Abstract

Anxiety is a condition that arises when there is a threat of helplessness, feelings of isolation. Anxiety is also a matter of excessive concern and internalized as well as a variety of summative symptoms that cause significant disturbances in social or work functions that cause a decrease in interest in learning mathematics in students. Interest has a very important role in the learning process because interest is one of the determining factors in the success or action of the instructor's objectives to be achieved. Students who are not interested in the subject matter will show less sympathetic, lazy and not passionate attitudes. The data collection method uses a questionnaire for learning interest variables. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship of student anxiety to interest in learning mathematics. The research subjects were 30 students. Based on the results of the study, it was concluded that: (1) there was a relationship of students 'anxiety to the interest in learning mathematics, or in other words the interest in learning mathematics at all was related by students' anxiety in their interest in learning mathematics in the face of examinations, especially in mathematics; (2) there is no relationship of interest in learning mathematics, or in other words there is no relationship of interest in learning mathematics that students have in learning mathematics. The relationship of anxiety that occurs between mathematics learning interest and anxiety is negative 0,417; (3) as a stimulus, anxiety about learning interest has a proven influence on the relationship of students' anxiety to mathematics learning interest

Abstract

This study entitled The Effect of Anxiety on Students' MathematicsLearning Achievement in SMP Negeri 28 Medan. In this study,anxiety as an independent variable and mathematics learningachievement as the dependent variable. Anxiety when learningmathematics possessed by students tends to be influenced by theimage of mathematics lessons that are already known to befrightening. This is because students recognize mathematicssubjects are difficult and complicated subjects, so that it triggersfear of students to learn mathematics and cause anxiety when facedwith mathematics. Based on the theory, there are many factors thatinfluence students' mathematics learning achievement. In thisstudy, researchers took the anxiety factor above. This research tookplace at SMP Negeri 28 Medan, which was located at Jl. KaryaBersama No. 17 Medan Johor. The research method used in thisstudy is a quantitative method with a sample of all eighth gradestudents totaling 273 students and divided into 8 (eight) studygroups. Data taken in the form of questionnaires and analyzedusing simple linear regression analysis. Data analysis wasperformed using SPSS 21 software for Windows. From the resultsof this study, it was concluded that there was no effect of anxietyon students' mathematics learning achievement. Or in other words,students' mathematics learning achievements are not at all affectedby the students' anxiety in facing exams, especially in mathematics.

Abstract

Stock is an investment in the capital market that is very promising for investors. Investors can also get high returns from the shares invested. However, this stock price is not always stable, it can go up and down drastically. The purpose of this study is to predict stock prices because they often experience instability. The method used in this research is using the Exponential generalized autoregressive conditional heteroscedasticity (EGARCH) model with the Quasi Maximum Likelihood (QML) method. The result of this research is the implementation of this model. The EGARCH model used is the stock price index model that is formed, namely the autoregressive integrated moving average (ARIMA) (0, 1, 2) EGARCH (1.4). The conclusion from the results of the research that predictions using the ARIMA model (0, 1, 2) EGARCH (1, 4) is the best model in accommodating the asymmetric nature of the volatility of the stock price index. The results of this egarch model show more optimal prediction results seen from an error of 3% compared to other modes such as the arch model and the GARCH model.

Abstract

Cabbage is a seasonal plant that contains vitamin A, vitamin B complex, iron, potassium, rivoplafin and folic acid. The problems that often occur with cabbage are pests and diseases which are a serious problem, if not handled properly, the plants may die or not grow properly. Diseases that often attack cabbage are wilting leaves, root rot, fruit and flowers. The limited time of an agricultural expert is an obstacle for farmers to carry out consultations to solve a problem to get the best solution. The process of diagnosis with the help of experts can be applied to the Dempster Shafer method. The Dempster Shafer method is a solution in diagnosis because this method can provide additional information in the form of the percentage of confidence in the disease suffered by an object. The results of this study indicate that from the symptoms obtained using the Dempster Shafer method in 3 cases given by farmers, the percentage of confidence was 82% for wet rot disease, 73.3% for black leg rot disease and 73% for powdery mildew disease, so this method assessed can be applied to the diagnosis of diseases in cabbage plants

Abstract

Education and culture are inseparable, much like two sides of a coin. Ethnomathematics emerges to bridge the gap between education and culture, particularly in the context of mathematics learning. Surprisingly, without realizing it, the Mandailing community has long been applying mathematical concepts, as can be seen in the architecture of the Bagas Godang in Mandailing Natal. The aim of this research is to explore and describe the mathematical concepts found in the structure and ornaments of the Bagas Godang. This study adopts a qualitative research design with an ethnographic approach. The elements of the building, such as fences, windows, roofs, roof ornaments, house structure, pillars, and stairs in the Bagas Godang, contain mathematical concepts, namely geometry and odd numbers, which can be utilized as a means of teaching mathematics.

Abstract

This research includes extreme spatial values. Application of the method with the Max-Stable (MSP) process. The approach will be used for the analysis of extreme rainfall in Medan City and Deli Serdang Regency. The extreme value sample selected by the Block Maxima Method, will be estimated to the spatial extreme value form by including location factors. The Max Stable Process (MSP) is an extension of the Multivariate distribution of extreme values into an infinite dimension of the theoretical extreme values. After selecting the best model, extreme rainfall data in Medan City and Deli Serdang Regency were obtained, then calculating predictions of extreme rainfall with certain time periods. Predictions are calculated using the rate of return, predictions of extreme rainfall using the return period for the next two years, in the city of Medan Belawan Maritime Station will reach 122.98 mm, BMKG Region 1 Station will reach a value of 139.13 mm. And the rain monitor in Deli Serdang Regency, the Deli Serdang Geophysics Station is predicted to be a maximum of 218.09 mm, the Kualanamu Meteorological Station is predicted to reach 91.87 mm, the North Sumatra Climatology Station will reach a maximum value of 174.18 mm. Predicted maximum Precipitation extremes can also be calculated for t (time) in future periods

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk memperoleh informasi tentang peningkatan hasil belajar mahasiswa melalui penerapan strategi pembelajaran kooperatif. Hal inididorong oleh hasil pengamatan awal bahwa hasil belajar mahasiswa pada mata kuliah Matematika Ekonomi sangatlah rendah. Yang menjadi populasi padapenelitian ini adalah mahasiswa Semester V Program Studi Pendidikan Matematika Tahun Ajaran 2019/2020. Dari populasi tersebut, yang terpilihsebagai sampel adalah 42 orang mahasiswa dari kelas A yang akan menerima pembelajaran melalui penerapan strategi pembelajaran kooperatif.Seluruh sampel diberikan sepaket tes hasil belajar yang berisi 5 (lima) soal uraian yang diberikan sebelum dan sesudah pembelajaran. Dari tes hasil belajar yangdiberikan sebelum pembelajaran melalui penerapan strategi pembelajaran kooperatif dilakukan, diperoleh rata-rata nilai mahasiswa sebesar 25,2. Sedangkanrata-rata nilai mahasiswa setelah pembelajaran melalui penerapan strategi pembelajaran kooperatif adalah 85,0. Terlihat jelas bahwa terjadi peningkatanrata-rata nilai hasil belajar mahasiswa. Dari hasil tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat peningkatan hasil belajar mahasiswa pada mata kuliahMatematika Ekonomi melalui penerapan strategi pembelajaran kooperatif.

Abstract

Matematika dan budaya merupakan dua hal yang tidak dapat dipisahkan karena penerapan ilmu matematika selalu diterapkan dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Budaya dapat dijadikan sumber pembelajaran bagi siswa di sekolah. Penerapan matematika dan budaya yang ada di sekitar siswa dapat dijadikan hal yang inovatif dalam pembelajaran serta dapat melatih siswa untuk berpikir memecahkan suatu masalah. Ilmu matematika yang dihubungkan dengan budaya dinamakan etnomatematika. Salah satu tempat bersejarah di Deli Serdang yaitu Museum Deli Serdang yang lokasinya berada di Jalan Petapahan Kec. Lubuk Pakam Kab. Deli Serdang. Dalam penelitian ini yang dijadikan sebagai etnomatematika adalah objek Museum Deli Serdang. Penelitian ini dilakukan bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi etnomatematika pada Museum Deli Serdang. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan etnografi. Pengumpulan data yang dilakukan peneliti secara langsung melalui observasi, wawancara, dokumentasi, dan studi pustaka. Berdasarkan dari hasil pengamatan yang dilakukan oleh peneliti, peneliti memperoleh beberapa konsep matematika yaitu bangun datar dan bangun ruang di Museum Deli Serdang. Dari temuan eksplorasi pada Museum Deli Serdang memperoleh bahwa terdapat konsep matematika yaitu bangun datar segi empat, seperti persegi panjang, persegi, trapesium, dan bangun datar sisi lengkung berbentuk lingkaran serta bangun ruang sisi lengkung yaitu tabung.
