Abstract

Is there democracy in Islam?, how is the attitude of Muslims to democracy, is Islam compatible with democracy? This question gets a different reaction from Muslim thinkers. This means that Democracy in Islam is still a controversial issue, both theoretically and practically. There are at least two groups or blocks of views from Muslim thinkers. First the conservative group, they reject openly Islamic relations with democracy. For them in Islam there is no place for democracy. Second, the moderate Islamic view group. This group holds that the substance (essence) of democracy is in line with Islamic principles. While democracy in the view of Western educational philosophy in this paper is represented by the opinion of Dewey (1916/1996), Schumpeter (1942), Dahl (1971) and Zulu records (2001). While the view of democracy in the philosophy of Islamic education is represented by the view of moderate Islamic groups that bring Democracy into Islamic education in a dialogical way. The point is that the values of Democracy can be strengthened through education. Democracy and education are entities that can not be separated in achieving the two educational objectives as Nurcholis Madjid said in Indonesia context.

Abstract

Now a day there is a tendency someone see science as a product, less attention to the process. They have no attempt to find formulas, propositions, or new theories and try to control and forecast, just simply accept. In the context of seeking the truth, the true truth is done through the Apocalypse Approach. The truth based on revelation is absolute truth, because it is based on belief and belief. Then Discovery of the Truth Through a Non-Scientific Approach. Knowledge-carrying knowledge does not always go through scientific procedures and processes, this tends to be intuitive. Discovery of truth through a common sense approach This approach is usually less acceptable as a scientific truth. Then Discovery of truth through accidental approach The discovery of truth through accidental approach is not a scientifically-acquired truth, Discovery of truth through trial and error approach. The discovery of truth through an intuitive approach, The discovery of truth through an intuitive approach is obtained through an unconscious process without the use of reasoning and the process of scientific thinking. And the discovery of truth through the approach of authority. The discovery of truth through the Scientific Approach. That is the method of seeking the truth done by the philosophers. Research is very important in order to find the truth about science and science, History proves the excitement of research practice so that the impact on the fertile of science discoveries. Just how these sari lessons become our best teachers to get the spirit to do research, researching to find the truth, and increase the piety to Allah SWT.

Abstract

: Studying 'Ulum al-Diin (Religious Knowledge) is a must with the purpose of understanding about aspects relating to one's religion, while studying al-Fikr al-Islamiy (Islamic Thought) as the humanity of Islamic thinking which tends to use ratio, as well as applying in Dirasat Islamiyyah (Islamic Studies) armed with the paradigm of social science based on historical-empirical experience. While the position of al-'Ulum al-Ijtimaiyyah (Social Knowledge) as a real application in the social sphere of society. In the absence of real application as the application of al-'Ulum al-Ijtimaiyyah (Social Knowledge), the four components will not reach the point of contact with the Islamic scholarly link. The purpose of writing this scientific article aims to find answers from the coffers of rigidity between the relations of these four aspects so as to find common ground in answering the nature of Islamic scholarship in the face of globalization. The method used by the author is based on library research with reference to the theoretical framework and the ideas of previous scientists, by producing a conclusion that the four aspects have interconnection relationships that do not run individually, but meet each other on the circumference according to the portion and role of each -something.

Abstract

This article discusses the effort of renewal and basic reform of Muhammad Abduh in the Islamic world. Muhammad Abduh is one of the reformers in Islam, his breakthroughs are capable of bringing huge changes especially to the Islamic world, some of the reforms done in the fields of religion, education, politics and law. So some of the renewal of Abduh that we may still feel the impact to this day.

Abstract

leader is the central and determinant of the success of the goals of the organization or institution, the leader must have high morality and integrity. morality and integrity are urgent things not only for the success of leaders and institutions or organizations they lead but also an attitude of upholding human dignity and respect for human rights as basic human rights that must be respected and developed Leaders are required to have the ability to create situations conducive, safe and comfortable for his subordinates so that his subordinates can carry out their duties well and discipline and optimally. Based on this, the problems that will be examined in this study lead to: how is integrative leadership in improving and developing organizational effectiveness how is the integrative leadership model in an organization.

Abstract

The objective of this study is to examine ; (1) How is the implementation of using Multi Flow Map in Teaching Speaking for the Tenth Grade of Students MAN 5 Jombang?; (2) How are the students’ achievements after using Multi Flow Map in Speaking Skill? The method that used in this research is communicative language teaching the media that used in this research is multi-flow map.. The research design of this research is Classroom Action Research. This design was used because it was appropriate design to solve the problem that happened in the class. The subject was the tenth of MAN 5 Jombang. The taking score is related in four components, those are: pronunciation, grammatical, vocabulary and fluency. The result of the first cycle is failed because of students’ interaction were less optimal. So the writer decides to go to the second cycle, in this cycle the writer use more interesting media and the writer as the teacher more communicative during the class. The improvement of students’ speaking skill can be seen from the increase of their individual score from preliminary study to Cycle 2. The score of the speaking skill test showed that 19 of the students reached the target gain score. The criterion of success previously determined, 90,5% of the students in the class achieved 19 students in gain had been achieved. The improvement on the speaking skill covered the component of pronunciation, grammar, vocabulary and fluency. Dealing with the students’ interaction in the teaching and learning process, the analysis of observation showed positive results in that the students were enthusiastic and actively during in speaking. It can make the average of students’ score (77,67) higher than KKM (75).Finally, the implementation of Multi-flow Map to improve students speaking skill in the two Cycles was successfully.

Abstract

The process skills that need to be trained in the science lesson covers the basic process skills eg observe, measure, classify, communicate, recognize the relationship of space and time, as well as an integrated process skills eg, design and conduct experiments which includes preparing hypothesis, determining variables, preparing an operational definition, interpret data, analyze and synthesize data. The basic skills in the process approach is the observation, calculate, measure, classify, and make hypotheses. It can be concluded that the process skills in science teaching in elementary covering basic skills and integrated skills. Both of these skills can train students to discover and solve problems scientifically to produce products of science are facts, concepts, generalizations, legal and new theories.

Abstract

STMIK STIKOM Bali is one of the private universities in Bali. During the course of the development of leadership and culture in universities many have had a change. The main factor that has changed in the organizational culture is the development of technology and the increasing number of human resources. Organizational culture in a company that is a university is carried out to achieve the goals and vision and mission of a company. STIKOM Bali has a different organizational culture from other private universities. The main issue at this time is the relationship between education and training and organizational culture on employee performance. Currently employees in universities have an agenda for training and education activities, this is done to improve company performance. Increased companies are influenced by adequate and reliable human resources in carrying out activities. Education and training as well as organizational culture in universities have a considerable influence on the performance of employees themselves. From the urgency, it was felt necessary to do a training on organizational culture education in order to have a positive impact on employee performance at STIKOM Bali. This study uses a single case study with a descriptive qualitative approach. Primary sources are obtained from interviews, observation and documentation. From the results of research that has been found that training and education in organizational culture has a positive impact on employee performance at STIKOM Bali. This will be a reference in human resource development and affect the improvement of the company's vision and mission.

Abstract

Al-Quran is the revelation of Allah S.W.T which was revealed to the Prophet Muhammad as a guide for the whole life of mankind, not only Muslims in particular. For this reason, the Koran is an oasis in human life that is used as a guide in life. The originality of the Koran as a holy book is very guaranteed unlike other books, which until now have not been authentic and original, due to human behavior that dares to change and distort and there is no guarantee of originality certainty. Whereas in the Koran and the Hadith of the Prophet discuss the issue of Immortality or servitude to God is one of the responsibilities of man and Jin, naturally created by Allah. So that all the dynamics of human life on earth should be based on ubudiyah principles and values, both activities that are political, educational, economic, social, and so on. According to Imam al-Tabari in his interpretation; that the purpose of Allah creating man and jinn is to serve Him, if they do good they will be rewarded with reward, but if they do bad, then they will be rewarded with punishment later on the Day of Judgment. This, is not based on the needs of God, humans worship, but for the sake of benefit and the benefits also return to humans themselves.

Abstract

Morals can reflect personality as well as can portray characters that if goodness is called good character or noble character, and which contains evil is called bad character or despicable character. Parents always hope for children who are born as descendants of descendants as well as a mandate from Allah SWT, who will become intelligent, pious, and virtuous children, as well as useful for themselves, society and the country. For a long time now, attention to children's lives has always been prioritized, at least from the point of development. The family has an important role in determining the future of the child later, because in the family environment a child also first receives the values and norms that shape his personality later. Basically, the pattern of parenting in a family varies from one family to another. The difference in parenting in the family makes each individual or child have different characteristics or morals in everyday life. In this case all of us can understand that the basic principle of education is something that comes from the family environment. In order for the process of moral formation, so that it can go straight with Islamic education requires serious contributions in shaping the character of children. Then the role of parents is very important and is the most important thing.
