Abstract

This study aims to determine whether the application of brain-friendly learning through whole brain teaching gives a positive effect on the creative character of students, to know the response of the students against the application of brain-friendly learning through whole brain teaching, and to find out if the student response against the application of brain-friendly learning through whole brain teaching correlates positively with the creative character of students in learning mathematics. The research method used that is quantitative. The instruments used, namely the now student response related application of brain-friendly learning through whole brain teaching, and sheets of observation about the creativity of students in learning mathematics after implementing this method. The correlation analysis with the results of the study showed that the value of the larger significance of the alpha values (5%) which means accepting and rejecting H0 Ha which means student response against the application of brain-friendly learning through whole brain teaching not correlated positively with the creative character of students in learning mathematics. The average student response score against this method is found on very good i.e. amounted to 85%. As for the observations of the creative character of the students, after this method is applied, the average score of 68% is found quite creative

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan, (1) mengembangkan model pembelajaran Fisika interaktif berbasis Web, (2) mengetahui apakah penerapan model pembelajaran Fisika interaktif berbasis Web dapat meningkatkan pemahaman siswa kelas I SMUN 1 Singaraja tentang konsep Kine-matika Gerak Lurus yang ditampilkan di halaman Web, dan (3) mendeskripsikan respon siswa terhadap model. Untuk mencapai tujuan tersebut dilakukan penelitian dalam dua tahapan, yaitu: pengembangan model dan implementasi. Data dikumpulkan dengan tes, angket, wawancara. Data yang terkumpul dianalisis secara statistik deskriptif. Hasil penelitian diperoleh sebagai berikut. (1) Model pembelajaran Fisika interaktif berbasis Web yang dikembangkan dapat diakses melalui alamat URL: http://www.geocities.com/suwindra/. (2) Model pembelajaran Fisika interaktif ber-basis Web dapat meningkatkan pemahaman siswa tentang konsep Fisika. (5) Berdasarkan analisis respon siswa, lebih dari 85% siswa yang terlibat memberikan respon positif, kurang dari 12% merespon negatif, dan sisanya 2,26% ragu-ragu.Kata kunci : model pembelajaran interaktif berbasis Web.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine students’ needs to the module of Islamic education courses that have principles of anti-radicalism and anti-terrorism. This research is a developmental research. The models and procedures of this research use 4-D (four-D models) development model that consist of four stages: define, design, develop, and disseminate. The data analysis technique used in this research is descriptive analysis describing the result of the module of Islamic education course that has anti-radicalism and anti-terrorism, which has been designed containing the identity of the course, instruction of the use of module for students and lecturers, worksheet for students,  answer keys to the work sheet, evaluation sheets, and keys for the evaluation sheets.

Abstract

Tujuan utama penelitian ini adalah melaksanakan analisis kebutuhan dalam mengem-bangkan buklet edukatif tematik (BET) untuk memberikan pendidikan kesehatan di SD. Analisis kebutuhan dilakukan untuk mengetahui profil siswa SD berkaitan dengan perilaku hidup sehat dan bersih (PHBS), tema yang dikembangkan guru dalam pembelajaran tematik di kelas II SD, fasilitas dan lingkungan sekolah untuk mendukung PHBS siswa,  kendala instruksional yang dihadapi guru dalam  pembelajaran tematik, masalah-masalah kesehatan yang dapat dikembangkan sebagai tema, kondisi di lingkungan siswa yang dapat digunakan sebagai acuan untuk mengembangkan tema kesehatan. Sampel penelitian adalah siswa kelas II SD, guru SD, kepala sekolah, dan orang tua siswa di kota Singaraja. Teknik pengumpulan data adalah: wawancara, observasi, dan penyebaran kuesioner. Dari analisis data diperoleh bahwa PHBS siswa untuk indikator kebersihan diri dan ke-bersihan lingkungan untuk aspek tertentu sudah cukup baik (seperti mencuci tangan, mandi, mem-buang sampah), tetapi pada aspek lain perlu ditingkatkan. Kepala sekolah, guru kelas II, dan orang tua siswa sangat setuju dikembangkan buklet sebagai media pendidikan kesehatan di SD.Kata kunci: buklet edukatif tematik, pendidikan kesehatan.

Abstract

This study that aimed at improving learning outcomes in social science using cooperative learning model type Jigsaw in social science. The model was implemented in a primary school. This learning model was developed into 2013 curriculum-based learning. We conducted the study into cycle 1 and cycle 2, each consisted of 3 meetings. The research subjects were 4th grade students. The research design was arranged based on planning, action, and reflection. Results show that there is an increase in the number of students passing the minimum requirement. Therefore, Jigsaw can improve students’ learning outcomes.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan meningkatkan keterampilan berbicara dalam bahasa Bali melalui pemberdayaan teknik bercerita inovatIf yang diimplementasikan melalui pembelajaran integratif. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas yang dilaksanakan di kelas III SD No. 2 Sukasada dengan subjek 24 orang siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa implementasi teknik pembelajaran bercerita inovatif yang mengintegrasikan semua keterampilan berbahasa, yaitu mendengarkan, menulis, bercerita, dan membaca serta aspek bahasa seperti kosakata, gramatika, lafal dalam proses pembelajaran dapat meningkatkan keterampilan berbicara siswa. Abstract

The purpose of Indonesian language learning for BIPA (Indonesian Language Learning for Foreign Speakers) students emphasizes the involvement/participation of students in the learning process. This study contains 1) the nature of educational management for foreign students studying in Indonesia; 2) implementation of educational management in Indonesian language learning for foreign speakers (BIPA); 3) Indonesian language learning plans for BIPA students; and 4) the implementation of Indonesian language learning for BIPA students based on the introduction of Indonesian culture. Data collection techniques in this study use observation, document analysis, interviews and documentation techniques. Then, data analysis techniques are carried out by means of data collection, data reduction, data presentation and conclusion drawing. The management of education for BIPA students is different from the management of education for Indonesian students because BIPA students consist of various cultures and different countries. The implementation of education management must also be included in the semester implementation plan (RPS), learning syllabus, and learning evaluation in the BIPA class. Learning plans in the BIPA class are also important to highlight because they will present facts that are different from the language learning plan in the regular class. The results of this study are highlights and ideas in educational management and Indonesian language learning in the BIPA program. This can be implemented in Indonesian language learning for foreign students in the BIPA class to be more effective based on the introduction of Indonesian culture because foreign students will be enthusiastic and interested in Indonesia's rich and diverse cultural products. The implication of the idea in this article is that it can be used as a reference material in the implementation of BIPA program educational management and provide insight and reinforcement about the role of Indonesian culture as a supporting tool in the learning process in the BIPA program.

Abstract

This research aimed at analyzing the contribution of self-esteem, achievement motivation and self-efficacy on students’ anxiety and their anxiety on speaking competency in English. The popu-lation of this study was the first semester students of English Education Department, Ganesha University of Education. This research used correlational design and the data were analyzed by using multiple regression analysis. The results showed that: (1) there was a significant contribution of self-esteem towards students’ anxiety at 33.6%, (2) there was a significant contribution of achievement motivation towards students’ anxiety at 28.7%, (3) there was a significant contribution of self-efficacy towards students’ anxiety at 31.0%, (4) there was a significant simultaneous contri-bution of self-esteem, achievement motivation, and self-efficacy towards students’ anxiety at 40.8%, and (5) there was a significant contribution of students’ anxiety towards students’ speaking competency at 54.0%. Keywords: self-esteem, achievement motivation, self-efficacy, students’  anxiety,  speaking competency

Abstract

Studi deskriptif kualita-tif ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan perkembangan tulisan mahasiswa setelah mendapatkan umpan balik dari dosen. Empat Mahasiswa Jurusan Seni Rupa dan Desain Fakultas Bahasa dan Seni Universitas Pendidikan Ganesha dilibatkan dalam studi ini. Masing-masing dari keempat mahasiswa itu diminta untuk menulis karangan berbahasa Inggris dengan 150 kata yang bertopik „Perkembangan Sejarah Keberadaan Jurusan Seni Rupa dan Disain Universitas Pendidikan Ganesha. Selanjutnya, dosen memberikan koreksi komprehensif yang meliputi: koreksi langsung dan diskusi lisan dengan mahasiswa secara berhadap-hadapan. Dalam koreksi gramatika yang dilakukan oleh dosen, keempat mahasiswa tersebut disuruh merevisi pekerjaannya berdasarkan umpan balik dosen berupa koreksi tulisan yang dicantumkan dalam tulisan asli mereka masing-masing. Diskusi lisan untuk membantu mahasiswa mencapai pemahaman yang lebih baik dalam aspek gramatika pada tulisannya juga dilakukan setelah mereka mengumpulkan kembali hasil revisinya seminggu setelahnya. Seminggu setelah diskusi lisan tersebut, mereka disuruh merevisi tulisan aslinya. Data yang didapat dianalisis secara deskriptif. Temuan penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa mahasiswa mengalami peningkatan dalam tulisan yang mereka telah revisi sesuai dengan umpan balik yang diberikan dosen, akan tetapi kesuksesan ini tidak terjadi dalam tulisan versi tes yang dilakukan pada kegiatan berikutnya. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa koreksi dosen sendiri tidak memfasilitasi belajar kebahasaan.Key words: writing skill, lecturer‟s error feedback, oral conferencing

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui keefektifan pelatihan metode self-instruction dalam meningkatkan self-esteem siswa SMA. Penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan eksperimen yaitu one-group pretest-posttest design dengan subjek 5 orang siswa kelas XI SMA. Lab. Undiksha Singaraja yang teridentifikasi sebagai siswa yang memiliki self-esteem rendah. Instrumen yang digunakan ya-itu skala self-esteem dan instrumen untuk bahan perlakuan berupa buku panduan pelatihan dengan metode self-instruction. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ada perbedaan tingkat self-esteem sis-wa sebelum dan setelah mendapatkan intervensi pelatihan dengan metode self-instruction. Dengan menggunakan uji Wilcoxon Signed-Rank Test, diperoleh bahwa intervensi metode self-instruction se-cara signifikan dapat meningkatkan self esteem siswa. Kata-kata Kunci: self instruction, self esteem, perilaku kognitif
