Abstract

 Pegas adalah suatu komponen yang berfungsi untuk menerima beban dinamis dan memberikan kenyamanan dalam berkendara. Permasalahan yang sering dialami oleh pegas daun adalah patah akibat beban lebih atau kondisi jalan yang kurang baik. Penanganan pada hal seperti ini adalah penyambungan menggunakan las SMAW.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh variasi arus pengelasan terhadap kekuatan impak, kekerasan dan Struktur mikro. Jenis las yang digunakan adalah las SMAW. Variasi arus pengelasan yang digunakanadalah 100 A, 120 A dan 140 A. Jenis kampuh yang digunakan adalah jenis kampuh V.Hasil uji kekuatan impak tertinggi diperoleh pada variasi arus 100 A yaitu sebesar 1,698 J/mm2. Hasil uji kekerasan tertinggi diperoleh pada variasi arus 140 A yaitu sebesar 355,338 HVN. Struktur mikro pada daerah las memiliki ukuran butiran yang semakin besar dan struktur perlit yang semakin banyak untuk variasi arus 140 A.

Abstract

This research aims to investigate the effects of albasia wood filler as alternative reinforcement for extravagant and non-renewable filler being used in epoxy composites. The filler size used was 30 mesh and various filler volume fractions were 10, 20, 30 and 40 percent. Composites were manufactured using hand lay-up method. Properties such as tensile strength, elongation, modulus elasticity and strain energy absorption were determined based on ASTM standard. The results show that filler volume content significantly affects the tensile properties and impact strength of albasia wood-epoxy composites. The optimum tensile properties are achieved when 10 percent filler is added into epoxy matrix. The impact test also shows the same results. Further addition of filler decreases the mechanical properties of composites due to the existence of weak interfacial interaction between the albasia wood filler and polymer matrix for higher filler volume concentration beyond 10 vol. %. The scanning electron micrograph reveals that there are voids and pull-out mechanism on tensile fracture surface which are the cause of the composites failure.

Abstract

Nautical chart is a sea map made from paper and has a function to safety of navigation at sea as it provides vital information such as configuration of the coastline, depth of the sea, seabed nature, hazardous location, height and navigation aids. Sailing at sea and on the waters are not always safe as many navigational hazards threaten at any time, therefore the role of nautical charts is essential. Inaccuracy in estimating the number of nautical chart production has affected the amount of stockpiles in the warehouse, this is very inefficient for sales unit of Primkopal Pushidrosal. Consequently, the making of an appropriate forecasting model to predict the amount of stock in the coming period is expected to overcome these problems. The data which had been used in this research is Indonesian nautical chart sales  from January 2012 to March 2019 in the Java area  for 87 periods from January 2012 to March 2019 to predict the number of product requests for the coming 8 periods from April to November 2019, as the most densely sea traffic hence nautical charts in this area are the most utilized. The quantitative analysis of the model uses the Integrated Moving Average Autoregressive (ARIMA) method approach where the stages are from identification of model, estimation of parameter and diagnostic tests, because this method is good enough to predict short-term periods and is suitable for predicting the magnitude of any variable in time series data. Processing data uses Minitab 17 software and the results of the research showed that 87 of these periods where the data has not been stationer against mean, so it must be differentiated level 1 in order to be stationary and the ARIMA model is ARIMA(0,1,1) by equation  Xt = - 0.551 + Xt − 1 - 0.85et– 1.

Abstract

Lokasi penambangan PIT DE PT. Pipit Mutiara Jaya, Site Bebatu dengan lahan seluas 3.024 Ha terletak di Desa Bebatu Kebun, Kecamatan Sesayap Hilir, Kabupaten Tana Tidung, Provinsi Kalimantan Utara. Metode estimasi yang digunakan yaitu metode sayatan penampang (cross section) yang berdasarkan pada pedoman rule o f gradual changes dan rule o f nearest point. Estimasi pedoman rule o f gradual changes didapatkan total cadangan terkira adalah 2.605.121,944 ton, volume material gambut adalah 811.218,008 m3, volume material softclay adalah 4.413.869,289 m3, volume mixing adalah 2.206.934,637 m3 dan volume material hardclay adalah 11.638.177,066 m3. Perhitungan berdasarkan pedoman rule o f nearest point sebagai berikut: total cadangan terkira adalah 3.047.878,132 ton, volume material gambut adalah 918.114,558 m3, volume material softclay adalah 5.040.942,037 m3, volume mixing adalah 2.520.471,018 m3 dan volume material hardclay adalah 12.858.788,961 m3. Nilai stripping ratio dari hasil kedua perhitungan adalah sebagai berikut: untuk pedoman rule o f gradual changes dengan nilai SR 7,32 BCM : 1 ton dan untuk pedoman rule o f nearest point dengan nilai SR 7 BCM : 1 ton.

Abstract

Salah satu ironi dalam aplikasi geologi yaitu kita berhadapan dengan data fasies sebagai fungsi waktu, tetapi jarang dilakukan analisa statistiknya. Metoda Rantai Markov (Markov Chains) adalah salah satu cara untuk melakukan analisis perulangan fasies atau jenis batuan yang nantinya akan membantu dalam memprediksi dinamika sedimentasi. Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu melakukan analisa perulangan fasies dengan menggunakan metode markov chains. Metode statistik yang digunakan adalah deskriptif evaluatif dan diolah menggunakan Statistik Inferensial yaitu markov chains untuk mengetahui analisa perulangan fasies atau jenis batuan. Berdasarkan hasil analisis diketahui bahwa hadirnya suatu fasies dalam arti luas,tergantung pada fasies sebelumnya. Hal ini ditunjukkan dengan uji chi square dengan nilai x^hitung (10456) > x^tabel(51). Metode markov chains dapat melakukan analisa perulangan fasies yaitu dengan melihat matriks probabilitas transisi yang dapat memprediksi kehadiran fasies yang akan muncul selanjutnya sesuai dengan data yang ingin diketahui yang diprediksi dengan hadirnya fasies sebelumnya.

Abstract

One commonality or similarity matching phase characteristics of an image is by using the method of distance measurement. Distance is an important aspect in the development of methods of grouping and regression. Before the grouping of data or object to the detection process, first determined the size of the proximity distance between data elements. In this study, there will be a comparison of several methods including distance measurement using Euclidean distance, Manhattan/ City Block Distance, Mahalanobis which will be implemented in the case of cumulonimbus image clouds detection using Principal Component Analysis (PCA). The average percentage of accuracy of image similarity value Cumulonimbus clouds using the Euclidean distance method was 93 percent and the distance Manhattan/ City Block Distance is 90 percent, while the Mahalanobis distance method was 50 percent.

Abstract

This study aims to develop the technology of unmanned aircraft for agricultural purposes in realizing the food security of Indonesia. One of the main problems of agriculture in Indonesia is the high cost of agriculture especially the use of chemicals, fertilizer to labor. During this time farmers spend resources such as fertilizer to all plants without the required portion. So it should be attempted an engineering that can reduce the cost of agriculture in terms of labor usage for fertilizing activities and spraying of pests are relatively expensive. The method that will be used for the problem is to make a prototype of pest spraying system by using liquid media on platform unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) with quadcopter base. Stages in this research include: desk assessment, making of design requirement objective, conceptual making and basic design and making real prototype UAV. The performance of the spraying results is done flight stability test and pest spraying performance. The test results show that the prototype UAV platform using 0.5 litres liquid media, capable of spraying an area of 2 m2 with a flying time of 10 minutes with a height of 70 cm from the ground. The results of this test will be developed further to be made a larger platform dimensions and capability of transport.

Abstract

An Air Traffic Controller (ATC) operator is required to always concentrate on monitoring navigation, radiation as well as supervising and implementing aircraft guidance. Obviously such work can lead to a mental workload on the worker. Based on these problems, it is necessary to do a research on the analysis of mental workload on the operator ATC at XYZ Airport. Measurement of mental workload can be done in two ways: subjective measurement and objective measurement. Subjective measurements of the mental workload can be done with NASA-TLX method. While the objective measurement can be done by doing the measurement physiologically such as through the heart rate. The results showed that the metal workload of ATY operator of XYZ Airport was in high category and very high base on subjective measurement. Performance level is the dominant factor causing high mental work load perceived by ATC operator. While based on the objective measurement found that the mental workload of ATC operators are in the medium category.

Abstract

Colombo High School is an educational institution in charge of handling activities related to education. As an educational institution at present the 2013 curriculum report data management still uses Microsoft Excel applications with the step of the subject teacher submitting the file value to the homeroom teacher and the homeroom teacher will process the value data and submit it to the curriculum section for printing. Of course this requires a long time and is not effective. Another problem that arises is that the current process is perceived to be less optimal and efficient, the guardian of the student must go to the school every semester which requires a lot of time for the guardians of students who cannot attend the division of the Colombo High School students' achievement report and the report can only be seen at a certain time. This research was designed and built using the CodeIgniter framework and uses a MySQL database as well as the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) method of the waterfall model which can help the school, namely teachers, homerooms and curriculum parts in terms of report card management and for learners.

Abstract

Dirgantara Marsekal Suryadarma University (Unsurya) needs to improve the information system for the students. So that it needs to do a software quality test in SIAKAD and to ensure the feature and the function run well. It has a goal to know the quality of a software by testing from functional suitability, performance efficiency, compatibility, security and maintainability standardized by ISO/IEC 25010. It is done to improve the quality of academic information system to be better. This research analyzed the software quality insurance of academic information system in Unsurya by testing the aspects from main menu such as transcript, study plan, lecturer’s evaluation of learning activity, the print out of exam card, the consultation of academic supervisor, consultation from Head of Study Program and student’s financial. Based on the suitability functional and efficiency performance testing using black box in Unsurya SIAKAD system, it runs well although some functions don’t work well. The result for compatibility in SIAKAD Unsurya, it works in line with the browser in the desktop or mobile.  Based on the security test using audit system, it results the value 90 (B) with 1 medium risk and 9 low risk.   Based on the maintainability test, it results SIAKAD which is able to give a system needed by the students.
