Abstract

This study aims to determine the application of cooperative learning model type think pair share (TPS) assisted by cube block media (Kubal) in mathematics learning in class V MIS Fathul Iman Palangka Raya, improve student learning outcomes, and find out how much improvement in learning outcomes is achieved through the model. The method used is Classroom Action Research (CAR) with the Kemmis & Mc. Taggart model consisting of planning, action, observation, and reflection stages. The subjects of this study were 27 students of class V B at MIS Fathul Iman with data collection techniques through tests, observations, and documentation. The results of the study showed that the application of the TPS model assisted by Kubal media can create interesting, interactive learning, and is able to encourage students to think critically. Learning was carried out in two cycles and showed a significant increase. Teacher and student activities increased with very good criteria, as well as an increase in student learning outcomes from an average of 62.6 (low category) classical completeness 52% and an average to 82.6 (high category) classical completeness to 89%. The increase in the N-Gain Test value of 0.7325 (high) increased from the low category to the high category. Conclusion, the cooperative learning model of the TPS type assisted by Kubal media is effective in improving the quality of learning and students' mathematics learning outcomes. Abstract

This study aims to improve the learning outcomes of mathematics multiplication material for second-grade students at SD GKST Talabosa using concrete learning media. The study involved 12 students, consisting of 9 male students and 3 female students, and employed a classroom action research method with Problem-Based Learning (PBL) approach. The concrete media used were stick pieces and straws. In the first cycle, the results showed 75% classical completeness and an average score of 88.33%, with 9 students achieving the competency standard and 3 students not yet achieving it, with the lowest score being 65 and the highest score being 97.5. Based on these findings, adjustments and improvements were made for the second cycle. In the second cycle, all students achieved the minimum completeness criteria, with the lowest score being 97.5 and the highest score being 100, and an average score of 99.79%. Based on the research conducted in cycles I and II, it shows that the use of concrete media in mathematics learning for second-grade students at SD GKST Talabosa can improve student learning outcomes.   Keywords: Learning Outcomes, learning media, Concrete Learning Media, Mathematics Learning, Multiplication

Abstract

This study aims to develop an interactive e-module based on the Self-Organized Learning Environment (SOLE) model on chance material to facilitate mathematical problem solving skills of junior high school students. The method used is research and development with the PLOMP model which goes through three stages: initial research, development, and assessment. Of the nine test items, seven were declared valid based on the Content Validity Ratio (CVR) analysis. The e-module development results have been validated by material experts and media experts with an average score of 88.52%, which indicates that the e-module is very feasible to use. The results of the problem solving ability test reached a score of 85.54, exceeding the school's Minimum Completion Criteria (KKM). Students also gave positive responses to the e-module from the aspects of material, appearance, and interest. This shows that e-modules are not only valid and practical, but also effective in facilitating mathematical problem solving skills. In conclusion, this SOLE-based interactive e-module is effective as a digital learning media to support students' mathematical problem solving skills and can be used as a supplement to teaching materials for mathematics teachers.   Keywords: Interactive E-Module, Mathematics, Problem Solving, SOLE

Abstract

This study aims to describe the profile of students' reflective thinking in solving AKM problems in terms of adversity quotient level. The method used is qualitative with a descriptive approach with the stages of giving written tests completed with the think-aloud technique, observation of answer sheets, interviews, data reduction, data analysis, data coding, and conclusions. The results showed that: (1) the reflective thinking profile of quitter students in solving AKM problems meets all indicators of the techniques component and one indicator on the conceptualization component, (2) the reflective thinking profile of camper students in solving AKM problems does not meet one indicator on the conceptualization component, namely thinking of other ways to solve problems, (3) the reflective thinking profile of climber students in solving AKM problems meets all components of reflective thinking including techniques, monitoring, insight, and conceptualization. In conclusion, each level of adversity quotient has a different reflective thinking profile according to the criteria of each type.   Keywords: Adversity Quotient, AKM, Reflective Thinking.

Abstract

This study aims to enhance students' creativity and innovation in mathematics learning through the integration of the STEAM approach at SMP Negeri Unggul Tunas Nusa. The research employed a quantitative experimental method with a one-group pre-test-post-test design. The sample consisted of 25 eighth-grade students from Tunas class. The research instruments included pre-test and post-test assessments to measure students' creativity and innovation. Data analysis was conducted using the Wilcoxon test with the assistance of SPSS software. The analysis results showed a significance value of 0.000 (< 0.05), leading to the rejection of the null hypothesis (H₀) and the acceptance of the alternative hypothesis (H₁). These findings indicate that the integration of the STEAM approach significantly improves students' creativity and innovation in geometry learning. Thus, the STEAM approach can serve as an effective strategy to create more active, creative, and contextual mathematics learning.   Keywords: STEAM, Mathematics Learning, Creativity, Innovation.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of using differentiated Student Worksheets (LKPD) on students' learning outcomes in the topic of three-dimensional shapes at SD Negeri 3 Susoh. The issue stems from conventional teaching methods that overlook students' diverse learning styles and interests, resulting in a low understanding of geometric concepts. This research employed a quantitative approach using a pre-experimental design with a one-group pretest-posttest model. The sample consisted of 17 fourth-grade students, grouped according to their learning styles: visual, auditory, and kinesthetic. Data were collected through essay-format pretests and posttests. The Wilcoxon test yielded a significance value of 0.000 (< 0.05), indicating a statistically significant difference between the pretest and posttest results after implementing the differentiated LKPD. The students' average scores increased from 35.76 to 77.65. These findings suggest that the use of differentiated LKPD positively influences students' learning outcomes in geometry, offering a more inclusive and adaptive approach that aligns with learners' individual characteristics.   Keywords: Differentiated LKPD, Learning outcomes, Three-dimensional shapes, Learning styles

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to explore the concept of school mathematics in the museum's geometry building to fill the lack of learning resources so that it can be used as a reference for learning. The method in this study uses an ethnographic approach. Data were obtained through thematic analysis, this analysis, and narrative analysis. The results of the study obtained mathematical concepts, namely spatial shapes such as blocks and cone then there are geometric transformations such as translation, reflection, and rotation, the concept of flat shapes such as circle, square and, rectangle. In conclusion, the exploration of the Gedung Juang 45 museum in Bekasi Regency can be a medium for ethnomathematics-based mathematics learning that is contextual and interesting, in line with the three elements of deep learning, namely awareness, meaningful, and fun.   Keywords: Ethnomathematics, Gedung Juang 45, Museum
