Abstract

Time series data from bitcoin has nonlinear data fluctuations so that a model is needed that can accommodate data with these conditions. The method that can be used for nonlinear time series data cases such as bitcoin is the LSTAR-GARCH model. LSTAR-GARCH is a combination of the LSTAR model and the GARCH model. Bitcoin investment also contains an element of risk. To find out the value of risk, the Expected Tail Loss risk measurement tool can be used. Expected Tail Loss (ETL). The data used in this study are historical daily bitcoin price data for the period April 1, 2022 to April 1, 2023. The modeling results obtained based on the MAPE value show that the LSTAR-GARCH model is the best model with the smallest MAPE value of 30% compared to the AR, LSTAR, or AR-GARCH models. The expected Taill loss value of bitcoin is -0.06784.

Abstract

Currently, technological advancements have undergone incredibly rapid development. Modern technology is capable of contributing to solving various challenges in different sectors, including the field of animal husbandry. Computers have been integrated as tools to perform tasks or identify existing issues, thus determining the suitability of selecting sacrificial animals. Essentially, whether or not an animal is accepted as a sacrificial offering depends on a series of conditions. Therefore, it is crucial to ascertain whether the animal meets the requirements.Based on research findings, the assessment of code P001 is made using criteria such as Animal Weight, Animal Age, Animal Gender, Blindness, Illness, Limping, Emaciation, and Complete Ears. The assessment is conducted according to the SMART method. The final calculated value for the selection of sacrificial animals is 0.61. Based on the weighting of the final value, it can be concluded that animals with a value of 0.61 are recommended for selection.

Abstract

Religious moderation is a religious perspective by understanding and practicing religious teachings in a balanced or non-extreme way. Currently, learning about religious moderation is only carried out at school, which is explained by a teacher. Limited insight into religious moderation is one of the factors why students lack empathy towards religious communities. Therefore, a mobile- based learning application is needed that can be the right solution to bring learning about religious moderation into the hands of students, facilitating access and learning outside the classroom to create a young generation that understands differences, and understands that religious diversity is something that normal in society. The tools used to design this system are UML (Unified Modeling Language), which consists of Use Case Diagrams, Sequence Diagrams and Class Diagrams. The application system was built using Android Studio as the programming language and Firebase as the database. It is hoped that this application can be an effective means of increasing students' understanding of religious moderation so as to make a positive contribution in creating a young generation that respects differences, and becomes agents of peace in a society with diverse religions and beliefs.

Abstract

Children's health is certainly a concern for parents, especially coupled with various types of viruses that became outbreaks in 2020. Therefore, parents' concerns about their children become greater. Without proper treatment and handling, usually Nephrotic Syndrome disease will assume everything that is done is right even though it deviates. In the field of medicine, the precision with which an illness is diagnosed and the speed with which the diagnosis is made are both crucial. The patient's health will suffer as a result of treatment decisions being delayed due to misdiagnosis. However, there are occasionally only a few doctors available. The Dempster Shafer technique produces precise, quick, and accurate diagnoses by garnering the respect of experts based on their expertise. In this study, disease will be identified using the Dempster-Shafer approach. This study's output is an expert system that, without consulting an expert directly, can determine whether a person has a condition based on the symptoms they are experiencing.  By contrasting the outcomes of expert diagnostics with those generated by the system, high accuracy, testing of this system comprises determining the validity of the system's accuracy value.

Abstract

Waste is a classic problrm that occurs in metropolis such as Medan. As a city of trade and industry, the waste generated in Medan city is increasing every day. This research was made based on the problems that exist in Medan Marelan Sub-district. The problem of waste distribution in Medan Marelan does not yet have a fixed route and runs two routes or two rounds every day so that waste transportation is not optimal which results in piles of garbage at several points that are missed and ineffective time. Based on these problems, this research was made using the Clarke and  Wright Saving Heuristic method. The purpose of this study is to determine the optimal waste transportation route for waste distribution so as to minimize distribution costs. From the processing, the route that will be obtained can be determined by two  methods,  namely  nearest  neighbor and farthers insertion. From the observations of the two methods used, the total distance on each route is different. For example, on the first Typer Truck route, the Farthest Insert Method is 34.126 km and the Nearest Neighbor Method is 32.595 km with the required fuel of 6.8 liters and 6.5 liters. The second Typer Truck Farthest Insert Method is 13.275 km and the Nearest Neighbor Method is 13.506 km with 2.65  liters  and  2.7  liters  of fuel. And  the  third  Typer Truck Farthest Insert Method is 13.075 km and Nearest Neighbor Method is 13.225 km with 2.6 Liters and 2.64 Liters offuel.

Abstract

Minimum Volume Ellipsoid (MVE) and Minimum Covariance Determinant (MCD) are robust methods used to handle the outlier problem. Outliers are points that appear to deviate significantly from other data sample points that can have a significant effect on the results of the analysis, so a robust method is needed to solve this problem. MVE and MCD have a high breakdown point or level of resistance to outliers, which is 50%, so that it can overcome the influence of extreme outliers. Based on this research, it is known that by using the same data, the MVE and MCD methods produce more robust estimates that were not affected by outliers. The non robust method just found 10 outliers, while the MVE method found that were 276 data points detected as outliers and for the MCD method, the estimation result is with 257 data points detected as outliers.

Abstract

Poverty is one of the many problems that have not been completely resolved by the government in Indonesia, one of which is poverty in the province of North Sumatra. To estimate the percentage of poor people, data is needed in each area using the Small Area Estimation method. Small Area Estimation is used to estimate the parameters of a subpopulation that has a small scope. However, to get a better estimate, you can use an indirect estimation method, one of which is the semiparametric Penalized Spline approach. This method can be used in conjunction with small area estimation because it can connect the two components in the model between the response variable and the predictor variable which is linear and the relationship between the response variable and the predictor variable is non-linear. Based on the small area estimation model with a semiparametric penalized spline approach, the best is found in model 4 with a coefficient of determination value of 0.645 where the value is close to 1, which means the results are good to use. The average poor population in North Sumatra province is estimated at 15.38%, the highest poor population is in Pakpak Bharat at 22.66% and the lowest estimated poor population is in Deli Serdang at 7.51%.
