Abstract

Arrester is a device used to protect equipment and electrical systems against overvoltage that one reason is the surge of lightning. Because lightning is a natural phenomenon that the process can not be predicted about time and magnitude of the impulse currents, and if arrester hit by lightning impulse with high peak current value and than arrester is feared can not operate as it should. This research use three impulse current peak value there are 533.33A (0.03 pu), 3866.6A (0.3 pu) and 6858.7A (0.5 pu) tested at low voltage arresters. The test results shown the highest value of leakage current arrester at a maximum voltage of operation (Uc) after buffeted by the current impulse has a value of leakage current 0,32 mA, 0,33 mA and 0,33 mA respectively, still below 1 mA (corresponding international standard IEC 61643-1 Edition 2.0 03/2005). Based on the value of leakage current, it can be said that the arresters in good condition and have not changed the characteristics of volt-ampere (current leaking still relatively the same) and still have good insulating properties even after the current impulse overwritten. The highest value of residual voltage arresters at the peak impulse voltage 10 kV, 15 kV, 20 kV and 24 kV, is 1124 Volt meaning that the margin has exceeded the limit of endurance voltage VW1 class (1000 Volts) amounted to 112.4%, and not exceed the VW2 (2000 Volt) amounted to 43.5%, according to ISO standard 04-7021.21-2004, arresters can be used to protect the electrical equipment with voltage endurance on VW2 class.

Abstract

Konsumsi energi yang berasal dari bahan bakar fosil yang semakin tinggi dan ketersediannya di alam yang terbatas sehingga jumlahnya makin lama semakin berkurang, memaksa orang untuk mencari alternatif sumber energi lain. Energi angin menjadi salah satu energi alternatif yang penting dan diperhitungkan sejak adanya krisis energi dan isu lingkungan (polusi udara) akibat penggunaan bahan bakar fosil. Energi angin dimanfaatkan dengan cara mengubah gerakan angin menjadi energi listrik dengan turbin angin (wind turbine). Banyak turbin angin dengan skala besar yang telah dibuat atau dikembangkan di berbagai negara karena terbukti sangat efektif untuk menghasilkan energi listrik. Turbin angin skala kecil juga ikut dibuat dan dikembangkan hingga saat ini karena beberapa kelebihannya jika dibandingkan dengan turbin angin skala besar. Kelebihan itu diantaranya tidak terbatasnya daerah atau lokasi pemasangan turbin angin karena ukurannya yang kecil sehingga dapat ditempatkan di daerah seperti perkotaan. Untuk turbin angin skala kecil, jenis vertical axis wind turbine (vawt) sangatlah cocok digunakan di daerah perkotaan karena karakteristik VAWT yang dapat bergerak tanpa tergantung arah angin, hal ini sesuai dengan karakteristik angin perkotaan. Selain itu, VAWT dapat bergerak dan menghasilkan energi listrik pada kondisi kecepatan angin yang rendah. Penelitian ini fokus pada perancangan VAWT skala kecil yang dapat diaplikasikan pada kecepatan angin rendah dan berubah-ubah arah seperti karakteristik angin di perkotaan Indonesia serta analisis aerodinamika menggunakan metode double-multiple stream-tube (DMS).

Abstract

ABSTRAK Bauksit, sebagai bijih utama aluminium, mempunyai kualitas yang baik jika mengandung kadar alumina (Al2O2) yang tinggi dan reaktif silika (RSiO2) rendah. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk memetakan distribusi spasial kadar Al2O3 dan RSiO2 menggunakan metode interpolasi ordinary kriging (OK) dan inverse distance weighting (IDW). Fitting variogram dilakukan dengan model spherical, exponential, dan gaussian, dan pemilihan variogram dilakukan dengan parameter residual sum of square (RSS). Dalam proses interpolasi IDW menggunakan power 1, 2, 3 dan 4. Evaluasi metode interpolasi terbaik dilakukan dengan parameter root mean square error (RMSE) dan mean error (ME). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bawa metode interpolasi OK lebih baik dibandingkan dengan metode IDW. Peta hasil interpolasi OK menggambarkan bahwa distribusi bauksit dengan konsentrasi kadar Al2O3 ≥ 48% dan RSiO2 ≤ 5% menempati kurang lebih 50% dari luas daerah penelitian. Distribusi bauksit dengan kadar tersebut masih terbuka dan menerus ke arah utara, barat dan tenggara.Kata Kunci: Bauksit, Variogram, Kriging

Abstract

A hybrid vertical take-off landing (VTOL) UAV combines the concepts of fixed-wing and rotary-wing UAV aircraft in one platform while performing in both conventional and vertical take-off landings. This aircraft has a drawback of significant drag force generated due to fixed-wing. Therefore, a Tilt-Wing often utilized to overcome this obstacle whereby it could be adjusted to the vertical and horizontal directions. To enhance the understanding of generated drag force on both wing model, this study was performed by examine the drag characteristic of the VTOL UAV. The simulations were carried out in the wind speed range by 1.4 m/s, 4.17 m/s, and 6.94 m/s. Simulation results showed that the drag of the UAV Hybrid Tilt-Wing and Fixed-Wing increased at the speed of 1.4 m/s to 6.94 m/s while the highest drag value was 177.51 N on a Fixed-Wing UAV aircraft and 1.97 N on a Tilt-Wing UAV aircraft. The result concluded that Tilt-Wing UAV has less drag which was more efficient than fixed-wing.

Abstract

The small size of the quadcopter and the low inertia of the drone allows the use of a simple flight control system, with the practicality of the Quadcopter it is hoped that it can be used for disaster management so as to increase regional resilience. Quadcopters issued by the company cannot be changed. This research is done by assembling the quadcopter itself and making changes to the propeller pitch to determine the effect of thrust and thrust motor on a quadcopter type x. From the results of research and calculations carried out, the thrust produced with a 50o pitch angle is greater than the 43o pitch angle for each movement, so the greater the pitch angle, the greater the thrust generated by the propeller. . The voltage that enters each motor will be different depending on its movement. So, the greater the voltage that enters the brushless motor, the higher the rotation of the motor so that the thrust generated is also greater.

Abstract

TNI sebagai kekuatan inti pertahanan negara mempunyai unit Satuan Siber TNI (Satsiber TNI). Namun Satsiber TNI mempunyai kendala dalam pemenuhan tenaga sumber daya manusia yang memiliki kualifikasi di bidang siber dan berdampak pada kosongnya beberapa jabatan. Sistem rekrutmen yang berjalan saat ini masih menggunakan metode tradisional. Oleh karena itu, perlu adanya aplikasi sistem penunjang keputusan dalam proses rekutmen Satsiber TNI. Metode yang dapat digunakan dalam membangun SPK adalah metode AHP dan TOPSIS. Tujuan dari penelitian ini membangun sistem penunjang keputusan berbasis website untuk memilih calon anggota Satsiber TNI menggunakan metode AHP dan TOPSIS. Penelitian ini menghasilkan aplikasi sistem penunjang keputusan yang lebih efektif dan efesien dalam proses rekrutmen calon anggota Satsiber TNI.

Abstract

STTNAS building is a five floor building that located in the city o f Yogyakarta which is an area with a high intensity earthquake occurrence. The purpose o f this study is (1) determine the value o f the natural frequencies o f the building, (2) determine the index o f the resonance o f the building and (3) the vulnerability o f buildings to earthquakes. Research will be done by measuring the microtremor wave o f building STTNAS then analyzed using Spectral Floor Ratio (FSR). The analysis result is then compared with the classification defined in ISO 2002 on building resilience planning procedures earthquake. Fekuensi natural on the east-west component is 1.64 Hz and the north-south component is 1.644 Hz that is in conformity with the ISO 2002. Resonance Index o f building STTNAS is ranging from 31.00081 to 35.883% thus including the low category resonance during an earthquake. Building of STTNAS vulnerability index ranges are between 103,670.6191 to 82526.5357 with the highest value found on the 4th floor.

Abstract

Structuring and technical planning for the development of a watershed requires analysis of hydrological characteristics. This study aimed to analyze the hydrology characteristics of Gajahwong river to be formulated technical effort Gajahwong watershed development. Stages of analysis using secondary data from the Balai PSDA DIY Province, such as watershed maps, daily rain, rain hourly, daily discharge, discharge offlood and flood event records from 2001 to 2013. Analysis of peak flow /flood hydrograph using frequency analysis methods and Collins unit hydrograph methods. While the low-flow analysis using the model HSS Gama I and HS Gama II. The tools used are ArcView, frequency analysis program and Solver are contained in Microsoft Excel. Based on the analysis o f the peak flow of the flood discharge of 20 annual plan obtained 332 m3/ s happened in the 4th hour. While based on a low-flow analysis it can be concluded that during the dry season are still available Gajahwong river flow is sufficient to meet the needs o f well water for irrigation, fisheries and river tours.

Abstract

In the era of globalization, educational institutions are required to follow the development of information technology. Information technology required and can be applied as a decision support tool managerial activities at the college. This research aims to develop a decision support system for the Sekolah Tinggi Teknologi Adisutjipto (STTA), namely the acceptance of new students, especially the path of achievement, using the Simple Multi Attribute Rating Technique of Web based, where in the method is choosing alternative criteria that have value and weight has been determined, getting the new students he deserves. Based on the results of testing the system, it was concluded that the method is Simple Multi Attribute Rating Technique is effective enough to be applied in determining the admission of new students in STTA.

Abstract

Technology makes it easy to get various information. Various sources can be easily accessed. The speed of providing up-to-date information on social media has become one of the necessities of late. Indirectly assist the dissemination of various information in Indonesia. Technological updates make no geographical barrier, norms, ethical boundaries, less visible. The various facilities offered will have a higher value if the truth of the information can be accounted for. On the other hand as a human being still has inherent human rights, as well as citizens. Therefore, in accessing, utilizing and disseminating various information obtained required a filter called information literacy. Anyone who has had information literacy does not easily disseminate information without first checking the truth. Distribution of various information that is correct and polite will make the recipient of information reasoning well so it is not easy to be hooked to do something unsettling.
