Abstract

Pelayanan yang prima sangat dibutuhkan dalam memenuhi kepuasan pelanggan untuk sebuah perusahaan mencapai World Class Services, dan kecepatan pelayanan menjadi target utama dalam pencapaian kepuasan pelanggan di PT PLN (Persero). Untuk mewujudkannya maka PT PLN (Persero) melakukan restrukturisasi melalui Program Debirokratisasi.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis perbedaan kondisi perusahaan sebelum dan setelah dilakukan restrukturisasiterhadap kinerja perusahaan, kepuasan karyawan, dan kepuasan pelanggan dengan melihat perbedaan pada 2 (dua) area yang belum dan sudah direstrukturisasi, atas dasar ini diajukan model teoritis dan 3 hipotesis untuk diuji beda dengan uji-t tidak berpasangan. Sampel penelitian ini adalah 57 karyawan dan 103 pelanggan pada PT. PLN (Persero) Area Magelang dan UL Salatiga.Hasil dari analisis memiliki nilai t-hitung kinerja perusahaan -0,91 (t-tabel 1,99), kepuasan karyawan 7,76 (t-tabel 2,00) , dan kepuasan pelanggan 4,11 (t-tabel 1,98) yang menunjukkan bahwa restrukturisasi berpengaruh positif dan tidak signifikan terhadap kinerja perusahaan, sedangkan terhadap kepuasan karyawan dan kepuasan pelanggan restrukturisasi berpengaruh negatif dan signifikan.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah  untuk mencari jawaban  atas . masalah penelitian yang  diajukan yaitu implementasi kualitas hubungan pemasok  dengan perusahaan  melalui faktor kepercayaan pemasok terhadap perusahaan  dan  komunikasi pemasok terhadap  perusahaan yang  dapat meningkatkan  kinerja  rantai pasokan perusahaan.Penelitian  telah  dilakukan  dengan men(Jgunakan  survei terhadap para pemasok  PT JamuJago.  Data  dikumpulkan  dengan  menggunakan  angket yang berisikan pertanyaan yang berhubungan  dengan penelitian  dan  dianalisis  dengan menggunakan  analisis  Struktural Equation Model  (SEM).Hasil idenfikasi menunjukkan  bahwa  fungsi dan  keberadaan  dari antesenden  dari kualitashubungan adalah  mempunyai peranan yang  tinggi dalam  menentukkan  kinerja  rantaipasokan. Berdasarkan analisis pengaruh dapat disimpulkan ternyata komunikasi mempunyai pengaruh yang lebih tinggi terhadap peningkatan kinerja rantai pasokan dibandingkan dengan kepercayaan.

Abstract

By understanding the cointegration between one capital market with other capital markets,  it can assist investors in determining which of the capital  market  will be used to form the International diversification in order to provide a potential advantage.  In research on the cointegration of capital markets has been done by Fratzscher (2002), Murtini and Ekawati (2003), Karim, Kassim, dan Arip (2010), Srikanth and Aparna (2012), by taking a few sample of some of the capital market in the world revealeddifferent results, instead of giving rise to a research gap. Therefore, it is necessary to do a deeper study because a different result occured after the economic crisis of United States and Europe in 2008. Research problem to be studied is to analyze the cointegration between the Indonesian capital market with the U.S. capital markets (DJIA) and the European capital markets (FTSE 100, IBEX 35 and ATHEX).This reseach method uses quantitative research. The sample of research is the data from IHSG, DJIA index, FTSE 100 index,  IBEX 35 index, and ATHEX index that limited in weekend closing data during the observation period between 2008-2012. Data analysis techniques using Johansen Cointegration Test, Augmented Dickey-Fuller (ADF) Test and Granger Causality Test within 5% significance.The results of this study would be indicate that the Indonesian capital market has been cointegrated  with U.S. stock market (DJIA), UK stock market  (FTSE 100), Spain stock market (IBEX 35) and Greek capital market (ATHEX). Indeed, the Indonesian Capital Market connected to U.S. and Europe Capital Markets have a causal relationship.

Abstract

Some  research findings  indicate  that there  are different  views of what managers  really  do  in  managing their  organisations.   One of them shows  that  what  managers  actually do  cannot  be classified into  planning, organising,  leading,  and controlling. As a result,  one might claim that understanding  characterisation of managerial process  is useless. However,   in this paper  it  is argued  that understanding  characteristics  of mana­ gerial process    is useful for  managers  to help them   cope with the  rapid changes   in  business  environment. It  is also claimed that  managerial process is  a political  system  and a game that  take place  in a wide  arena.  It  is highly  interdependent,  contextual,   less systematic,  and    changeable. Managerial process   also  involves the need for  setting  agenda, building network,  and managing discourses,   interactions,  symbols, and organisational politics. Finally,  it is believed  that understanding  characterisation  of managerial process   lead managers  to have  deep  understanding  of organisational dynamics and changes  in business  environment,   and  to have special  skills  that are required to cope with  the  changing  environment.

Abstract

Studi  ini meneliti pengaruh komitmen organisasi dan gaya kepemimpinan terhadap hubungan antara partisipasi anggaran dan kinerja manajerial.  Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk menemukan bukti empiris tentang (a) hubungan dan pengaruh posistif dan signifikan antara partisipasi anggaran dan kinerja manajerial; (b) komitmen organlsasi dapat menjadi moderasi hubungan antara partisipasi anggaran dan kinerja manajerial; dan (c) gaya kepemimpinan dapat menjadi moderasi hubungan antara partisipasi anggaran dan kinerja manajerial. Responden penelitian ini pimpinan (manajer) kantor cabang utama bank-bank di Jakarta, dengan populasi sebesar 170 kantor cabang utama. Pengumpulan data dilakukan selama tiga bulan, mulai pertengahan September 2004 sampai pertengahan Desember 2004. Dari 170 kuesioner yang dlsampaikan, diterima kembali dan  diisi lengkap sebanyak 90 kuesioner (52,94%). Pengumpulan data dngan daftar pertanyaan yang diadopsi dari peneliti terdahulu. Data yang dikumpulkan diolah dengan menggunakan moderating regression analysis (MRA) dan regresi lnteraksi antarvariabel. Hasil penelitlan adalah (1) terdapat pengaruh dan hubungan negatif yang signifikan antara kinerja manajerial dan partisipasi anggaran,  (2) pengaruh komitmen organisasl terhadap hubungan kinerja manajerial dan partisipasl anggaran adalah positif dan signifikan, dan (3) pengaruh gaya kepemimpinan terhadap hubungan antara partisipiasi anggaran dan kinerja manajerial adalah tidak signifikan.

Abstract

Emitter as a company can not run from various economic occurrences. These economic occurrences are accepted by market as information that will be responded by all market participle troughs the stocks trade activity in capital market. Stock split is an activity to increase the number of stocks and will influence the stocks liquidity. One of the responses can be perceived by bid-ask spread.This research aims to analyze whether stock price, trading volume and variance of return have an effect to bid-ask spread around the announcement of stock split. In addition, this research also aims to examine the influence of the announcement of stock split on bid-ask spread. This research used 39 companies announcing of stock split in the Jakarta Stock Exchange during 2000-2004. Perception was conducted 5 days before until 5 days after stock split. A multiple regression analysis was used to examine the effect of stock price, trading volume and variance of return on bid-ask spread. Furthermore, this research used paired sample t-test analysis to examine the different of bid-ask spread before and after the announcement of stock split.The result indicates that stock price had a positive insignificant influence on bid-ask spread before stock split, but stock price had a positive significant influence on bid-ask spread after stock split. Trading volume and variance of return had a positive significant influence on bid-ask spread before and after stock split. The result also shows that there was significant difference between bid-ask spread before and after the announcement of stock split.

Abstract

The objective of this study is to investigate the moderating impact of income smoothing on the incremental information content of cash flow. More specifically, this study examines whether cash flows have incremental information content beyond earnings for the higher income-smoothing index. The cash flows information include both information of total cash flows (hypothesis 1) and information of cash flows from operating, investing, and financing activities (hypothesis 2). The hypotheses are tested applying contextual models, i.e., cumulative abnormal returns (CAR) are regressed on unexpected earnings, unexpected cash flows, the interaction between unexpected earnings and income smoothing index, and the interaction between unexpected cash flows and income smoothing index.Using observation period 1995-1996 with 91 cases, results of this study show that the null hypothesis 1 and the null hypothesis 2 can be rejected, primarily for event window [O, +5]. The results of this study indicate the moderating impact of income smoothing on incremental information content of cash flows. For the higher income-smoothing index, cash flows have incremental information content beyond earnings. Therefore, the cash flows information as stated in the PSAK No. 2 is useful to investor, specifically for the higher income smoothing index.

Abstract

This research is based on assumption that cooperation contribution toward small entrepreneurs’ development has not been felt especially for the coop members. Based on this, the research is aimed at identifying how far cooperation contribution toward small entrepreneurs’ development, also identifying the variety of activies in that cooperation has the biggest contribution. Data is collected through purposive random sampling method. While data is analyzed with ANOVA model. The result of analysis shows that cooperation services and activities have satisfied almost all member and society of cooperation. However, the member and society’s Rural and Urban Cooperation differ in stating the cooperation’s activities, which satisfied them.Based on the cooperation’s activities which can satisfy both member’s and society Rural and Urban Cooperation can be defined the activities which the both cooperation has the biggest contribution. Those are; Capital Loan, Production and Marketing.

Abstract

Turnover intentions in hospitality industry is a signal of the employee turnover in the industry. The company shall give a serious attention because a high turnover within a company can interrupt activities and productivities. Beside, turnover can also create instability and uncertainty of employee condition. According to the above, the researcher argues that it is necessary to have a further examination about the relationship between job satisfaction and organizational commitment, and turnover intentions in the hospitality industry.The deep theory analysis of variables affecting turnover intentions brings the researcher to develop a research model consisting of three variables which are job satisfaction, organizational commitment, and turnover intentions as well as three research hypotheses. Data of job satisfaction, organizational commitment and turnover intentions is obtained through interviews using questionnaires to 142 respondents who are employees of the Novotel Hotel. Then, data is analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) Technique of Analysis.The result of the three research hypotheses test using SEM shows that job satisfaction has a positive and significant effect on organizational commitment, organizational commitment has a positive and significant effect on turnoverintentions, and job satisfaction statistically proven that it does not have any significant effect on turnover intentions.Based on that results, therefore the research questions are solved. That turnover intentions is affected by organizational commitment. Therefore, in order to push the turnover intentions in a low number, the management need to take efforts to improve the organizational commitment of the employees.

Abstract

AbstrakPenelitian ini ditujukan untuk menguji  persepsi pengaruh pengetahuan keuangan, sikap keuangan, social  demografi  terhadap perilaku keuangan dalam pengambilan  keputusan investasi  individu.  Sampel pada penelitian  ini adalah mahasiswa Magister  Manajemen Universitas Diponegoro  dengan populasi  sebanyak 135 responden dan sampel yang kembali sebanyak 102 responden.  Dalam penelitian digunakan metode  Analisis Regresi Berganda dan Uji Beda T-Test dengan menggunakan SPSS IBM 20 untuk menganalisis data.Hasilanalisis menunjukkan bahwa pengetahuan keuangan, sikap keuangan dan sosial demografi berpengaruh terhadap pengambilan  keputusan investasi  individu. Temuan  empiris  tersebut  mengindikasikan bahwa pengetahuan keuangan berpengaruh secara signifikan  terhadap pengambilan  keputusan investasi  dengan nilai sigifikansi  sebesar 0,003;  sikap keuangan berpengaruh signifikan pengambilan keputusan investasi dengan nilai sigifikansi sebesar 0,001;  sosial demografi berpengaruh signifikan pengambilan keputusan investasi dengan nilai sigifikansi  sebesar 0,019;  tidak terdapat perbedaan pengambilan keputusan investasi berdasarkan status pekerjaan dengan nilai signifikansi  0,411  lebih besar dari 5%.
