the workforce, with a case study at the Job Training Center (BLK) of the Manpower & Transmigration Office of Pohuwato Regency. The research method used is qualitative descriptive. The informants in this study include the Head of Service, Secretary of Service, Head of Section, Instructor, and Training Participants. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling, which is a sample determination technique based on research considerations related to the object under study. Data were collected through direct interviews and observation, then analyzed using qualitative descriptive analysis. The results of the study indicate that the implementation of the Government Job Training Institution Program in preparing the workforce in Pohuwato Regency is a very important activity to improve the knowledge of job seekers and those who are already working. The success of this program is highly determined by several indicators such as Training Objectives, Materials, Methods Used, Training Participants, and Trainer (Instructor) Qualifications. Based on findings in the field, the qualifications of trainers (instructors) need to be improved, and it is even recommended to bring in trainers from outside the region to increase and expand participants' insights and apply updated materials.

Abstract

Mental disorders are serious problems that require special attention, especially for those who are neglected and do not receive adequate care. This study aims to see the role of the Batang Regency Social Service in handling People with Mental Disorders (ODGJ). This study uses qualitative methods with interview, observation, and documentation techniques to collect data. This study uses the role theory of Ilyas Yusuf (2014:05) with research variables including the role of the government as a Regulator, Facilitator, and Dynamicator. The results of the study stated that the role of the government as a regulator, the Batang Regency Social Service sets rules and policies related to handling People with Mental Disorders (ODGJ). Then the role of the government as a facilitator, they provide services and facilities that support rehabilitation and recovery, including access to health services and skills training, and the role of the government as a dynamicator, they work together with various parties and the community to increase awareness and involvement in supporting the handling of People with Mental Disorders (ODGJ). This study is expected to be a reference for local government policies and be useful for the community in dealing with mental health problems in Batang Regency.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of facilitation of the entrepreneurship incubation program organized by the Cooperative and UMKM Office of Cilegon City in increasing the competitiveness of UMKM. UMKM (Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises) have an important role in regional economic growth, including Cilegon City. The Cilegon City Government through the Cooperative and UMKM Office organizes an entrepreneurship incubation program as a form of facilitation to help UMKM develop. The entrepreneurship incubation program is an effort to provide support and assistance to UMKM so that they can develop and be competitive. The research method used is descriptive with a qualitative approach and the data collection techniques used consist of interviews, observations, and documents. The research respondents consisted of participants in the entrepreneurship incubation program and the Cooperative and UMKM Office of Cilegon City. The results of the study obtained are The results of the study indicate that the entrepreneurship incubation program has an important role in increasing the competitiveness of UMKM in Cilegon City. The Cooperative and UMKM Office acts as a facilitator in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of the entrepreneurship incubation program. This program is designed to increase the capacity and independence of UMKM through training, mentoring, and access to capital. However, there are several obstacles such as the lack of active participation from UMKM actors and limited resources. The strategies implemented include improving the quality of training, cooperation with external parties, and periodic evaluations. The right recommendation according to the results of this study is the need for a comprehensive investigation of concerns about the condition of UMKM in several aspects of the problems faced. Periodic evaluation of the entrepreneurial incubation program is needed so that it becomes a complete incubation service program and can run optimally.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the implementation of work discipline of civil servants at the Taluditi Sub-district Office, Pohuwato Regency, through a qualitative descriptive approach. The main focus of the study is on three forms of work discipline as stated by Mangkunegara, namely preventive, corrective, and progressive discipline. Data were collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation of 10 key informants, including sub-district heads, sub-district secretaries, section heads, and staff. The results of the study indicate that the implementation of work discipline has been going quite well, marked by the firmness of the leadership, compliance with working hours, and efforts to increase employee awareness. Preventive discipline is realized through the implementation of rules and routine socialization, corrective discipline through reprimands and sanctions, and progressive discipline through the threat of heavier penalties for repeated violations. Although there have been no serious violations, employee internal motivation is the main factor in the success of discipline. This study recommends the need for special training, a reward system, and strengthening internal regulations in order to build a professional and sustainable work culture.

Abstract

The objective of the research was to find out the kinds of error in using simple past tense of narrative text and dominant error made by the first grade students of SMP Negeri 1 Buntulia. This research employed descriptive research. The population of the research was the first grade students of SMP Negeri 1 Buntulia. The sample consisted of 20 students taken from each class in Academic Year 2023/2024. The data were collected through the students’ written test of narrative. The result of the research showed that there were 374 total error that the students made which were classified into four categories based on surface strategy taxonomy (SST). The error of omission was 90 errors, the error of addition was 48 errors, the errors of misformation was231 errors and the errors of misordering was 5 errors. The dominant error of the students were in misformation category. It can be seen from the percentage of the result where misformation were 62%, then followed by the error of omission with 24%, the error of addition with 13%, and the error of misordering with 1%. Based on the result of the research, it can be concluded that the first grade students of SMP Negeri 1 Buntulia had many errors in writing narrative text especially in using simple past tense. The students need more practice in using simple past tense in order to make them familiar with it and they can arrange a good narrative text.

Abstract

The purpose of this article is to analyze the positioning of the pioneer youth movements, namely Pandawara and KHM in Indonesia. The study of youth and ecology is an interesting study because so far the relationship between youth and ecology has not been well connected. However, in recent years it has been seen how the younger generation has begun to migrate towards the issues they raise. As a result of this issue migration activity, there is a tendency to strengthen the younger generation's issues in the field of ecology. This fact triggered the birth of various associations, groups, communities, youth movements or organizations which began to pay attention and concern to the ecological sector. This research uses a qualitative descriptive method. The author collected data using literature study steps. All data and facts are collected from various relevant literature in accordance with the main problem formulation that has been determined previously. The research results show that the birth of KHM and the emergence of the Pandawara Group are signs of the awakening of the younger generation where they have paid attention to ecological problems. The existence of this young generation has a central role in accelerating ecological justice in the future. The trend of the younger generation like KHM and Pandawara in the dynamic arena of the younger generation is a historical milestone that we never imagined that their positioning would be able to mobilize the strength of society to work together to build ecological awareness today.

Abstract

The study concludes that the implementation of performance monitoring and evaluation at the Pohuwato Regency Housing and Settlement Agency (Dinas PERKIM), particularly concerning the Regional Work Plan (Renja OPD) conducted quarterly, remains ineffective. This ineffectiveness stems from the inadequate fulfillment of established effectiveness criteria, including clear objectives, human resources, adequate infrastructure support, and adherence to a coherent value system. Only the organizational structure indicator was found to be functioning optimally. Key impediments identified include the absence of a dedicated operator for the e-Monev application, a lack of technological proficiency among human resources, habitual delays in data submission, and inherent imperfections within the e-Monev application itself. In response to these findings, the Development Division of the Pohuwato Regency Regional Secretariat (SETDA) has initiated a re-planning effort for the e-Monev application to enhance user comprehension. This initiative also encompasses providing further technical guidance (Bimtek) to all Regional Work Units (OPD) within Pohuwato Regency regarding the e-Monev application, allocating dedicated operators to manage monitoring and evaluation activities via the e-Monev platform, and meticulously planning human resource allocation in terms of both quantity and quality. Therefore, it is recommended that Dinas PERKIM Pohuwato Regency, in its execution of e-Monev-based monitoring and evaluation, consistently prioritize the quality and quantity of its existing human resources. Should deficiencies be identified, the agency ought to implement sound human resource management practices. This includes strategic human resource planning to meet organizational needs, and providing comprehensive development and training initiatives to enhance the capabilities, skills, and extensive knowledge of personnel, particularly in technology and the execution of e-Monev-based monitoring and evaluation.

Abstract

This study aims to investigate the difficulties faced by the students in using nominal sentences of simple present tense. the research was conducted at SMP Negeri 3 Duhiadaa with 20 students participating. The study employed a descriptive qualitative approach, with data collected through tests. The findings revealed that students struggled with constructing declarative, negative, and interrogative sentences, particularly with subject-verb agreement, verb forms, and sentence structure. The study also identified factors contributing to these difficulties, including limited practice, lack of understanding grammatical rules, and language interference. The results of this study can inform teaching practices and materials development to better support students in mastering nominal sentences of simple present tense.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the discourse in the short story "Rumah di Dalam Kepala" by Novand Subyanto Maxsonara using Critical Discourse Analysis (CDA) approach. The short story portrays the inner journey of the protagonist who carries a house in his head, a symbol of unresolved past trauma. This research examines the discourse structure, social representation, and how social power and ideology are reflected through the language used in the story. The short story addresses issues such as trauma, identity, and psychological healing, as well as depicting the relationship between the individual and society, which is often trapped in social stigma against individuals considered different. The findings of this research show that the symbolism of the house functions as an emotional and psychological space that holds memories and past wounds, while the protagonist's healing process reflects the difficulty of accepting the past and forming a new identity. This analysis also highlights how the short story critiques social norms and emphasizes the importance of providing space for individuals struggling with trauma to heal without stigma.
