Abstract

This research aims to determine the pattern of dominance side contraction numbers in banana tree graphs and fireworks graphs. Banana tree graph Bn,,k is  a graph obtained by connecting one leaf from each n-copies  of a k star graph with one vertex that is different from all the star graphs. The fireworks graph  is a tree that is similar to the caterpillar graph, the difference lies in the backbone node n which is connected to the earring node k from the caterpillar graph. The dominating number is denoted by γ ( G ) is the smallest cardinality of a dominating set. Domination set The minimum is a dominating set from which no points can be removed without changing its dominance. Domination contraction number of a graph ctγ ( G ) is defined as the minimum number of edges that must be contracted to reduce the dominance number .

Abstract

The Office of the Ministry of Religious Affairs of Medan City is a state ministry that provides hajj departure services for prospective pilgrims. In conducting the registration process for Hajj departure, the Office of the Ministry of Religious Affairs of Medan City has not provided a system, so the registration process is still carried out conventionally. Prospective pilgrims must come directly to register for Hajj by filling out the registration form and bringing the requirements needed for registration. By doing this, there are still problems that occur, especially in terms of time, cost, and energy spent. Therefore, the purpose of this research is to build a mobile-based information system using a quota-based method to facilitate Hajj registration. The system development method used is the Rapid Application Development (RAD) method, which consists of planning, design, and implementation workshops. While the tools used by the author in creating a visual information system design are UML (Unified Modeling Language), this mobile-based information system was built using the Kodular framework and the Airtable database. With this information system, it is expected to help prospective pilgrims register for Hajj easily and quickly through Android mobile.

Abstract

ABSTRACTThe increasing population growth in North Sumatra Province every year has an impact on increasing the need for staple sources for daily life in North Sumatra, so it is necessary to do a forecast to anticipate food shortages in the future. This study aims to determine the results of tobacco production in North Sumatra Province in 2024 and the level of accuracy of the methods used. The results of the study obtained the prediction of rice production in North Sumatra Province in 2024 using the Singular Spectrum Analysis (SSA) method, respectively from Quarter I to Quarter III, of 665 tons, 725 tons, and 740 tons, with a level of forecasting accuracy based on the standard MAPE value obtained of 15.78%. The MAPE value obtained is less than 10% and close to 0%, meaning that the SSA method with window lengths of 9 and 7 groups is very accurate for predicting tobacco production in North Sumatra Province.

Abstract

Classrooms are one of the main needs for educational institutions to carry out learning activities and are an important element in creating an optimal learning environment for educators and students. Determining the number of classrooms should be done through the thorough calculation. The aim of this research is to perform how pigeonhole principle can be applied to verify the numbers of classroom needed. In working with pigeonhole principle, it should be clear what will be “pigeon”, and what will be “pigeonhole”. According to the results of this research, as we took the case study for Faculty of Science and Technology Universitas Jambi which currently build a new building, if FST wants to allocate the rooms for each department, it will need 52 classrooms based on scheme 1 and 58 classrooms based on scheme 2. While if FST does not consider the allocation for each department, then it will need 45 rooms based on scheme 1 and 46 classrooms based on sheme 2.

Abstract

This research is related to the development of an Android-based futsal field booking application at Laut Dendang Futsal using the First Come First Serve (FCFS) method. Currently, tenants are facing problems with booking futsal fields, especially because the booking process is still manual and time consuming at Laut Dendang Futsal. Ordering systems that do not use information technology cause customers to have to visit the location directly to order the field. The FCFS method is applied to arrange a futsal field booking schedule based on order of arrival, where requests that arrive first will be served first. This research builds an Android-based application with the aim of increasing efficiency in booking management and futsal field scheduling. The development approach used is the Extreme Programming method, which includes planning, design, coding and continuous testing. The results of application development show good performance in minimizing ordering errors and making it easy for Laut Dendang Futsal customers to order fields without having to come directly to the location. Admin can easily manage and record orders, avoiding errors in the ordering system. Thus, this research makes a positive contribution in increasing the efficiency of booking futsal fields, as well as speeding up responses to incidents.

Abstract

In export data, there are often seasonal fluctuations caused by various factors, and STL (Seasonal Trend decomposition using Loess) can help effectively separate these seasonal components. STL is an algorithm developed to decompose a time series into three components: trend, seasonal, and remainder, aiding in a better understanding of the underlying patterns and variations in the data. The data taken in this study are data on the number of exports (tonnes) in the period January 2018 to December 2022 sourced from bps. From the forecasting results it can be concluded that the largest BM export value is 6357.6131 (tons), the largest BP export value is 859804.0 (tons) and the largest BP export value is 113157.64 (tons).
