Abstract

High level of traffic density can lead to traffic jam those will make troublesome for driver to reach destination with alternative shortest path on time. Therefore, it is neccessary to make an agent that can choose optimal route without being stuck on traffic jam. In this paper, algorithm for choose optimal route is A* method for shortest path problem and use backtrack process when there is a traffic jam occurs on several roads. The design of algorithm is tested by using data which contain 100 locations or nodes and 158 roads or paths in Gading Serpong with an agent that can searching shortest path and sensor module that can send the traffic status based on number of vehicle on several particular node. Based on testing, A* method does not guarantee for path selection if agent is not full observable with environment and there is some case that can lead a worst case. Index Terms— A* Algorithm, Backtrack, Shortest Path, Traffic Density

Abstract

University Course Timetabling Problem is a problem faced by every university, one of which is Universitas Multimedia Nusantara. Timetabling process is done by allocating time and space so that the whole associated class and course can be implemented. In this paper, the problem will be solved by using MAX-MIN Ant System Algorithm. This algorithm is an alternative approach to ant colony optimization. This algorithm uses two tables of pheromones as stigmergy, i.e. timeslot pheromone table and room pheromone table. In addition, the selection of timeslot and room is done by using the standard deviation of the value of pheromones. Testing is carried out by using 105 events, 45 timeslots, and 3 types of categories based on the number of rooms provided, i.e. large, medium, and small. In each category, testing is performed 5 times and for each testing, the data recorded is the unplace and Soft Constraint Penalty. In general, the greater the number of rooms, the smaller the unplace. Index Terms—ant colony optimization, max-min ant system, timetabling

Abstract

Along with the city growth around the world, residential cluster also grows as a more preferable choice of housing. The high amount of residential cluster makes it inevitable for each cluster to looks the same with the other cluster. This paper will try to develop an idea so each cluster will look different. Index Terms—Artifical intelligence, computing, neural network, residential cluster.

Abstract

The traffic lights problem is already commonly found in large cities. The traffic lights are supposed to control the flow of the road, but sometimes causes a congestion. This happens because the distribution of the time are all the same for all lines, without seeing the condition of the density of each lane. There’s one effort that can be done to overcome this problem, is to create a traffic light control system. With this system, the congestion that occurs around the traffic lights can be reduced. This system is using fuzzy logic. Fuzzy logic is one of computer science that studies about the value of truth that worth a lot. For example, a air conditioning system control subway Sendai in Japan. As for making a traffic light control system, the author using Fuzzy Inference System (FIS) that already exist in the application of MATLAB R2013a with Mamdani method. Index Terms —fuzzy logic, traffic lights, MATLAB.

Abstract

One of the most popular technical indicator used in time series analysis for predicting future data is the Moving Average method. During its’ development, many variation and implementation have been made by researchers, one of them is the Weighted Exponential Moving Average (WEMA) which is introduced by Hansun. In this paper, we will try to implement the WEMA method on one of stock market change indicator in Indonesia, i.e. the Jakarta Stock Exchange (JKSE) composite index data. The research is continued by calculating the accuracy and robustness of WEMA method, using MSE and MAPE criteria. The result shows that the WEMA method can be used to predict JKSE data and it’s quite accurate. Kata kunci—time series analysis, JKSE, moving average, WEMA

Abstract

With a high rate of internet penetration, many developer kept trying to innovate using Internet as the backbone. One innovation that is under a microscope of every technology observer is Cloud Gaming. In order to play a new game, player need to check their computer specification before even try to install the game. loud Gaming can solve that solution by using internet connection. Unfortunately Indonesia does not have a supporting infratructure in order to fully support Cloud Gaming. Index Terms—cloud gaming, video game, server architectire, software development, game industry

Abstract

Nowadays, many Christian institutions are using digital media to save spiritual pictures, musics or videos, even daily devotional articles which is usually printed monthly. Since many daily devotionals are published in the Internet, it will be difficult to find a daily devotional articles with a spesific topic/category. To make it easier, in this research we use Rocchio’s classification, which use TF-IDF weighting for classification and centroid calculation in every category to classify daily devotional articles. Every testing article will be matched with the centroid using cosine similariy. As a result, the system accuracy is 73,33% using 20% of feature selection. The highest precision goes to Wisdom category which score is 1 for precision by using 100% feature selection. While the highest recall goes to Motivaton category which score is 1 by using 100% feature selection.. Index Terms—classification, categorization, daily devotional article, Rocchio’s classification, centroid, similarity

Abstract

Beauty is a precious asset for everyone. Everyone wants to have a healthy face. Unfortunately, there are always those problems that pops out on its own. For example, acnes, freckles, wrinkles, dull, oily and dry skin. Therefore, nowadays, there are a lot of beauty clinics available to help those who wants to solve their beauty troubles. But, not everyone can enjoy the facilities of those beauty clinics, for example those in the suburbs. The uneven distribution of doctors and the expensive cost of treatments are some of the reasons. In this research, the system that could help the patients to find the solution of their beauty problems is built. The decision tree method is used to take decision based on the shown schematic. Based on the system’s experiment, the average accuracy level hits 100%. Index Terms–Acnes, Decision Tree, Dry Skin, Dull, Facial Problems, Freckles, Wrinkles, Oily Skin, Eexpert System.

Abstract

Graduation Information is important for Universitas Multimedia Nusantara which engaged in education. The data of graduated students from each academic year is an important part as a source of information to make a decision for BAAK (Bureau of Academic and Student Administration). With this information, a prediction can be made for students who are still active whether they can graduate on time, fast, late or drop out with the implementation of data mining. The purpose of this study is to make a prediction of students’ graduation with C4.5 algorithm as a reference for making policies and actions of academic fields (BAAK) in reducing students who graduated late and did not pass. From the research, the category of IPS semester one to semester six, gender, origin of high school, and number of credits, can predict the graduation of students with conditions quickly pass, pass on time, pass late and drop out, using data mining with C4.5 algorithm. Category of semester six is the highly influential on the predicted outcome of graduation. With the application test result, accuracy of the graduation prediction acquired is 87.5%. Index Terms-Data mining, C4.5 algorithm, Universitas Multimedia Nusantara, prediction.

Abstract

User interface is very important part of an information system. Design requires a serious effort, especially in understanding the user requirements. User interface should support users in completing their tasks. This is becoming the user requirements to be fulfilled by information systems. In reviewing the user requirements a designer can use tools. Tool discussed in this paper is the Sequence Diagram.
