Abstract

We have been asked to think about a convention that will write a new constitution for the Indonesian Republic. What our reaction?We were surprised of idea of a new constitution? Why? Do we assume the present constitution/ the first and oldest one w!II remain in force forever?Our present constitution provides several methods of amendment. Why didn't the founding fathers include on amendment clause?How did we react to the suggestion that we were to participate in the new convention?Of course, existence of a certain particular constitutional features are desirable for the nation actual constitutions can provide inspiration but cannot tell us what is desirable.To reach conclusions about desirability, we must employ principles of evaluation.These are serious doubts that a new constitution should be helcl obviously no convention should be called, it can be expected to write a bitter constitution than we already have. Our constitution is thus not just a set of legal rules, It is also a paradigm.A paradigm is an overall view of things in terms of which particular experiences con be understoodMost of the young Indonesian modern generation now days encourages decision makers to egotism.Pragmation appears lo give possible scope for the exercise of common sense new elements in Indonesian life. To be pragmatic thus implies the opposite of being dogmatic theoretical or ideological.There is a widespread belief-Constitution means limited government.To be pragmatic as a dogma or ideological Pancasila appears to give maximum scope the exercise of common sense.As an open ideology Pancasila is better at least lo stumble around, than to go in the wrong direction. Not such as the Nazis exterminated the Jews, six. million of them/ in pursuit the dogma or ideology of "ryan Purity".Or the old German marxis had a slogan: "Und willst du nicht mein brudersein, so sch lag ich dir den scheidel ein" (If you don't want to be brother, I'll smack your skully).

Abstract

Recently corruption and women amid a debate in Indonesia, since several names involved to corruption cases in Indonesia. Media also intensively reported corruption cases involving women. But unfortunately, elections raised angle was often not based on the main theme of corruption, but rather from their feminine side. In fact, the chosen diction tends to expose a side of sexuality with a description of the physical appearance. This research aims to determine how the women featured in the news on Detik.com. As one of the popular news site in Indonesia, Detik.com has a hits calculation system and page views to determine the amount of potential readers. The method used in this research is qualitative, descriptive. Using critical paradigm, and model of Sara Millss critical discourse analysis, focuses on two main aspects is subject-object position and readers position. Based on the results of this research, women are often raised in the news based on the stereotypes attached to her. Moreover, high ratings for coverage about women shows that our society are more interested in things that are sensational.

Abstract

The development and advancement of technology today has brought many changes to daily life, including in public relations activities. One of them is Corporate Communication of PT. Pupuk Kujang, which is required to be able to take advantage of new media such as social media. Corporate Communication of PT. Pupuk Kujang use Instagram social media in public relations activities, especially in building good relationships with its stakeholders. This study aims to determine how the Corporate Communication of PT. Pupuk Kujang use Instagram media to build good relationships with stakeholders. This study uses a qualitative method with the concept of Media Richness Theory to measure the ability or wealth of Instagram media through the available features. The paradigm used was constructivism and data collection used interviews and non-participant observation. The research results show that the Corporate Communication of PT. Pupuk Kujang has made good use of Instagram media. Corporate Communication forms a team that is responsible for managing social media, to organize and create all content on social media including Instagram. To attract the attention and trust of stakeholders, Corporate Communication always has new innovations to keep up with the times. Contents presented on the innstagram of PT. Pupu ujang is very diverse to suit its stakeholders. And when viewed from Media Richness Theory, Instagram is included in the rich media class because it meets all Media Richness criteria.

Abstract

The title of this paper is Displacement Effect of TV and The childs functional Orientation to Media.This paper is to discuss the issue in Wacana as a scientific Journal published by FIKOM UPDM (B), which is meant to broaden perspective in conducting research in mass communication.For that purpose, the writer had made some analysis on the research conduct by IR Brown, JK Grammond, and RJ Wide entitled Displacement Effect of Television and the Childs Functional Orientation to the Media, which is related to the use of Mass Communication Current Perspective on Gratification Research published by Jay. G. Blummer and Elenn Katz.The research published by JR. Brown and his colleagues is focused on the displacements effects of TV and other mass communication media, such as books, comics, radio, and newspaper.This study tries to find out how effective the media is in influencing the development of childs who has sufficient facilities and who has not, where situsional and social factors are included to be necessarily considered in this study, such as where the children live, how the children spent their time, and what the media meant to them.

Abstract

Teman Tuli adalah salah satu dari bagian elemen masyarakat yang mengalami keterhambatan dalam mendengar serta memproduksi bahasa, dimana hal tersebut menyebabkan dampak yang cukup kompleks dalam kehidupan sosialnya. Tujuan penelian ini adalah untuk mengetahui bagaimana proses pembentukan self esteem dan self identity pada teman Tuli di organisasi GERKATIN Depok yang diawali dengan self disclosure dari teman Tuli itu sendiri. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode fenomenologi. Selain itu penelitian ini juga menggunakan teori identitas sosial yang di temukan oleh Henri Tajfel. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan jika teman Tuli sebenarnya tidak tertutup kepada teman dengar, justru sebenarnya teman Tuli ingin lebih dekat dengan teman dengar. Karena dengan bertukar pikiran dengan teman dengar, secara tidak langsung dapat meningkatkan self esteem dari teman Tuli. Selain itu identitas diri yang terbentuk pada teman Tuli adalah keinginan untuk dipanggil Tuli dibandingakan tunarungu, Karena Tuli merupakan identitas yang dilambangkan dengan kemampuan berbahasa isyarat.

Era reformasi merupakan kondisi dimungkinkan marak tumbuh aliran sempalan dalam agama di masyarakat Indonesia, batk dalam skala nasional maupun global Maksudnya perubahan ke arah peninqkatan kualitas pemahaman dan pengamalan ajaran agama, tetapi di antara dampaknya muncul gejolak protes hingga aksi anarkhis yang menimbukan konflik. Menarik diungkapkan motivasi lahirnya aliran sempalan dalam agama dan solusinya dilihat dari perspektif komunikassi.

Abstract

Peradaban masyarakat Madinah pada masa awal adalah bukti konkrit keberhasilan dakwah Rasulullah Muhammad saw. digambarkan hubungan sosial masyarakatnya sangat indah, saling menghargai dan menghormati di tengah- tengah perbedaan, tidak saling mcmaksakan kehendak dan pendapat sendiri. Keberhasilan ini tidak lepas dari kemampuan Rasulullah saw dalam mengkomunikasikan alaran-ajaran llahi dengan baik yang ditopang dengan keluhuran budi pekerti. Jika ditelusuri sirah (sejarah) Nabi, akan dijumpai keberhasilan itu karena beliau menerapkanseluruh prinsip-prinsip komunikasi dalam Al Qur'an secara konsisten. Abstract

Television is powerfull mass media that can be influence the audiences specially children. Animation movies are not always for children. Parent have to pay attention on the message of the animation movies for their children. Upin and Ipin movies is different from other animation movies. It is carry asia value dan religion value. This research about perceptions message in Upin and Ipin animations movies on MNC TV. Research method is kualitative descriptive that uses survey for collecting data. Perceptions theory, individual differences theory, and social categories theory.
