Abstract

Abstract

This paper aims to explain the position and role of Indonesian Women's Ulama in responding to the socialproblems of women in the patriarchal culture of Ulamā’ which is dominated by male Ulamā’ in Indonesia. UsingPeter L.Berger and Luckmann's (1966) social construction theory, this paper seeks to explore the capacity ofIndonesian Women’s Ulama in solving socio-religious problems, especially in the field of female law and socialissues in Indonesia. Law-making in Indonesia cannot be separated from the patriarchal construction built bythe intellectual hegemony of male Ulamā’ (Islamic scholars) and the existence of social inequality betweenmen and women in the dominance of social interpretations which results in the dominance of masculinity inthe public sector. This paper uses qualitative research methods with data collection techniques in the form ofobservation and documentation. The conclusions of this paper are 1) the intellectual ahistorism of women sociallyconstructed through verbalization, visualization, and adaptation in the socio-cultural scientific tradition; 2) thecultural backwardness experienced by women when men step forward in their socio-cultural intellect in thepublic sector such as law, education, politics and economics.

The article from the field research using the followingqualitative method contains an interpretive description of various non-military threats frominternal conditions, as well as external influences. Abstract

As part of the ecological system, humans have a dominant role in determining the good andbad of the environment. The stability and comfort of the environment depend on the positivebehavior around the elements of the ecosystem in it, including humans. The emergence of variousenvironmental problems is also inseparable from human indiscipline in protecting and preservingthem. An environment that is maintained properly, will respond positively by providing greatbenefits to humans. Otherwise, an environment that is treated badly will repay with damage anddisaster. The leadership of the Faculty of Ushuluddin and Da’wah at IAIN Kediri was fully aware ofthis, especially the Hadith Science Study Program. This awareness forms a religious constructionbased on an understanding of religious texts, particularly Hadith. Through qualitative research, this reality will be described descriptively and analytically. The results illustrate that the epitomeconstruction of environmental conservation activities is manifested in participation in the GreenCampus program. The sociological construction contestation was seen in the leadership of the HadithScience Study Program and the academic community for the absorption of religious teaching, thusgenerating practices in the form of involvement in tree and flower planting activities in the Facultyof Ushuluddin and Da’wah.

Abstract

The market relocation policy aims that better and cleaner city arrangement because in fact the presence of aninappropriate market raises several fundamental problems such as a narrow, less strategic market location, its proximity to gas stations, and traffic congestion. Unfortunatelly, many problems happen because of policiesregarding market relocation implementation. This study uses a quantitative approach with the technique ofdetermining informants using purposive sampling. Data collection techniques using interviews, observation anddocumentation. Data analysis was using data reduction techniques, data presentation and drawing conclusions. The results showed that the market relocation policy implementation was carried out through the socialization, structuring and controlling stages. However, in the relocation implementation, there are some traders whoreturn to the old market. The neglect of the lack of compliance by some traders raises the assumption thatthe Regional Government is inconsistent in implementing the policies that have been issued. Judging from theprinciples of good governance, the local government where the research was conducted has only applied threeprinciples, namely participation, transparency and accountability. The research results also show that the lackof facilities and infrastructure, low compliance of traders and the impression of inconsistency of the governmentin implementing policies that have been issued are the obstacles of these policies implementation.
